I LOVED THIS BOOK! My rating would be higher but the ending really was like ??? We aren’t going to go any further after we have found out the big reveal at the end??? If it would’ve wrapped up a little better it would’ve been 5 stars for SURE! I just feel like I’m reeling after not hearing what happened after the big reveal.

It kept me on edge the whole time I was reading it. I didn’t know who to suspect or who not to suspect. At one point I was just as paranoid as Rachel was I was like I bet everybody is guilty. It was such a build up the whole story, towards the end I sort of suspected who I thought the lover was for sure but reading it was like oh my god!

I will say Rachel was so annoying at point with the going back and forth with everything but obviously I understand why but I was like omg girl stand up for yourself here. Definitely didn’t like the way Tom was trying to control everything.

My only criticism is just how it ended so abruptly. If you are a fan of physiological horrors this is definitely a great read for you. I also think this was a slow burn type of story because very slowly do you find things out about what is going on.

I am also curious to check out some of the authors other works as well now. It’s so exciting finding an author that can write a book so well.

Thank you to netgalley and the publisher for allowing me an ARC of this book.

4 star read

Uhm holy wow!! That ending I was not expecting that AT ALL!!! Just wow I need more details I need another book I just need more!!

Rachel being made out that she was crazy, and that her new friend Chloe was just bad news and nothing but trouble. All along I was convinced it was Chloe but the end twist I was not expecting at all!

This book was a bit slower to the usual pace I like my psychological thrillers to be but in the end I couldn’t put it down!

Thank you so much for the opportunity to review this book, definitely recommend it.

You, Me, Her by Sue Watson is another pacey, bingeable thriller from the author, and the element of the unknown identity of a stalker really kept me alert and unsettled throughout.

Rachel has joined her husband Tom at their new seaside home, a house which Tom alone has spent months renovating and decorating. Along with their young son Sam, it is a new beginning for the family, and Rachel is anxious to make a start on their new life. But when Tom reveals that a swimming pool has been a major part of his revamp, Rachel cannot be more confused and hurt. Tom knows that she has a debilitating fear of water, so why on earth would he include a pool in his plans for their dream home? And why is realtor Chloe comfortable enough to let herself into their house? Things are not adding up, and Rachel knows that she must do whatever it takes to keep her family safe.

This was an engaging read that I found difficult to put down for even a moment. Sue Watson has long been an automatic read for me, and her latest reminded me of the reason.

Many thanks to NetGalley and Bookouture for an ARC.

Sue Watson, You, Me, Her, Bookture, June 2024.

Thank you, NetGalley, for providing me with this uncorrected proof for review.

You, Me, Her is a competent example of the psychological drama genre, complete with the twists that are one of the usual features. However, it has nothing to lift it out of the standard fiction for this genre, and from past experience with Sue Watson’s fiction I hoped for something more. Like Watson’s, The Wedding, the first part of this novel is fairly slow, with the main character’s introspection verging on uncomfortable. The last part of the novel moves more quickly.

Turning first to the build up which is predominantly through Rachel’s eyes, taking in her present, immediate past and past. Rachel and Tom’s life in Manchester in a small flat has been supplanted by his absence for six months while Rachel sells the flat, and Tom refurbishes to immaculate quality their large home in Cornwall. Rachel’s past alone, without Tom and their four-year-old Sam, is largely defined by her fear of water, its origin gradually revealed as the narrative progresses. The relationship between Rachel and Tom is well written, raising questions about both Rachel and Tom.

Is Rachel’s imagination and fear so strong that she will permanently destroy this new life in Cornwall? Is Tom fostering that fear? Rachel believes in him, trusts him and adores him …but is prepared to ignore his warnings about Chloe. Is she right or is Tom determined to protect her from a destructive relationship? Interspersed with the new beginnings in Cornwall are glimpses of the past, Rachel’s loving and protective father whose will has made the new house possible and her best friend Rosa whose comforting presence Rachel calls upon during Tom’s absence from home on working assignments.

In the present, the fear that Rachel experiences is well drawn, deftly maintaining an element of scepticism about her and her understanding of events and characters. This lack of certainty is a clever device, and although the twists are quite predictable, the story maintains its tension because Rachel, Chloe and Tom remain characters whose personalities are not easy to accurately detect. Although this novel did not meet my expectations, it is a good beach read like so many in this genre.

You, Me, Her is a psychological thriller by Sue Watson. The main character is Rachel, who just moved to a new town with her husband and 4-year-old son. Rachel has a hard time adjusting and becomes friends with Chloe. Rachel soon learns that Chloe may not be who she says she is, and her husband may have some secrets as well.

This thriller was a little too predictable for my taste. I was able to see the big twist coming about halfway through the book. It was however a quick easy read. If you are a fan of movies like Single White Female or Fatal Attraction, you will definitely enjoy this book.

Overall I rated the book 3 1/2 stars. It was good, but I don’t think I would read it again. Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC!

Another brilliant book by Sue Watson. It had so many twists and turns was so fast paced and It really kept me guessing.
Set in Cornwall Rachel and her family move into a stunning house which has had a swimming pool installed especially for her by her husband even though she has a fear of water.
The plot had me on the edge of my seat and I couldn’t put the book down.
The characters were excellent and I had no idea who to trust. The ending was just brilliant and totally unexpected.

What a twisted book and I really didn’t like her husband from the start. Imagine building a swimming pool in your new home when your wife’s biggest fear is water. This guy clearly only cares about money but does that means he’s doing what her new friend is saying and is she in real danger. This is dark and a great read.

This story will have you non-stopping second guessing yourself. It is a story of a couple with a young son who move into a big new house the husband renovated from his wife’s newly gained inheritance. The wife makes friends with a very clingy and sort of “off” woman who begins to make claims that makes the wife question everything she thought she knew about her husband. Is he a liar? A cheat? Who can she trust?

Thanks to Netgalley for this eArc for my honest review.

A fun, twisty story of a stalker! It kept my interest throughout! I wasn’t sure where this story was going, so I kept guessing! Eventually I got it right, but it was a great ride! There was a good fleshing of the characters in this book, and you don’t know who is genuine. That is what made this story unpredictable and an enjoyable read! I’ll seek out more of Sue’s books!

Watson has crafted a masterful story filled with complex characters and twists that kept me guessing at every turn. The shifting perspectives between the three main characters – You, Me, and Her – added layers of intrigue and suspense, as each one revealed their own secrets and motivations.

The dynamics between the characters are brilliantly explored, and I found myself constantly questioning their motives and alliances. As the tension mounts and suspicions escalate, the novel hurtles towards a shocking and unforgettable conclusion that left me reeling.

Tom and Rachel have a beautiful new dream house thanks to Rachel’s inheritance. The only drawback is their pool – Rachel is terrified of it. Her only friend is Chloe, and Tom warns her about spending too much time with her. But, Rachel wants her enemies close. Someone is a liar; someone is in danger; someone is a killer!
This was a true psychological thriller with all the elements – stalking, lying, betrayal, secrets, and many twists and turns. It grabbed me from the beginning – I couldn’t wait to see what happened next. It’s the thriller I’ve been looking for – it was one to remember!

So many secrets and lies! I wasn’t in love with Tom so it took me a second to get into the story. But, once I did I really liked it. Lots of twists and turns.

Three people. One marriage. One murder.

Rachel moves to Cornwall to the new house her husband has built and furnished for her, only to discover he's installed a pool in the garden even though she's afraid of water. She makes friends with Chloe, a mum from school, but is everything as it seems?

This chilling thriller left me guessing at every turn. The tension builds throughout the book and you start to question everything the character experiences. I would have liked there to be more explanations at the end (it ends rather abruptly) but the twists and turns of the story kept me happily entertained throughout.

Name of Book: You, Me. Her
Author: Sue Watson
Publisher: Bookouture
Genre: Psychological Thriller

My Rating: 4.3 Stars!
Pages: 316

Rachel and Tom Frazer are moving into their new home in Cornwall after a year of renovation. Rachel’s inheritance from her father’s estate is being used to create their dream home. Rachel and Sam stayed in Manchester while Tom supervised the renovation. Now they are ready to move in as a family.

Tom has just toasted “To New beginnings’ when Rachel hears a noise in their Kitchen. “Hello? -says a women’s voice. Tom answers-“Who’s there? Chloe Mason tossing her sunglasses onto the kitchen island like she owns the place.
Tom introduces Chloe as their estate agent who stopped by to drop off paperwork.
Chloe seems to over stay her visit, and joins Tom and Rachel for or dessert before she finally leaves.

Tom has another surprise for Rachel. The wall garden that she has been anxious to turn into a play area for Sam turns out not to be a green garden she was expecting but a swimming pool. Her reaction is not what Tom expected as she is terrified – (I want to believe Tom had good intentions even though he knows Rachel cannot swim but her reaction seems like it is something more.)
When Tom shows the surprise to little Sam, his reaction is similar to Rachel’s.
That night when Rachel checks in on Sam to tuck him in, he tells them that a lady is in the pool and she waved to him.
(With that I checked if this genre is paranormal! – Its not so I am sure Chloe is responsible!)

When Little Sam becomes friends with Emily – Chloe’s daughter; Rachel and Chloe become friends taking Sam and Emily to the park etc. Tom does not like Chloe, just as he doesn't like Rachel's best friend, Rosa. In fact, he doesn't seem to welcome anyone who takes Rachel's attention from him. He tells Rachel not to trust Chloe.

We soon know that there indeed are three people in this marriage, Rachel, Tom, and Her?

I read a lot of thrillers and have a suspicious mind so was on ‘high alert to figure out “Her”!
I know to be suspicious of everyone!
I know that more than likely the most obvious person didn’t do it!

Since I was suspicious of everyone no surprise that I got who “Her” was.
(Actually she was high on suspect list! )

This is my sixth Sue Watson read ~ " The New Wife, The Resort, The Nursery, and The Wedding Day" all earned 5 stars and I give very few 5 star ratings.
I also liked "Summer Flings and Dancing Dreams" but the genre wasn't as exciting as the others!!
I was excited and looking forward to this story as it certainly looked like my kind of a read! 🙃 (I need to find a twisty emoji!)

Want to thank NetGalley and Bookouture for granting me the pleasure of reading this GREAT early eGalley.
Publishing Release Date scheduled for June 3, 2024.
