I really info. I love how it was a found family romance. I love the forbidden aspect on the age gap. The main girl in the main guy was just perfect for each other in the way that she did roommates to lovers to friends to lovers and just everything it was one that I couldn't put it down. I also love how she resolved how the complex started with the guy being the girls sister's ex boyfriend. I found that the friend group was hilarious and well developed as well and I cannot wait for more.
It’s been a while since I read a book that I didn’t want to put down but I guess romance, tattoos, and “playful” text messaging just drew me in, I loved this book!
I enjoyed this book. I feel there was the right amount of spice. I liked the characters however at times did feel like there were quite a few.
I ate this up. Like expected Kennedy wrote another book that makes you forget you’re reading. I am 11 months postpartum with virtually no downtime and I finished this book in less then a day.
The mutual pining was delicious, the story was paced perfectly. I loved Livvy and Noah so much. Both characters were well rounded and felt like people you would meet in your day to day life.
The Smut like always was on point and I loved the dual POV.
My only gripe was that the conflict felt like a throwaway at the end but that really doesn’t takeaway from the overall experience.
Either way 5 stars, so excited for what’s next.
Really liked this book. It has a good amount of spice which I’m still getting use to reading. Loved the characters and hoping there are more books that follow the other couples as well
I didn’t expect to love this book as much as I did because Rae Kennedy is a brand new author for me, but I must have had a feeling about the story that made me request the arc. I was intrigued by the forbidden sister’s ex trope and the potential for a broody tattoo artist MMC. And I’m so glad because it was sooo good! I was obsessed with Livvy and Noah, their chemistry, the forbidden element, the slow burn, the spice, and all the emotions in between. Plus the extra layer of their secret history together, loved that! Their relationship also felt so genuine that it made me lose myself in the story completely. I loved the writing style, and dual pov. And one of my favorite things was how fleshed out the side characters were, they were fun and felt like real people too without it feeling like they were competing with the main couple for space on the page. I hope this is just the start of a great series because I absolutely need to know more about these characters and I can’t wait to read more from this author.
This is such an angsty with moments of fun. I really liked Noah. However, I got lost with the amount of characters.
Since Noah dated her sister in the past, Livvy has harbored a crush on him for a long time. She sees him again years later, still feeling the same way, having moved in with her sister after graduating from college and waiting for things to get better. These two are constantly being nudged together by fate. Even if they won't acknowledge it, others may sense their attraction. I thought it was great how their story unfolded and how everything kept coming back to them until they realized what was in front of them at last.
Thank you to NetGalley for this ARC.
I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. Thank you NetGalley.
Make Me Dream Of You is a sweet contemporary romance featuring Noah & Livvy as the main characters.
It's told through multiple POVs from Livvy & Noah & has a touch of .. secret romance I suppose.
Even though it was predictable from the start, the story was still engaging and entertaining.
I'd definitely check out others from the author.
Noah and Livvy haven't seen each other in years. Now Livvy's home from college and he doesn't remember who she is. Can she get over her long time crush on Noah and move on or will flirting with him all blow up in her face?
Absolutely love this book. Great slow burn that hits just right!
This was a good book! It captivated my emotions. I enjoyed each moment reading it. I would read it again
4.5 stars...
I really enjoyed this book. It grabbed my attention from the start and, though it was a bit predictable how it all was going to play out, it held my attention through to the end and I would love to see more with these characters. It is told in alternating POV from Livvy and Noah. A bit of a forbidden and secret romance, with some super sweet, swoon-worthy moments and lots of steamy scenes. I couldn't help but love Noah's character and feel for him and his troubled past. I loved Livvy's character as well, but some of her actions seemed out of character for her overall.
Thank you to NetGalley for my ARC.
This was a clever little romance. I have to say I enjoyed it quite a bit. The characters were easy to connect with and the story had a fun twist.
Livvy has had a crush on Noah for years - - ever since he used to date her sister. So, years later after she has graduated college and moved in with her sister until she figures things out, she sees him again and those same feelings are still there.
Noah can't believe that Livvy is his ex girlfriend's little sister all grown up. He is drawn to her but knows she's off limits. Yet there's something about her that keeps calling to him.
Fate takes a hand and these two keep getting nudged together. Their attraction is palpable and others can see it even when they don't want to admit it. I really enjoyed seeing how their story develops and events bring them together time and again until they finally see what's right in front of them.
Thank you to NetGalley for this ARC. I voluntarily chose to read and review it and the opinions contained within are my own.
I loved this so much! I loved the story and characters and was instantly sucked in. This book had me swooning, giggling, crying and my toes curling.
Noah is the owner of a tattoo parlour and Olivia’s sister Bex’s ex boyfriend. Livvy had a childhood crush on Noah and wasn’t expecting to bump into him at a bar years later. She’s still attracted to him and Noah begins chatting to her, not realising who she is. Olivia decides to keep her name from him, until her sister gives her away. He ends up giving her a job to help her out. My favourite scene was when Noah gave her a tattoo. I found myself rooting for them but also wanting to scream at the miscommunication! The miscommunication is what took a star off for me personally as I felt Livvy (on several occasions) was very quick to make assumptions instead of letting Noah explain himself and I understand it adds drama to the story but is something which personally frustrates me.
All of the characters were likeable and the story flowed well. I also really like the cover of the book. I would definitely read more by this author and would love to read the stories of the other couples mentioned in the book.
Rating 4/5 stars
This story was gripping page turning some laughter some grief the characters Will developed, kept me engaged from start to finish fast romance that I did enjoy
I absolutely adored this book! I loved the character development, the slow burn, and back and forth between the main characters! I would love more books in the series so we can see more of Livvy and Noah’s story! I definitely think Wood and Macy need their own love story, too!
I was so excited to get this arc from NetGalley. From the moment I started the book, I knew it'd be a fun ride. This is the first book I've read with the dating your sibling's ex trope. I wasn't quite sure how I'd feel, but Noah instantly warmed me up to the idea. His small gestures to win over Liv were absolutely precious. I also loved the bad boy persona. Give me a tatted tattoo artist love interest any day! Overall, this was a fun read and a 3.5/5 star for me. Thank you, NetGalley and Rae Kennedy for the arc.
Love, love, love, loved this one! He is her sister ex and was off limits for all of her teenage years! They both start talking on an anonymous app so they don’t want to reconnect in real life, all while not realizing they were already connecting! If you want super spicy, secret identity, forbidden romance, look no further!
A beautifully written book. Noah and Livvy both are lovable and relatable characters. Their chemistry is top of the charts, and there are so many swoon worthy moments. The chatting between both with secret identities is super entertaining. Storyline gets emotional with past revelations. I loved others as well, Wood, Macy, Bex. It's a lovely start to a series. Recommended.
Thanks a lot to Netgalley and the publisher for the eARC.
