Thank you William Morrow, for the copy of No One Will Know by Rose Carlyle. I was immediately drawn into this story, and even when it took a bit of a turn it still kept me engaged. I loved the story, and I liked how the different timelines revealed just enough at the right time. (When you read the book you’ll understand what I mean.) I also appreciated the numerous reveals. While the book stretched plausibility, it was a fun read. 3.5 stars rounded up to 4
This was my first from this author and I immediately dove right into her debut novel. I loved the writing style, the character development and the super unique plot. I love a good travel trope and rich people behaving badly. I also did not expect the twists and thought they were well done.
No One Will Know will be a book you won’t forget with a twist you can’t see coming. I couldn’t put this down from the second I picked it up.
Thank you to William Morrow and Net Galley for a digital arc of this book.
An entertaining, propulsive read. Pregnant and alone, twentysomething Eve takes up the golden opportunity to nanny for a wealthy couple, the Hygates. But she soon discovers not all is as it seems and that, in choosing to be under their employ, she has made the ultimate bargain.

I recently listened to Rose Carlyle's last book, The Girl in the Mirror, and really enjoyed all the twists, so I was very excited to receive an early copy of her new one.
Eve doesn't know what she is getting in to when she goes to a remote island to meet Julia and Christopher. Nothing is at it seems in the paradise setting, but Eve becomes more entrenched.
I didn't want to set this one down once I started -- I had to find out what was going to happen next.
I enjoyed the twists -- there were times when I felt confused what was going on but it was all explained and came together well -- and I liked the very end a lot.
I am excited to read what Rose Carlyle writes next!
Thank you to NetGalley for the advanced copy of this book!
This was quite over the top, but still enjoyable. Eve finds herself in a horrible position after the death of her boyfriend. All the plans they made together disappeared and his family wants nothing to do with her. Finding out she’s pregnant adds even more complex feelings. In her vulnerable state she is asked to be a nanny for a wealthy family. She thinks this may be the best option, but nothing about the agreement seems to fully make sense. Eve finds herself in another undesirable position but thinks it’s all worth it to raise her child on a peaceful island.
While many things just don’t make sense throughout the book, it all comes together at the end. The majority of the book is told through Eve’s perspective. Later on a couple more perspectives are added to pull the story together. This is a good read as long as you can go with the flow and enjoy it purely on a storytelling stance.

This book was crazy and twisty. Absolutely nothing was how I thought it would be or what we were lead to believe. 🤯 I couldn’t get over how trusting and naive Eve was. I could say more, but I don’t want to ruin the book for anyone. It took me a little bit to get into the story and I’m glad I stuck it out. I really liked it and had a hard time putting it down.
A huge thank you to William Morrow and NetGalley for the advanced copy. All opinions expressed above are my own.
No One Will Know is an addictive thriller that’ll keep you guessing throughout. Its fast-paced structure is very engaging. I enjoyed the alternating timelines that slowly unveiled nuggets of information, like puzzle pieces to put together, keeping my brain spinning throughout. The atmospheric writing made me feel like I was there, living the action and suspense! It’s definitely a gripping page-turner that any thriller lover will find captivating!

I'm not quite sure what I just read. I really enjoyed The Girl in the Mirror, so I had high hopes for this one. While this was fast-paced and twisty, it did not live up to the author's prior novel. We start off with an introduction to Eve and Xander and the reader is left guessing how their relationship ties to the premise described on the back cover of the book. Then we take a quick left turn and the twists begin. Eve is a typical naive young down on your luck woman looking to make a better life for herself. She hooks up with Christopher and Julia and her world is turned upside down. For most of the book you need to suspend judgment and go with the story. And while I quickly turned the pages, the story left me wanting more. Was it realistic? Not at all. The author clearly had a lot of different ideas and wanted to put them all into this book. However, if you are looking for a popcorn thriller that you can read in day, then this book is for you.
Thank you to William Morrow for the opportunity to read and review.
2.5 rounded up. Honestly this book had potential. At first I found the main character over the top but funny. As the book continued, I found her more and more irritating to the point where I didn’t want to read more.
In addition, the side characters needed to be fleshed out and developed more for the book to work. I found the friend group endearing but struggled to keep them all straight. The romance felt far fetched and more annoying than anything.
I think the author has potential and I’d try her next one but I wouldn’t recommend this one to anyone.
Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the arc.
This was such an amazing read. I LOVED it from page one and was so addicted to this book. I could not put the book down and when i wasn’t reading I was thinking about the story. The plot was so creative and so different than most thrillers these days and it was amazing! This is definitely one of my top books this year! Thank you for the opportunity to read an early copy
This book was a page turner from beginning to end. A girl in a newish relationship loses her boyfriend on the way to a dinner to meet his family. They just found out they were pregnant. His parents do not know who she is or how serious their relationship was. Then unexpected job opportunity as a nanny for a super rich and secretive couple where she will live on a remote island. There are unsuspecting occurrences with twists and turns that will keep you guessing until the end. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
My first novel by Rose Carlyle but definitely not my last. Filled with fabulous characters that kept me flipping pages long into the night. Some were so easy to love, some I loved to hate. So many secrets and lies , packed with tension. This one pulled at my heartstrings and trampled my emotions. Great read with a fantastic twist.

Thoughts - Thank you Netgalley and William Morrow for this advanced reader copy in exchange for my honest opinion. The storyline follows Julia and Chris, a couple who are hiring for a nanny for their child on a remote island in Australia. Along comes Eve who has no experience, but the couple really wants to have her start immediately. When I started, so much happened in the first few pages that I was HOOKED. The writing is fast paced and extremely twisted. The twist that tied it together wasn't amazing, but definitely was enjoyable.
Thank you, NetGalley for the opportunity to read this book. I wouldn’t classify this book as a thriller but, more as an adult mystery fiction. The characters were INSANE and the plot was even more insane. I didn’t really like any of the characters. The book switched between past and present a lot which was hard to keep track of at times.
I kept reading because I had to know what happened and I didn’t expect the twist.
In conclusion, this was an interesting book with crazy characters. It wasn’t the best book I’ve read but, it wasn’t the worst.
Outlandish, over-the-top, a crazy timeline, and a heroine that you'll seriously doubt (how many red flags can you possible miss, Eve??), but overall I enjoyed No One Will Know. It was really quick read (I was surprised to see I was already 60% of the way through and hadn't been reading for long) and had some heavy issues going on (namely adoption and human/animal trafficking). If I had one complaint, I would say that things progressed *too* quickly. Years skip in Eve's life as the chapters go on, and there's a sudden change to Julia's POV, which doesn't really allow for a deep look into very real issues going on in the world today. And though the ending is satisfying, it feels almost too easy, if that makes sense.
Thank you to the publisher for the copy of this book to read through Scene of the Crime and NetGalley.
I absolutely loved The Girl In The Mirror and when I saw this pop up, I just had to read it!
A woman is left alone, pregnant and with nothing. She runs into an opportunity to become a nanny for a wealthy couple. The couple are very unlikable characters. I can’t really go into too much detail or it will spoil the fun.
The first half starts off slow then definitely picks up in the second. Thank you to Rose Carlyle, William Morrow and NetGalley for the opportunity.

I liked Rose Carlyle's debut novel, The Girl in the Mirror, but this second book, No One Will Know, is even better. The prose is smoother, the action more intense, and the twists believable.
Eve Sylvester has found the man of her dreams, but when he is killed in a car crash, she finds herself penniless, homeless, and pregnant. Enter the mysterious Zelde Finch with an offer that will solve her problems: become the nanny for the wealthy Hygate family and raise her child with theirs. It appears idyllic: living in luxury on a remote island in Tasmania and giving her child advantages Eve could never afford. Eve accepts the Hygate's unusual offer, but it's not long before she has second thoughts based on unusual conditions tied to her employment. Why must no one know she is there until her child is born? What's happening with the mysterious yacht that sometimes comes in the night? These and many more questions give her pause.
The moral dilemma that Eve faces drives the plot: to what extent is she willing to go for the welfare of her child? This twisty, suspenseful story is entertaining and kept me guessing. The characters are interesting, and I rooted for Eve to overcome life's obstacles. 4/5 stars.

I seem to be in the minority here, but I found the plot of this mystery a bit too outlandish. The main character constantly makes choices that make you want to bang your head against a wall. The plot twists are so far-fetched that it's nearly impossible to suspend disbelief. Also, there are so many plotlines that are set up and go absolutely nowhere, making me wonder why they were even added in the first place. On a positive note, the pacing did keep me turning pages, and before I knew it, the book was over. It kept me entertained for an entire flight, even if I was holding back groaning in public for most of it. It's a good read if you're looking for nonstop twists and over the top plots.
Highly entertaining and addictive read! Eve Sylvester is a loner and a survivor. When she finds herself dazzled by the wealth of the couple who want to hire her as nanny to their son, she has no idea what sinister plan she is getting into! It’s really hard to write about this book without spoiling it. I have to admit that the beginning of the book threw me off balance and I actually double checked that I was reading the book I had downloaded, lol! But stay with it because it IS the right book and it will twist and turn until the very end. I really enjoyed the remote Tasmanian island setting of this book and the twists caught me completely off guard, so much fun! Thank you Netgalley, William Morrow, and the author for this eARC in exchange for my honest review. This book will be available for purchase on October 1, 2024
