David and Kitty seemed to be having a happy married life--or so it seems until Kitty finds David in the arms of another woman, who happens to be his colleague, Nina. Kitty then start drinking and stalking Nina. Then one night, Nina was found murdered in her apartment. David was the last person to see Nina...or is it Kitty?
I like that the POVs are set in David and Kitty's characters. They are both unreliable characters and as a reader you don't know who to actually trust. However, even though the first part of the story was interesting, intriguing and a page turner, the second part of the story, to me, was a little confusing with the addition of another main character, Catherine. I felt that twist was a complete turn over from the actual story line. It also started to get little boring, confusing and above all, I thought it kind of ruined the whole plot line. The ending to me was a little unsatisfactory to me.
This could have been a good domestic thriller but the ending was unsatisfying. Worth 3 stars.
Many thanks to Netgalley and Bookouture for the ARC. The review is based on my honest opinion only.

Im giving this book 2.5⭐ because maybe it just me idk it was really hard for me in some way to read this book just when i got to the end it was a little better and i didn't really like the characters they were annoying in some way in my opinion maybe i will try this book in the future but the what i think for know on this book

Secrets, lies, deceit..... obsession?
Oh, my!
Im sure as a thriller lover, you have read the back of books similar to this one, you think you've heard this story and you contemplate on whether or not you really need to read another domestic thriller about a hellbent wife and a deceiving husband..
You, do.
Im so happy I went with my gut and hit request.
The Other Woman, is like nothing I have ever read before and Holly Down had me in the palm of her hand, drooling over the deceit and exposed secrets, each page held.
The twist?
You won't find a spoiler here but I promise your jaw will remain on the floor long after concluding.
Check out this teaser:
There are three of us in this marriage. One of us has to go…
My husband, David, is everything I always dreamed of – with his warm brown eyes and sparkling smile. He makes me feel like the most beautiful woman in the world. After so many years, I still look at him with eyes full of love.
I thought he felt the same. Until today. Because now I see that same look of love in his gaze: eyes crinkling, lips curved up. But he’s not looking at me. He’s looking at another woman…
My drink sticks in my throat as I watch David with his colleague Nina across the crowded bar. My heart is pounding. I can’t lose David. I can’t. We’re the perfect couple – being one half of Kitty and David is all I’m good at.
I know I shouldn’t, but I follow them when they leave together. I have to know what’s going on…
But then I wake up the next morning with no memory of the night before… And Nina has been found dead.
All eyes are on us. Our perfect marriage. Our perfect lives. But none of it was ever really perfect, was it? And now Nina has paid the price for our secrets, who else will be in danger when our life built on lies comes tumbling down?

This book takes what you think you know to a whole new level because it will toss you, turn you, and mix you all up.
At least it did me. I had to stop, reread and reevaluate what I’d just read several times to discern the plot.
Infidelity, betrayal, lies, and major major delusions by the main character.
I wasn’t sure what happened with David at the end, even after reading it a few times.
No matter because the villains got what they had coming.
Sometimes it’s good to be bad.

A lovely quick read would be fantastic for a holiday. Full of suspense and twists and turns . Bit of a slow start but really picked up pace .

I really, really liked this book! Slow burn and fast paced? This was both! Even though I did get a bit confused understanding the characters at some point, but overall it was an easy read. I won't be giving any spoilers but I really like how that "one character" shaped up! I would definitely recommend this one if you are a fan of thrillers, especially domestic thrillers!

Kitty and David appeared to be the perfect couple, but Kitty had concerns regarding David's monogamy especially around his TV research assistant, Nina. When Nina is found murdered one night when both David and Kitty were present but neither can remember what happened, the start of trying to work out what happened and who killed Nina begins.
This story was interesting to read from multiple points of view, however it was tricky at times to keep up with which character was saying/thinking certain thoughts as everyone was heading down a different path. The middle of the book was a little stagnant, but when all the characters came together at the end, sparks started to fly and the ending was worth the wait.

3.5 Stars rounded up.
David and Kitty seem to have it all. Friendships, success and a happily ever after. But looks can be deceiving. Especially with them! Infidelity, lies, double crossing, and secrets. Will you be able to figure out what's happening?
So many things happened in this book that kept me wondering what was next. Let me start by saying, the twists definitely got me! The first one I struggled with because I felt it was a little unrealistic. But that was early on in the book and it became more clear as the story unfolded. I enjoyed reading this one and kept thinking about coming back to it.
Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for the advanced copy of this intriguing book.

Really quick read psychological thriller with a lot of twists and shocks.
Finished this in 2 sittings, perfect for holidays or a plane journey.
One of those books where you're not sure who is the 'good' guy.
Remember not all is what it seems, it's a long time since a book was able to throw me completely, but this one did.
Thanks to Netgalley and the author for the ARC.

Great book. The storyline is compelling and complicated. Not the usual psychological thriller. I was hooked until the last page. Fantastic ending.

I was enjoying this physcological thriller until I got about half way through. It then completely lost me, I didn't know who was who ? Who had become who?. Whilst others may enjoy this book, I didn't feel there was a flow to the storyline.and unfortunately it wasn't for me

They way this book was set up was clever. Its going to be hard to explain or even give details without spoiling the layers and tricks within the book but I'll try.
There was a moment where i was like OHHHH and was like i need to put new lenses on. They layers where done so well, and once everything fulls into place it makes sense.
It also has elements of how trustworthy is the narrator.
So if you like physical, suspense, twists, and drama then pick this up.

As an avid thriller reader, I enjoyed part 1 of The Other Woman. The characters were well-developed, it was well-written and quick chapters. Without giving away any spoilers, there's a shocking twist at the beginning of Part 2 that I found extremely disappointing. Unfortunately the plot becomes messy, far-fetched and ridiculous. I kept shaking my head and rushed to finish ish the book.

So I loved this book to the point of reading it within two days! It’s full of twists, turns and suspense! The only downside for me was that I found the character interaction really confusing at first - it only really all came together at the end. I found that you knew absolutely nothing about a character and then once they were introduced it was like BAM there’s a twist! But once it all comes together, it makes for a fantastic story!

This book started with Kitty and David having some problems in their marriage. They used to be happy, but Kitty had problems getting pregnant which caused her to have some mental health issues and David had an ex girlfriend turned stalker. David is feeling a lot of pressure at work and feeling neglected by his wife he ends up having an affair. The book had several plot twists that keeps you guessing until the very end. I felt like the book had a lot of different story lines going at once and it was a little hard piecing some of them together. I liked the way the book ended, but I felt like it ended pretty quickly. Overall, the book was enjoyable. I thought it was a good suspense book.
Thank you to NetGalley and Bookoutre for the advanced copy. I will recommend this book to friends.

Quick psychological thriller with a shocking ending. Kitty and David were the “it” couple until trouble hits their marriage. I really enjoyed how the book started and ended. There were some good twist throughout the book. There were a few time I had to go back to make some clarification on characters. Over interesting read!

Lies, secrets, deceit, infidelity- this book has got it all! Holly Black has done a fantastic job delivering a suspenseful thriller with an ending we did not see coming!
The Other Woman is a slow burn domestic drama that takes you on a wild ride at the end.
Kitty and David appear to be a happily married couple, but their marriage is far from perfect. They struggle with a failed pregnancy and unsuccessful IVF, and this brings difficulty into their marriage. Their relationship is not made any easier, with David being semi-famous. He is a journalist who covers the nitty-gritty shameful acts of many famous individuals. Although his top researcher, Nina Bello, is a huge help to him and his department, Kitty does not trust her. At least not around David. She suspects him to be cheating, however when she is discovered dead one day, both Kitty and David are certain they did not do it.
This is a book that is filled with twists, turns, and shocking revelations, however most don't seem to appear until other characters are introduced. It is a book you have to see through to the end, and I promise you, it will be worth it! When the other characters were slowly brought in, at first I was confused, but once I got it I was wowed! Completely jaw-dropped! Unfortunately, the majority of the book seems slow and predictable, but when characters begin confronting each other, that's when the real drama begins! This is a solid 4 star read for me, one with a fantastically shocking ending!
Thank you NetGalley, Bookouture, and Holly Down for this rollercoaster ride!

There are three of us in this marriage. One of us has to go…
Don’t you just want to grab this, switch off the phone and curl up on the sofa.
A gripping start, great beginning and all the way through pace that kept me wanting to keep reading like crazy and it also had an unforgettable ending.

David and Kitty have a perfect marriage - at least, that’s what everyone on the outside thinks, including David.
David is well-known, due to working on a tv series. Nina, who David works with, is young and pretty.
Catherine was David’s stalker, when he starts to get letters again, he is worried that it is Catherine again - the woman who nearly ruined him.
This psychological thriller is based in and around London. There are quite a few characters in the tale and I did get a little confused at one point.
The ending was not what I was expecting at all, there were many twists to throw me off the scent.
My thanks to Bookouture and NetGalley for a copy in exchange for my honest review.

This was definitely a whiplash of twists. I devoured this story in one session. I was glued from page one til the end. I was a bit confused with the characters but it didn't distract from the story. A definite recommend
thank you Bookouture and Netgalley
