This was so good! I loved the illustrations and the characters, AND the world building!! DRAGONS!! I will be very excited when the next volume comes out, because I NEED to know what happens next!

This is a great story about two dragons who have been fighting for generations. In order to stop the war the last blue dragon has to marry her enemy in order to save her people because she holds a secret that not even her people know about. The prince she is to marry isn't happy about the arrangement but seems to be slowly following the fierce women but also starts to wonder about her dragon and what is she hiding.

This is a very fun graphic novel that follows a very interesting storyline and really great characters. The development of the characters and the story is really good. It was so good I can't wait until the next volume!

This was so much fun!!! The art style was beautiful, the story had me interested, I’m not the biggest fan of the love triangle but i do love angst sooo….. there’s something brewing I can’t wait to read the next volumes!!

Right from the starting it's fast paced yet the plotline is described well and in details so the readers can get a glimpse of all the characters and also the background of the plot too. Well the cover certainly told a different story than the one in the pages. This is probably the most cliche, hackneyed, obnoxiously trope-filled comic I’ve read in a long time. It’s got all the romance mange influences, all the crappy Japanese fantasy tropes, and it’s painful to read. The art is pretty but stiff and not on par with even most manga let alone worth the full color. I can usually look past all of this for the sake of an epic fantasy like story but this was a kind of wake-up call that I’m not getting any younger and some stories are not worth reading, even if they do have dragons.

This one was pretty good. I enjoyed the art style and the use of colours. I was a little confused with the story but overall I did enjoy this one:)

I absolutely LOVED this book, and need volume two asap! Beautifully illustrated, powerful but also beautiful story, and dynamic characters! Two feuding dragon clans agree to unite in marriage in hopes of finally putting an end to the long standing war. The Princess of the Azure Dragons will marry the Prince of the Red Dragons. Raised as enemies it is no surprise that their first meeting after their arranged engagement doesn’t go well. But over time they have started to find some common ground just as secrets are starting to revealed and people in the red court start conspiring against their union. This story was so captivating and the author left you needing more as the book ends on a true cliffhanger!!

Absolutely love everything about this series. The art is beautiful and I love to see how the relationship between the FMC and MMC develops. I love anything involving dragons, and this checks all the boxes. Definitely recommend!

I love it, I wanted to read this webtoon for a long time but I never got around to it, and now they are going to release it physical, I saw that it was on Netgalley, so I decided to order it to read it, and I'm happy that I liked it a lot.
The art is beautiful and the story is very interesting, arranged marriage? Enemies? DRAGONS?! It's what I like to read the most, I can't wait to read the second volume so I'll probably continue the story on the Webtoon.

Beautiful illustration work but the story is so silly as to be ludicrous. The manga influences are obvious but greatly watered down to be pigeonholed into a hackney romance devoid of logic or any semblance of depth. I'm afraid that not even the pretty pictures could save this one.

Story [such as it is]): Clove is beautiful but stupid yet has no issue with up and marrying emo prince to save her people. Emo prince smirks a lot, poses like a true bred studmuffin, and says things to annoy Clove while smirking even more. Clove reacts in appropriately overwrought ways that is supposed to make her look spirited but instead just comes off as being insulting, clueless, and unpleasant. Fortunately, she's good looking!

So yes, this was painful to read. There wasn't a cliché not tread upon here, the magic system was a joke, everything was pigeonholed in a shallow story, and none of the characters evinced even a thimbleful of logic or grounding. Honestly, it became hard not to roll my eyes or cringe involuntarily at nearly every page. Not sure which was more derisive: the plot or the characterization.

Illustration work is lovely but about as shallow as the story. Very bright and colorful though. Reviewed from an advance reader copy provided by the publisher.

SubZero is a beautifully crafted fantasy graphic novel with mind-blowing artwork and the kind of story and fantasy or romantasy lover would be enthralled by.

In a war lasting over 300 years, the origins of which no one can remember, two countries with warring blue and red dragons in their ruling lines make for an alliance. With an arranged marriage between the two, neither is sure how the beast within will respond to the other, but one thing is certain: Clove will do anything she must to keep her people safe.

This is an excellent enemies-to-lovers fantasy with royal dragon shifters, political intrigue, gorgeous artwork, all surrounding a Romeo & Juliet style plot. Lovers of fantasy graphic novels and romantasy will want to sink their teeth into this series.

This is a lush, lavish, and beautifully drawn, </i>literal</i> enemies to lovers historical fantasy manga (with dragons) that really delivers with intriguing plot lines, despite the well traveled tropes employed.

The tale starts as an apparently straightforward arranged political marriage to end a war (300 years) that is devastating both sides/nations. The main characters are part of the ruling families of two clans, where the heirs have a hereditary ability to shift into a dragon, as signified by a “tattoo” that can change on their skin. <spoiler>The significance of most of these specifics remain to be completely revealed. </spoiler> The movement between past event and the present to illuminate the portions of the story is deftly done.

There are alternate/prior (or potential) love interests for both the prince and princess, but they seem to handle them without too much teen angst. As the story develops, the political intrigues and machinations [*A1] of the Crimson Court begin to be revealed. While Princess Clove is having to learn fast, and it obvious she is up to the task and she has the common touch - something invaluable in a leader, Prince Kyro is also grappling with everything as well and as they start to unite it appears they may be exactly what is needed for both nations. Prince Kyro’s sister is an underlying power player, and I look forward to seeing how her role and involvement develop.

This volume ends on a bit of a cliffhanger.. and I am truly looking forward to Volume #2 to see the wedding, and how everything plays out. If it is anything of the quality of Volume #1, it will be a real treat to enjoy. If we (as readers) are very lucky this will be several volumes.

The last few pages provide brief bios and other informational tidbits on the major characters. I loved this. It was fun and informative. I was also happy to see Zeyphr portrayed, with his butterflies! no spoilers - you’ll have to read this to find out about that!

I also want to mention the artwork concerning the dragon manifestations. They are stunning and dynamic. There are also sparingly used chibi inserts of different human characters early on in the volume.

Genre Note: Those who know my reviews know I am not usually a fan of the Romance genre. This is an exception as the developing love story in this is integral to the overall story and a natural inclusion to the whole, instead of being the raison d'etre with everything else as filler.

The artwork is simply breathtaking, with each panel bursting with vibrant colours and intricate details that bring the story to life in the most stunning way possible.But it's not just the visuals that shine in this comic; the story itself is equally fantastic.

I was so hooked that I couldn't wait to dive into the next instalment, and I immediately found myself scrolling through Webtoon to continue the journey. If you're a fan of beautifully illustrated comics with gripping stories, then "SubZero Vol. 1" is an absolute must-read.

I had not previously read this one, and I was seriously missing out. The art is gorgeous, the story is intriguing, and frankly, I can't wait to read more.

An enemies to lovers, arranged marriage story featuring DRAGONS! I've been reading this story on Webtoon since it was released and I was immediately drawn in to the bright, colorful art style. The details are gorgeous and the effects when the dragons use their powers is so dramatic.

SubZero follows the princess of the Azure clan, Clove, as she agrees to an alliance by marriage to the prince, soon to be king, of the crimson clan, Kyro. Kyro is broody and moody. He’s not happy about this arrangement but neither is Clove. He’s marrying for alliance and she’s marrying to protect her people at all costs. In this volume we are taken through the journey of their meeting and the first few days of their courtship.

This was a delight! The art is BEAUTIFUL. I enjoyed journeying through the first few days of their lives as an attempted united front. I like the subtle spice and hints of sexual tension between the characters. I will definitely be interested in seeing what happens next!

The gorgeous colorful cover drew me to this one and I'm glad it did! The artwork is beautiful and distinct; each scene is perfectly portrayed and the art is clean and clear, never distracting or messy. The story is a royal marriage of convenience, enemies to lovers fantasy with dragon spirits and some political intrigue going on. If any or all of this interests you then this is for you! Clove and Kyro have instant chemistry and both are hiding their own secrets, unwilling to allow themselves to be vulnerable around others. They give good girl x bad boy vibes and despite what their differences, they seem to want the same thing and their actions show that they are growing to care for one another even if they wish to deny it. Kharis, Kyro's sister, is such a fun character, seemingly orchestrating their relationship behind the scenes. Like her brother, she is able to shift into a dragon and has a fiery personality to go along with that. Clove's guards are also 2 of the major side characters and I look forward to seeing what happens with them moving forward, especially since they each feel strongly for the Princess. Volume 1 leaves off on a bit of a cliffhanger that will have you invested in the next installment to see what's going to happen. I will definitely be continuing this series!

as soon as i started the book and read the prologue i was hooked first off the art work is amazing! and the plot is sooo good it’s so intense but in a good way that makes you want more and more i finished in one sitting because it was so interesting i absolutely love the back and forth between kyro and clove and i can’t wait for what happens next
