My Vampire Plus-One is a sweet and charming rom-com following Amelia, an accountant, who is tired of having to explain her lack of a boyfriend to her meddling family, and Reggie, an ancient vampire on the run from a vigilante group. When the two bump into each other on the street and then later at a cafe, Amelia comes up with the brilliant idea to bring Reggie as her fake boyfriend to an upcoming family wedding. This was such a fun and quirky read! The fake dating was so well done and I loved how it added to the slow burn of their romance. Reggie was such a chaotic and endearing character, the lengths he went to for Amelia were so sweet. The vampire was just completely smitten and I thought it was so cute how he wrote about her in his journal. The epistolary aspects were so humorous and I loved that we got to see multiple outside perspectives through them. This would make for a great fall read and I cannot wait for the next book in this lighthearted series!

My Vampire Plus One by Jenna Levine is a spooktacular fake dating romcom where an accountant needs to find a date for a wedding to get her family off her back & maybe accidentally falls for a vampire in the process. It is an easy escapism read that is funny, fast & provides bloody good vibes for fall.

This is book #2 in the My Vampires series. It could easily be read as a standalone but I really enjoyed book #1, My Roommate Is a Vampire, so I do recommend both!

My Vampire Plus One is great for fans of…
❤️ Paranormal Romcom
❤️ Vampires
❤️ Fake Dating

This book is charmingly funny & I think the author does it in a very clever way. The story is full of chaos & adventure but if you are just down for the roller coaster, it is quite the fun ride. I did appreciate the realistic way in which the heroine reacted to the idea of the existence of vampires. I was ecstatic to hear that Reginald got his own story.
It was a treat seeing the grumpy loner of a vampire thaw & fall for our lovely delight of a heroine.

There are quite a few cameos from the first book, which was a delight to have them in this story & get an update on them!

If you are looking for a fangtastic sweet & a little spicy vampire romcom with a dash of mysterious intrigue, then I recommend My Vampire Plus One!

Massive thanks to NetGalley & Berkley Publishing for the gifted copy, which I voluntarily read & reviewed.

I will also post this to social media & Amazon during release week & add links once I do.

This book had me giggling - I was in a bit of a slump and was looking for a cute and fun read to get me out of it and this did the trick. I really liked our MMC Reggie as a character because he was so quirky, and hilarious and just strange... that he felt like a genuinely unique character that I hadn't read about before, so I found that pretty refreshing! The whole premise of the plot is a little funny, but this isn't a book to be taken seriously and I had a good time just going along for the ride. Our FMC was nothing to write home about, but overall this book was just what I was looking for! This book should be out Sept. 17 and it's a fun quick read you can sink your teeth into (haha)!

Jenna Levine gives us a unique twist on vampires in this quirky sequel to My Roommate is a Vampire.

My Vampire Plus-One is a delightful story that begins with fake dating and takes readers on a wild ride of intrigue, secrets, and loads of fun!

Reggie is a prankster vampire with a wicked sense of humor. He’s absolutely perfect for straight-laced workaholic Amelia. Amelia is a logical accountant, but after a chance meeting with Reggie, she can’t get the handsome blond out of her mind. When the line between fake dating and passion is crossed… ooo fire!

The storyline is interesting, the characters are entertaining, and the romance is sizzling!

I’m looking forward to more books from Jenna’s fascinating storyworld.

Taxes and vampires…this was cute but unfortunately it just wasn’t for me. The story is fun and easy for Halloween season and if you like paranormal rom-coms you should still give it a try because other rom-com readers have enjoyed it. I just don’t think I’m the right audience for this one, it was too silly and predictable. I didn’t care for either character or their love story.

I went into this book a bit blind, since I didn't read the first book in the series. I probably would have enjoyed it a bit more if I had understood the humor of the vampires and how different their personalities are from normal vampires in rom-coms. I enjoyed the story overall, but Reginald was a bit annoying at some points. It was probably all the puns and his awful fashion sense that I could not wrap my head around. I liked Amelia, but the way she just believed that Reggie was joking about being a vampire made me think she wasn't all that smart. I also have to say that I really didn't find the secondary plot revolving around Reggie very interesting. It all kind of fell flat for me, unfortunately.

Amelia Collins is a successful CPA, late for dinner with her family when she runs into Reginald Cleeves on the streets of Chicago. (Yes, the adorable quirky character from My Roommate is a Vampire has his own book now.) Since he's still on her mind when she finally makes it to dinner, she tells her family she has a date for her cousin's wedding and all the subsequent events that lead up to it. Luckily, she runs into Reginald (Reggie) again and he agrees to help Amelia with her scheme of fake-dating.
This was funny and spicy and set in both Reggie and Amelia's POVs.

*Special thanks to NetGalley and Berkley for this e-arc.*

I absolutely adored My Roommate Is A Vampire so I knew I had to read this one... and I was not disappointed!

4 stars | 1/5 spice

I really enjoyed Amelia and Reggies fake dating that turned to something real. The vampires in these books are always so quirky and entertaining that you won't want to set this one down! This is definitely a slow burn just like the last one by Levine.

Reggie was so eccentric and I loved it! He wasn't quite as funny as Fredrick was (he had me cackling at his antics). But I loved the vulnerability he shared with Amelia and how he quickly fell for her. I also loved how they balanced each other out and gave each other exactly what they needed.

The spice was ok? I would have loved for more spice - but that's just me. The tension between them could definitely be felt through the pages as you are reading.

Overall, a 4-star read for me. This will make the PERFECT fall read with a little bit of paranormal elements plus a cozy love story. If you were a fan of My Roommate is a Vampire then you will also adore this one! The epilogue was perfect and I loved the updates we got to see with Cassie and Fredrick. I am secretly hoping for an update of some sort on Reggie and Amelia with the next book if there is one.

For those who have My Roommate is a Vampire, I think we can all agree that we were waiting for Reginald’s book. He is the side character whose book I was just dying to read and Jenna Levine made sure to deliver with this one. We’re first introduced to Amelia Collins, an accountant who is in the midst of tax season and frankly having a stressful time with a big client.

Things get even worse for her when she gets run into by a guy who Amelia immediately thinks is odd. Of course, it’s Reginald but she doesn’t have much time to think before going to family dinner. To try to get her family off her back, she says that she has a boyfriend and can’t seem to get Reginald off her mind.

The next day, she ends up seeing Reginald again, resulting in the two talking and her asking him to be her “plus-one” at her cousin’s wedding. From there, we’re watching the romance between these two blossom and it’s just so fun because these two embody the opposites-attract trope in the best way.

Jenna Levine did an absolutely amazing job, making the romance swoony while also giving us plenty of hilarious moments. I couldn’t wait to see what kind of outfits Reginald would wear or what he would say to Amelia’s father. There was also some tension and drama as Amelia and Reginald have a pretty bit of misunderstanding and watching how it all unfolds is just so delightful.

The other thing I loved was how things were a bit open-ended at the end of the book, meaning that we might get another book in the series. While it’s unclear if Jenna Levine has plans to give that character a book, I am dying for it.

This was a good time but much like the first one I feel like missed the mark for me?? So I’m moving on. Which is not to say it’s not written well, cause it is I just don’t think I love this authors writing style?

I love fake dating! But I didn’t feel any tension?? Any connection between the two of them?

Thanks to Berkley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I really enjoyed this! I loved the first book and was very excited about this release. It's a perfect blend of funny, charming and steamy. I really enjoyed the fake dating trope and who doesn't love a vampire?? 10/10 will be staff picking it when it comes out in Oct!

I think I've found my new favorite subgenre of paranormal romance: the paranormal ROMCOM. Please don't make me read a deep exploration of the inevitability of mortality with mopey vampires who feel all conflicted about turning their human mates. I'd much rather read about a bullet journaling himbo vampire who thinks accountants are sexy. This book was soooo funny! I laughed out loud at Reggie's bullet journal Discord shenanigans, his radical honesty about his vampiric abilities, and the fact that he was just absolutely gone for Amelia from he moment he runs into her in the street. (I was also into the subtle "fated mates" aspect when it turns out in an UTTER COINCIDENCE that Amelia's brother is best friends with Reggie's vampire BFF's fiancee. It's funny in the story and it's funny when you think about it later.)

I also love the way Jenna Levine treats these "all-powerful" immortal vampire plots. There's no staking or exploding in the sunlight, there are no vampire hunters or really any vampire fights at all, just some well-executed application of the tax code. This was really funny and fun, y'all.

This objective review is based on a complimentary copy of the novel.

I don’t care how unrealistic, silly, or predictable a vampire love story is - I will eat it up every time. I think I liked this book even more than the first one. Which is something I can never say! When I wasn’t reading it, I was thinking about reading it. It was very much a slow burn, but definitely worth the wait.

I loved Reginald!! He was so quirky, charming, and funny.
This book had me smiling and laughing out loud throughout. I also loved how the author incorporated journal entries & text messages because for me, that always adds another layer of excitement to the story. My only complaint is that the ending felt a little abrupt. There was this whole build up to the cousin’s wedding only for it to be included in a very small portion at the very end of the book. I was really hoping we would have gotten more of Reginald & Amelia as they dove deeper into their relationship because I loved them as a couple.

Overall, this was such an easy, funny, and light hearted read with unique characters that I didn’t want to end. Can’t wait to see what this author has in store for the future.

Thank you to NetGalley & Berkley Publishing for my eARC copy of this book!

I liked this. Sexy fun, easy to read in one day. A good vampire love story to ease in to spooky season.

If Jenna Levine writes a paranormal rom-com, I will read it!! Her fun twists on contemporary romance but with vampires just make me so happy every time, and I can’t get enough of this perfectly crafted blend of wit, humor, and endearing cinnamon roll characters.

Amelia has been struggling lately when it comes to managing her family and work-life balance. When her family asks her again about her dating life, she decides to make up a mysterious boyfriend to bring to her cousin’s upcoming wedding. And after a chance encounter with a handsome and quirky stranger, she asks him to be her fake date. But what happens when his sweet demeanor and loyal nature turn this faux relationship into something more real?

I was so happy to read Reggie’s story! He made me chuckle so much in the first book, and I loved seeing him go about his life, take up journaling, and fall in love. *swoon* These stories are just the perfect romances to make you smile no matter what.

One can never go wrong when picking up a Jenna Levine romance book, so I knew I was in for a great read - but even I was blown away by how good this was! Unputdownable and lovely are the two words I would use to describe this!. Fantastic and utterly addictive would also suffice :) Either way, you are in for a treat! The perfect read for fall!

I am a huge fan of Jenna Levine's spicy vampire romance "My Roommate is a Vampire," so when I saw this title I just had to pick it up and read it! "My Vampire Plus=One" is a fun and spicy fake dating trope that made me laugh out loud. I'm a huge fan of romantic comedies and this one was truly a mix of some of the best tropes in the romance genre. Will highly recommend to my fellow romance reading patrons!

Oh my goodness, did I love this book more than I loved My Roommate is a Vampire? I might have. I was just giggling the entire time I read it. Reggie stole his scenes in MRIAV, and having a whole book of him was just too much fun. He and Amelia were so sweet together and absolutely charming! Plus saving the day with accounting? I loved it!

This book is somehow everything I wanted and nothing like I expected. It's fun, tongue-in-cheek book with a great sense of humor and lightness that is not always a given in vampire books. I loved both characters, and despite the large helping of miscommunication which is my least favorite trope, it completely worked for this book and was realistic even adding an extra layer of humor. I loved the addition of the chat and discord messages that were added.
Overall this is a book that doesn't take itself seriously which in turn delivers the perfect escape into a campy over the top book with no apologies for being campy and over the top.
