I want to thank Netgalley for a copy of this graphic novel to read
I found the art in this book to be aamazing and so beautiful, the deep colours used within the characters but also for the feelings etc was stunning. The story for me at first started of strong and kind of dragged a little at the end but I am looking forward to reading vol 2 when it releases to find out more of what's happening but so far it's a story I enjoyed

Beautiful artwork but I found the storyline really hard to follow. The background information wasn’t given enough depth and the scenes felt really rushed

my issues with this book:
- writing and dialogue felt unnatural and forced,
- art style was stiff and all the male characters had the exact same face but with a different hairstyle
- too short to see any character development while somehow still feeling too long and boring
still, it had dragons and a cute horse, and it's a very quick read! so if you're willing to overlook all of that and just want something entertaining to pass the day, you might want to give this one a try!

Gorgeous artwork, steamy enemies to lovers romance with a high fantasy storyline!
Clove is the last heir of the Cerulean Dragon Clan that has been battling the Crimson Empire for over 300 years.
A political alliance marriage is offered by the Crown Prince Kyro of the Crimson Empire
However he is not even interested in the mere presence of clove when she arrives
After her arrival to the crimson palace, secrets from both sides become more seen and the alliance may not be what everyone thinks.
Im so excited for volume 2 and will be starting the webtoon series!

I have been obsessed with SubZero for a long time, since it was put on webtoons, and I am so excited to see it as a series of volumes. It's got drama, danger, and dragons!! What more could you want? Not to mention the gorgeous art style. It was so lovely going back and reading where the story all began. Can't wait for volume 2.
Thank you netgalley and publishers for the arc.

I’m not a very experienced graphic novel reader as I’ve only ever picked up the Heartstopper series, so when I saw this on NetGalley I thought I’d request it and give it a go!
I was very pleasantly surprised with how much I got into the characters and the storyline - it’s certainly bingeable and took me less than 2 hours to read, and upon finishing I’m definitely looking forward to reading the next in the series!

Gorgeously bright and detailed illustrations pair with dragons and warring kingdoms to offer this interesting beginning to a comic.
Clove is the heir to the Cerulean Dragon clan fighting a war against the Crimson empire. To bring peace she agrees to marry the crimson dragon.
Great opening volume for those who haven’t read the series as there is just enough to introduce the story and leave you wanting more.
It’s always nice to read web comics in book format without the scroll eye strain.
Would recommend it to anyone wanting an enemy nation, angst, love triangle type of story.
I voluntarily read an advanced copy of this book. Thank you to the author and publisher. All thoughts and opinions are mine.

I've been following this book ever since it has been released on webtoon. The story is riveting with drama, love and mystery. It is such a fun and entertaining story, I can't wait for it to be officially published.

My ARC request was approved today, and I was so excited I read it right away. Best decision of the week...I LOVED IT 😍
I knew nothing about this book, so I went in completely blind. But then I started reading it and found people shapeshifting into dragons, enemies to lovers, a forced marriage, a snarky MMC and a FMC who seems quiet and docile, but is actually very strong and can stand up for herself. This book basically had everything I love!
And the drawings are so vibrant. I hadn't read anything in a manga style for a long time and I missed it. Seeing this style again, brought me back to when I was a teenager, reading tens of volumes of mangas every week. And the colours! I can't wait to see them on a printed page.
And obviously this volume ended on a cliffhanger and all I want to read now is volume 2 (which I think doesn't exist yet?😭 I'll go look it up now!)
thank you #netgalley and @onipress for providing me with a free copy in exchange for an honest review.

SubZero is a joy to read! There’s intrigue, mystery, and romance all offered in one gorgeous graphic novel. The primary character is Clove, a princess willing to marry the leader of a rival kingdom to end a 300-year war. But all is not what it seems with the offer of marriage, with the dragon-shifter prince Kyro, or with Clove.
Junepurrr does a great job of unfolding the layers of complex relationships that lie at the heart of Kyro’s kingdom. There are restless warriors, lovestruck guards, gossiping maids, and hidden powers—and Clove is the unwitting catalyst for action and transformation. And despite the multiple layers of deception and the many characters, Junepurrr structures everything in a clear, accessible way.
This volume contains the first 25 episodes of this series, so it’s the beginning of this saga of a dynastic marriage. But I was definitely intrigued enough to want more right away!

The story does start off slow but overall I like it! The illustration is everything!!! It was beautifully done. I can’t wait for Vol 2:)

A political marriage with dragon shifters, in full colour! I can see this appealing to older teens, the characters were a little too juvenile for me to stay engaged.
Thank you to Oni Press for the eARC via NetGalley. Opinions are my own.

Political intrigue jumps out of the page as Clove submits to marriage to save her people. She is the heir of the Cerulean Dragon clan and she finds herself betrothed to a cut-throat warrior. Prince Kyro is the heir to the Crimson Dragon clan. There are at least two problems. Dragons are powerful and neither will back down, and there those that want this marriage of conviene to fail. Who in this battle to save a people will win and who will lose? I liked the visual interpretation of the conflicts between Clove and Kyro expressed in their dragons - real or imaginary I couldn’t really decide. Thank you to Oni Press and NetGalley for the comic ARC. The views expressed are all mine freely given.

I am extremely interested in seeing where this story will develop, I could not put this down.
The sacred dragons and the unity to stop the war, I am very interested to see how Clove & Kyros relationship develops.
The graphics are incredible and I can see the forced proximity, marriage of convenience is going to be great!

The world building is interesting and there's no info dumping, you find out bits and pieces as you go along which I liked but it felt a bit lacking at times. The plot is very engaging and the characters are intriguing.
The plot and characters were engaging with a bit of a love triangle/square thing going on. I'm not a huge fan of the MMC, he's borderline abusive so far but I'm guessing he has some tortured story that we'll learn about. The FMC is likable and I really want to know more about her and why she can't shift.
I did think some parts felt pretty rushed to the point that what was happening didn't really make sense, there wasn't a great flow at times.
The art is absolutely stunning. It is so captivating and really conveys the emotions of the characters, the beauty of the setting and the intensity of the action.
I'm looking forward to the next one!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Sub Zero was so intriguing! The story hooked me from the start. Two clans coming together, enemies to possible lovers? Who knows yet. I’m so eager to find out what happens next I need the second volume!
The art work is beautiful and so detailed. The characters are stunning. Super easy to read and I couldn’t put it down.
If you love romance, fantasy and dragons, the is the manga for you✨

Clove is the last remaining heir of her Cerulean Dragon clan, fighting in a seemingly endless 300-year-war against the vast Crimson Empire. With no end to the war in sight, Clove agrees to leave her sheltered homeland in favor of a political marriage with the heir to the enemy Crimson Dragon clan, Prince Kyro.
Raised on the battlefields and feared by his rivals, the cutthroat prince is first to notice that Clove is hiding a dangerous secret she’s been working tirelessly to protect.
As tensions rise between these unlikely allies, the fragile peace brokered by their marriage is threatened by those who wish to continue the war. Now fighting in the world of her enemies and fighting a surprising attraction to Kyro, Clove discovers that achieving peace is far more dangerous than she could have ever imagined.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I do love dragons, but the plot kept me reading. I was interested to know what happened. The book had humorous scenes that I enjoyed. It overall was easy to follow and a fun fantasy plot. It does end on a cliffhanger so I am looking forward to reading the next volume.

Subzero is about the last remaining heir to the Cerulean Dragon clan, Princess Clove, who in the hopes of saving her people, agrees to marry the heir to the Crimson Dragon clan, Prince Kyro. The very Prince whose empire has been waging a war against her people for 300 years. Although I did enjoy reading this it felt very predictable. The tension between the two heirs didn’t last very long and neither did their animosity…. It felt like they both went from not trusting each other and only agreeing to the marriage for political reasons to then suddenly being allies amongst foe (aka Prince Kyro’s very own war leaders???) while also finding each other incredibly attractive like where is the build up? The slow burn??
Anyway while did enjoy reading this and I am interested in reading the upcoming volumes I rate this three stars!

I loved, loved, loved this. The art, the character, the politics of the world, the world-building, all of it was amazing. The art was stunning, and I loved how colorful it was. The cast of characters was unique, and I was invested in each other individual stories as well as the story that tied them all together. The fantasy aspect of this novel was so engaging and mixed with the politics of the different clans, which made a well-rounded fantasy world that kept me engaged the entire time. I love the connection between characters, and I can't wait to see what happens next; I was sitting on the edge of my seat the entire time reading this. And I still can't get over how good the art is.

Clove and Kyro are the heirs to the two clans founded by the azure and red dragons. The two clans have been warring for years, until it was decided for the two heirs to get married to stop the war. Neither Kyro nor Clove have feelings for each other—it seems they can barely stand being in the same place together. However, both of them want to protect their people so they are willing to go through the wedding. But some people don't want peace and will do everything they can to stop them.
I started this series on Webtoon, and I was so excited when I found out it was finally coming out in print as well. I love the story and how the relationship between Clove and Kyro develops. I can't wait for the second volume.
Thank you NetGalley and Oni Press for a digital ARC of this volume.
