An absolutely fun, frothy paranormal romance. Is this idiots to lovers? Because I found out hilarious that Amelia had absolutely no idea that Reggie was a vampire despite him telling her. I loved the different tropes that were employed - only one bed, snowed in, fake dating, the works. This helped reignite my joy of reading!

My Vampire Plus-One brings Reginald Cleaves back into the dating scene after he meets Amelie accidentally on the streets. It’s not convenient when Reginald is trying his best to escape from old foes who are trying to locate him again. But he always keeps an eye out whenever he sees an attractive accountant. He can spot them a mile away.
Amelie finds it a bit strange when she meets Reginald out of nowhere on the streets. It’s a bit convenient when she needs his help in a family situation. Amelie family is a bit obsessed with her dating life; aka, she has no dating life. She is more focused on her work. She loves working with numbers, so it makes sense for her to be an accountant. Yet, she still needs to find a fake date so her family stops bothering her nonstop. That’s where Reginald comes into mind.
What I liked about this book was how fast-paced it started. It never started off slowly. It was right off the bat, with them meeting each other again and again. It builds up their fake relationship together, even though they are different from each other. She is human, and he is a vampire. And it’s a bit funny that he told her off the bat when they started fake dating that he was a vampire, which she never believed. That scene still makes me laugh so much.
I love how lighthearted My Vampire Plus-One was. It felt like an easy paranormal romance read. There is nothing too serious or too emotional to worry about when you read romance books. It’s just an easy rom-com read, which I love to do every now and then.
If you love reading about a cheesy paranormal romance book with fake dating and forced proximity tropes, then you will enjoy reading this one.
Thank you Berkley romance for the gifted eARC!

My vampire plus one, is captivating romance with a compelling storyline and well-developed characters. Moreover, Levine’s storytelling is engaging, and the romance is both sweet and spicy. A perfect blend of love and drama.

This was a great read!
I loved Reginald in My Roommate is a Vampire so I was super excited to read this book with him as one of the MCs!
It did not disappoint! It had everything I enjoy reading in a book. Reginald and Amelia were amazing characters. They had an amazing vibe and they had an electric chemistry between them. I really enjoyed following their journey throughout the story. I was hooked the entire time!
This is definitely a must-read book!
Thank you NetGalley and Berkely Publishing for a copy of this book!

I liked it. It wasn't as good as My Roommate is A Vampire, but it was entertaining and I did like the plot and all its characters. The slow burn was done really well and their sexual chemistry was off the hook, and the comedic lines were great. This is proof that Vampire rom-coms are all the rage rn. I would recommend it.

2.5/5 - Thank you Berkley Publishing Group and NetGalley for the ebook ARC!
First thing - can we have a moment of silence for this cover art please? Immaculate. Though I don't recall Reggie being able to change into the form of the shadow creature, the art and colors are *chefs kiss*
Amelia, the main character, is an accountant, and in the book she actually does accountant things. I always appreciate when a character has an occupation and the author makes themselves semi-knowledgeable about that occupation to make sure they know how to convey it sensibly in their stories.
Reggie is a sweetheart and girls guy. He gets the job DONE as the fake boyfriend. Whacky? Sure. But in a rather endearing way.
I would call this one a cozy, vanilla read. The good thing is that it is very low pressure, low intensity. That did hurt it for me a bit though, as I personally prefer books that are stimulating/engaging in the sense that they provide some kind of suspense either for the couple or their safety. Though "The Collective" existed for that purpose, it did not fulfill it for me as the antagonist. I never got the sense that there was any real threat, the relationship was working for the characters (no drama), and there was no true familial friction.
The plot itself is basic and everything that happens in the story exists with the sole purpose of supporting said plot. There was no fluff, including the necessary fluff for character building/world development, which caused a lack of chemistry between the characters and some confusion for me about the world. For example (light spoiler), near the end, a older (emphasis on the fact that he has allegedly existed for a bit and still says things like this) vampire slips up and implies his non-profit has existed for centuries, and then tries to correct himself by saying that it has existed for "whatever length of time you would not find alarming." Little things like this were super jarring for me personally as they would rip me out of the story with its infeasibility. This may be a fantasy, but as so much of the world is grounded in real life, it needs to be somewhat feasible.
This is the only book I have read from Jenna Levine, but I did intend to read the first book in this series. The couple, as conveyed in this book, seemed super cute!

I have been struggling to stick with a book lately but when I tell you I ATE this book up? I. Love. Fake. Dating. And I absolutely love Reggie and Amelia.
This book has a little of everything for everyone. It's got Vampires. It's got funny characters. It's got a really amusing plot. And there's only one bed???? Ugh I loved this book. It was fun. It was funny. And I really like the way vampires were depicted in this book. Out with the evil bloodsuckers, in with the vampires unsure how to work technology and the vampires dressing waaaay out of fashion. We love to see it.
I was about to slide into a really rough slump with my reading and this dragged me right out. I can't wait to read her next work and I can't wait to snag a finished copy. Thank you to netgalley and the publishers for a ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Any book featuring Reginald as a main character was going to be deeply goofy and this one did the trick. Amelia is a good counterpart for him, because she's also a little odd. If you liked the first one, you'll dig this one. (My only complaint was that there was hardly any Cassie - feels like Cassie and Amelia could have had some good conversations.)

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC of this book. I thought that the mmc was pretty funny and I liked the characterization of him. The only thing for me was that the ending was so anticlimactic for me. I wished that there was more drama in her finding out about him being a vampire and in dealing with the vampire council. It started off as fake dating, which I was excited for, but it ended up just being about dealing with his issues with the vampire council??.. I'm also unsure about how he's able to have a hard-on without having blood circulate in him...

This was a light, fun read. I've not read the author's other book, but I'm glad I picked this one up. I enjoy the fake dating trope, throw in weddings and vampires and I was bound to be hooked.
There were some cringy moments in here (that Edward painting will haunt me) but I enjoyed it nonetheless. Definitely pick this up if you're looking for a cute and easy rom-com.
Rated 3.5 stars rounded up to 4 stars. Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for ebook ARC.

You're gonna have a vampire who can FLY and not have a scene where he takes the FMC flying?! SMH, missed opportunity.
I was interested to see how Reggie could become a love interest I could be into, and this book succeeded in making him that... except for his clothing choices. Tell me why this man was wearing a gingham skirt with a t-shirt with some not-funny text on it that didn't match, growling about "touch her and I'll rip your arms off" and Amelia is swooning because he's all masculine and territorial? WHAT. Listen, I'm all for subverting gender roles and whatnot, but please at least match?! I couldn't take him seriously when his outfits (which he put together himself) were described. The man's been alive for how long and he doesn't know how to put outfits together? GET REAL, AMELIA. But he was charming, if still a total disaster, so he gets points for that.
Also, if you're gonna write a vampire book, maybe have your vampire be more vampire-y? Frederick and Reginald are almost Puritanical in this regard. It's okay to be monstrous when you are *literally* a monster! But again, making your vampires not-very-vampirous is another way this author is subverting tropes: Reggie is funny and bright instead of dark and broody. It works, so I can almost forgive him his egregious fashion sense.
Thank you NetGalley and Berkley for the opportunity to review.

This book was such a great romance read! As a long-time fan of the author, I was delighted with this story. A must-read for romance enthusiasts!

This book was amazing and I devoured this book in just a few sittings! I loved the character development and how the story progressed.

This was a cute read but I definitely did not like it as much as the first book. The plot seemed different but also very similar to the original. I had hoped to have more banter in this one and written romantic exchanges in this book. I wanted to hear more about what happened to Cassie and how she was feeling after being turned. I want to know what happens long term between Reggie and Amelia. Overall, it was a light, cute read, but I had definitely expected and wanted more from this book. I’m really hoping there is another that ties everything together.
A big thanks to the author and the publisher for allowing me to read this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

I had fun reading this story. I loved the first Novel and now the second one is enjoyable. Super fun, easy to read and engaging. I had a blast with the characters. They are enjoyable.

To say I was excited for “My Vampire Plus-One” is an understatement. Let me back up a bit last year I read “My Roommate is a Vampire!” And fell in love with it. It was on my top 10 of 2023. When I found out Reginald was getting his own book I was so excited and knew I would devour it. Thank you to Berkley for blessing me with an ARC. Best early Christmas present ever. Also because of this My coworkers probably thought I was crazy cause I legit squealed when I got the email.
Anyway back to the review “My Vampire Plus-One” is Reginald and Amelia story. They arrange a fake-dating agreement for mutually beneficial reasons. What neither character expects is to actually fall for one another. Reginald and Amelia’s immediate chemistry and understanding of each other is so freaking adorable. I was cheering for them the whole time.
I think the only part I struggled with was getting to know Amelia as a character. She’s vastly different from me and it took a little bit for her to come out of her shell. But once she did I could not stop saying her praises. And of course Reginald can do no wrong in my mind. He was my favorite side character in book 1 and having him as the lead in book 2 met all my expectations.
Also side note Even though this is Reginald and Amelia’s story we do get to see our favorite characters from book one making an appearance. I loved how Jenna intertwined them into the story and gave us an update on their lives.
I completely recommend this book to anyone looking for a fun and unique read.
Thank you Berkley Romance for the advanced copy.

I knew from the end of My Roommate is a Vampire that whatever chaos could come next would be thoroughly entertaining! This romance was so wholesome and such a radiant example of opposites attract! Thank you to Jenna Levine & Berkley Pub for this arc!

My Vampire Plus-One is my first time reading a book written by Jenna Levine. It was so much fun and is a cozy romantasy with quirky characters that go around being quirky. My Vampire Plus-One might not be for you if you require a deep plot. However, try this book for a fun read full of fluff and romance. I give My Vampire Plus One a solid 3.5/5.
Thank you to NetGalley and Berkley Publishing for the opportunity to review My Vampire Plus-One. All opinions are my own.

I love quirky characters. I love awkward situations. I LOVE FAKE DATING OMFG. This book had it all for me.
Reggie is this super over the top, crazy character that I just adore. Amelia is an accountant, enough said. 🤣 I love that Jenna Levine through these two together, SO MUCH. I honestly should've known what to expect after reading My Vampire Roommate, and how quirky the Vampire was in that one as well.
I want to say, I feel as though weirdly if there were vampires, they'd be like Jenna Levine's vampires. Super old guys and gals that just have no idea what's going on half the time and are super over the top quirky. What're tax laws? What current style to fit in? Let's just wear a wild partially fur coat 🤣🤣
Grab this book, and if you haven't yet, grab her first book as well. This book revisits the characters in her original and will spoil some things if you want to read the first one.
Thank you so much netgalley and the author for a copy of this book to review!! I'm in love and cannot wait to get a physical copy.

I enjoyed this book even better than the 1st. Reggie was hilarious; more than once I found myself chuckling. I love how in love Reggie was with Amelia and the pair of them were really well matched. Their scenes were smoking hot! I did find the beginning dragged a little bit but then once it got going about 1⁄4 of the way through I was really hooked. The only thing I would change is having more chapters by Reggie so that we really got what he was feeling for Amelia sooner. Reggie was just such a fun character, I loved him so much. And I loved being able to see Frederick and Cassie again.
