Title: Make Me Dream of You by Rae Kennedy
Make Me, Book 1
Release Date: May, 16th, 2024
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Stars

"Make Me Dream of You" by Rae Kennedy is a captivating and heartwarming romance that follows the story of Livvy and Noah, whose connection is reignited years later. Livvy, fresh out of college and eager to explore dating, finds herself drawn to Noah, her sister's ex-boyfriend. Despite their mutual attraction, they both struggle with the complications of their past and present circumstances.

I adored the characters, Especially the main character, Noah as a complex individual dealing with personal trauma, and Livvy as the sunshine of the story, albeit a bit naive. The dynamic between the two leads is highlighted as adorable and their love story as cute.

The book's dual POV offers insight into both characters' thoughts and emotions, adding depth to their journey.

With its perfect blend of romance and spice, "Make Me Dream of You" kept me engaged from start to finish.

This read was captivating and I highly recommended for fans of contemporary romance.

Spicy! Livvy has had a crush on her older sister's ex since they dated in high school but never thought he'd pay her any attention. Noah is a broody tattoo artist who never lets anyone get close. Even though they try to fight it, neither can deny their attraction which leads to a secret relationship and many miscues. Lots of spicy scenes with an HEA.

This was the perfect amount of smut, romance and storyline . I fell in love with both the MC and FMC instantly and could happily have kept reading about their story.

This book hooked me from the beginning. These characters were adorable and their love story was so cute. Noah definitely gives the appearance of a bad boy but once you get to know him, that isn't really him. He is personally going through a lot of trauma which has put much of his life at a distance with others as to not get hurt. Then you have Livvy, who is cute but a bit naive. She is the sunshine of the story. She's also Bex's sister who happens to be Noah's ex from back in the day. I loved seeing how the two MCs relationship grew along with the twists and turns and inner thoughts. Wood, Noah's cousin, was absolutely amazing. He had me laughing so much. His character was everything. This book made me so giddy and I couldn't put it down because I needed to know how Noah and Livvy's story played out.

Amazing, steamy romance with a strong male and female lead. I loved it and need to go and read the authors back catalogue now!
The side characters in the book are primed ready for their own stories too!

Rae did such a good job with this book! I absolutely loved the flow of this book. I absolutely loved the main characters, Noah and Livvy. There were several scenes in this book that made me blush, laugh out loud, and “cry and throw up” (You’ll get it when you read it). The spice was *chefs kiss*. Rae also did a great job on reeling in with wanting to know more about the supporting characters such as Bex, Macy, and Wood. I’m so hoping there are sequels to come that follow their story. Definitely keeping Rae in my “Authors” to look out for and follow! 🤗

This story was captivating with just the perfect amount of spice.

Make me dream of you is written from both Noah's and Liv's perspective and tells the story of two peoples reconnection many years later.

Noah's super protective and sexy as hell, while Liv is on a journey of self-discovery to find her inner confidence. The forbidden romance between Noah and Liv is well captured, and the build-up, although at times a little predictable, is done well and a storyline I really enjoyed.

Hot guy with tattoos? Great spice? Check and check.

Noah is a dark & broody tattoo artist/shop owner who happens to run into his ex-girlfriend’s little sister, Livvy, who is now all grown up. Livvy recognizes Noah right away and can’t believe she’s crushing on him just as much as when she was 13. Noah doesn’t even recognize her right away but after learning who she is, his instant attraction intrigues him even more. They also may already know more about each other than they think….

I thought this was a fun, quick, spicy read! I thought Noah’s character was really sweet, very *ahem* attentive, and easy to fawn over. I also might have a thing for guys with tattoos so that didn’t hurt ;) While Livvy is young, I’m so happy she was written in a way that was not obnoxious. She’s empathetic, sweet, level-headed, and kind. While she is finding herself and is not as experienced, I like that she was taking control.

I enjoyed Noah’s cousin, Wood, and am hoping Rae will write another book featuring him and hopefully Macy *fingers crossed* Wood is so funny and sweet so I’d love to see more from him!

If there was one bone to pick it would be Noah calling Livvy “Angel” - it literally made me cringe BUT there’s a reason for it so I let it slide. haha

- miscommunication
- “good girl”
- insta-love
- “mine”
- protective
- sister’s ex-boyfriend
- open door spice

Thank you to NetGalley and Rae Kennedy for allowing me to read in exchange for an honest review!

Make Me Dream of You had a lot of things that I, personally, do not like. However, I did read the whole thing, so it wasn’t all bad.

Livvy has just graduated and has moved back home to crash with her sister while she looks for a job she can tell people about, and not here sexting side hustle. Waiting for an ‘interview’ to bartend at the place her sister works, she gets hit on by no other than Noah Dixon, her childhood crush and sister’s ex-boyfriend, only he doesn’t recognise her.

Noah doesn’t date. He’s not interested, but that doesn’t stop him from hitting on the first woman to catch his attention in years. But then he finds out she’s his ex’s little sister, meaning she’s off limits, it’s ok though, he’s got his Angel, a woman he’s been taking and sexting for the last eight months if only he could get her to meet him.

You know where this is heading.

Wanting to be more like Angel, her sexting alter ego, Livvy agrees to a live modelling session with Noah, which turns into a fiery disaster and ends up with her and her sister crashing at Noah and his cousin Wood’s place. With all that forced proximity and insta-lust swirling in the air, it was only inevitable that these two would be drawn together.

So, what didn’t I like? Insta-lust is a no from me, as is the whole sweet virgin girl getting corrupted by the tattooed bad boy, which both happen here. Don’t get me wrong, this is probably a lot of people’s cup of tea, just not mine. Also ‘good girl’ gives me the ick. But I did like Noah and Livvy’s relationship, and openness outside of their sexy times, and I loved Wood, he was wonderful and needs his own book, which means I’m most likely going to read it when it comes out.

I had every intention on going to bed early tonight, but once I got started, I couldn’t stop until the end!
When your childhood crush comes back into your life unexpectedly, what do you do? Especially when he’s your sister’s ex?
Told in the POV from Livvy and Noah and super easy to follow who is who!
I absolutely loved Wood’s character! He had me laughing out loud at times and definitely brought more fun into the spice of the book! Definitely can’t wait for more of these books!
I received this book from NetGalley and I couldn’t be more grateful!
