This one just wasn't for me. When I first saw this book on Netgalley and read the summary I was super excited to read it. Sadly it just wasn't as good as I thought it was going to be. The plot failed to keep me invested enough in the characters.

i always thought it would be super cool to be a hacker like penelope garcia (criminal minds). some brilliant genius hacker that gets caught but ends up being recruited by the fbi vs going to prison. alas, it is a wonder i can write book reviews on a blog – so my dreams of being an fbi computer nerd will have to stay just that.

hence my absolute love and 1 night devouring of olivia twisted – an action filled story with a hacker plotline. i was totally hooked. i love books where i get to do awesome things through well written characters.

vivi barnes has crafted a modern take on dickens’ oliver twist and it is definitely worth picking up. i loved the characters and their stories. z is the bad boy i think every girl has crushed on at one time or another and olivia is the lost soul you want a happy ending for. the relationships olivia develops in this book are very honest and believable. they aren’t syrup-y or pretentious the way teenage relationships can be portrayed in ya novels sometimes.

i look forward putting a copy of this book on my shelf and give it 5/5 stars.

**if you plan to read book 2, olivia decoded, i highly recommend not reading the epilogue in olivia twisted!**
