This book has made me into a tennis ball – as it bounces me back and forth on what I believe is true. One minute I believe one person – the next page, I believe that person instead.
There is so much happening in the book that I have never felt more intrigued and excited to get to the next page – not the next chapter.
There are many heart pounding moments all the way to the end.
The author gives such voice and credibility to the characters that you fall deep for each of them.
The story line is so well written and believable that you are hanging on every written word.
Bravo – well done!
Fun twisty read, and couldn't put down till I found out what happened, although the characterisation and descriptions are rather bland and generic .
I'm always happy when I see a book by Sue Watson on my TBR list.
As always, a great mystery from Sue Watson. A great story with an unbelievable twist at the end.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC
This book was excellent. It captured my attention the entire time and I sailed through it. I am recommending this to all of my friends. It will be on KU once published.
Pop your popcorn and put your feet up. Rachel and Tom are making a fresh start in their Cornwall dream house. Their son Sam is safely tucked in his new bedroom. Time to go check out the secret garden where nightmares await for Rachel. Is Tom really an understanding, patient husband? Is he clueless? Or is he calculating? Someone named Chloe might have some answers. She came to visit that first night and had keys to the house -- because she worked for the estate agent. Isn't that convenient? Your spidey senses will be tingling as strange things happen around the house and Tom seems to have an explanation for every thing that concerns Rachel. We all know there is more going on than Rachel realizes. That's what keeps those pages turning. If you love Daniel Hurst, then you will want to try Sue Watson.
A big thank you to Bookouture for a digital ARC in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.
This twisty turning story definitely kept me curious. I thought I had it all figured out multiple times and then another surprise popped up around the next corner. Sue Watson's You, Me, Her is a great thriller that I didn't want to put down. Thank you netGalley for the ARC!
Revving, turbulent, and enticing! This book was so good that I finished it at 4 a.m. because I could not put it down. My Kindle battery went from 99% to 60% in one day. As a cautionary tale, do not start reading this book at night; you will not sleep.
This thriller is a thrill ride of suspense, constantly challenging your assumptions and making you question what's going on. If you enjoy thrillers that keep you guessing from start to finish, this is the one for you!
The story revolves around a seemingly perfect family composed of Tom, Rachel, and Sam, who uproot their lives from Manchester to Cornwall. Their move, triggered by an inheritance and a dream home, raises questions. Whose dream home is it? Is the family united in their desires, or are there hidden agendas? Can Rachel's perspective be trusted, or are the people around her manipulating her? And what about the mysterious events that unfold? Who is pulling the strings?
This book is engaging and has a well-written plot—a constant battle between what Rachel is experiencing and a gut feeling of something not adding up.
You, Me, Her is the ideal book for a book club because I can't stop thinking about it and wish I had someone to discuss it with!
I highly recommend this book. Here's a friendly warning: don't start reading it at night; that way, you can rest.

Wow, this book is so good! Sue Watson is one of my favourite go to authors and this one was a belter!
Rachel and Tom and their young son, Sam, have moved into a beautiful new house on the Cornish coast with money left to Rachel by her father. Tom has been renovating the house, while Rachel sells their old flat in Manchester. Although Rachel has her doubts, things seem idyllic until she meets Chloe, their estate agent. Initially striking up a friendship, Rachel soon begins to suspect that Chloe is not all she seems and when Chloe makes a confession, Rachel finds herself not knowing who she can trust....
I absolutely love stories with unreliable narrators or characters and this was so cleverly done. Chloe appears completely unhinged, but is she just desperate for a friend? The underlying tension and menace builds throughout the story and I couldn't stop turning the pages. The ends of several chapters actually made me gasp out loud!
The Cornish seaside setting and the beautiful house was beautifully captured, as was Rachel's increasing unease and fear as the book progresses.
To say any more would spoil it, suffice to say, just read it now! Highly recommended, as are all of Sue's books.
Huge thanks to author Sue Watson, publishers Bookouture and Net Galley for this ARC in exchange for my honest review.
Sue Watson does it again!
This author never ever disappoints. Her books are always a rollercoaster ride and that is what makes a good book and brings you back for more of her writing.
She knows how to write the twists and turns that the readers are looking for. Hope there will be a part two so that we can find out what happens to Tom and Rachel.
I will read anything that Sue Watson writes.
Thanks NetGalley for letting me read and review.
WHOA! What a rollercoaster of a read!!! Every single page had me guessing! I did have an idea on who ‘her’ was towards the end and I turned out being correct. I’m giving 4 stars because I feel that there needs to be an epilogue to wrap everything up. I’d love to know what happened with Tom and his trial and the future of Rachel.
I really enjoyed this book! I found myself on the edge of my seat for most of the way through. I’ll be very honest, I hated Rachel’s character and her constantly gaslighting herself into believing anything but the truth. I know she had some mental health issues but GOOD LORD WOMAN GET IT TOGETHER (insert Edna mode gif here). I did see the twist at the end coming from a mile away but I did really enjoy how the author got to that point and all the crazy turns along the way.
WOW what a fantastic book. I highly recommend this book. I'm still reeling from the rush it gave me.I read it in one day. I just couldn't put it done.
Sue you did a fantastic job on the book! All the twists and turns! Can't wait until the next one. I totally loved this book
This is a story about a husband and wife (Tom and Rachel) who buy their dream home complete with a swimming pool. Rachel befriends Chloe, but something seems off with her. If you are a fan of who-done-it books, then I highly recommend this one. It kept me guessing, but I did figure it out fairly early on in the book, which was a little disappointing, but I kept reading to make sure I was right. Even so, I really did enjoy the book.
Thank you NetGalley and Sue Watson for the opportunity to read this book before it’s been released ❤️
A twisty, page turning thriller, with gaslighting galore. You, Me, Her, had me saying “one more chapter” until I was essentially done with the book.
You never know who to trust in this book. Has the MC Rachel lost it, is her husband Tom a manipulative liar, or is their estate agent Chloe a psychopath trying to steal her life?
Rachel’s fear of water and her slow unfolding backstory adds such an interesting element to the story, what a great read!
I’d like to thank Bookouture and NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read ‘You, Me, Her’ written by Sue Watson in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.
Now that Rachel’s husband Tom has finally finished altering the new house in Cornwall into their dream home it’s ready for Rachel and their four-year-old son Sam to move into. Rachel soon becomes friends with Chloe, the estate agent who’s been helping by letting workmen into the house in Tom’s absence, but Rachel starts to doubt some of the things she’s being told about Tom. Who can she believe, Tom or Chloe?
‘You, Me, Her’ is an addictive psychological thriller that involves the three main characters of Rachel, Tom and Chloe, and once started it’s impossible to put down. From page one I was convinced I was going to love it and I wasn’t proved wrong as the further I got into the plot the more involved I became, convinced that the lies being told were intended to cause harm to someone. This novel contains everything that’s essential for a gripping thriller, drama, suspense, and dread that the impossible could be about to happen. There are plenty of twists and turns that have kept me turning pages and a conclusion I’d guessed beforehand but still managed to surprise me. It’s been brilliantly written with perfect character descriptions by a very accomplished author and I can definitely recommend it.
This book is a good domestic thriller. It did what it should by keeping me reading and guessing, and that ending, wow. I have read most of Sue Watson's books and this is her best one in my opinion. I can recommend this book.
This was my first read by this author - and while I did find it quite slow at times, it did have some little twisty nuggets.
I did find some parts of the story to be over explained and then some not so much. I can see that the author was trying to keep us guessing/intrigued - but it did miss the mark a little.
It did keep me wondering throughout the first half of the book, but I did pick up on the ending quite early on.
I’d really like to read another book by this author to get a bit more of a feel for her writing style.
Overall it was an ok read.
Holy wow! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I definitely was not expecting some of that. The way the author has written this book from start to finish was great! The cliff hangers on each chapter kept me going! But the chain of events 🤯 Absolutely a great thriller read 👏🏼
This was such a tense, exciting read. I loved how the relationships started brewed as Rachel and Chloe’s friendship developed. I was literally glued to the page and read this book in two sittings.
I found myself fooled and misdirected on several occasions - how exciting was that? As for main character, Rachel, I loved being in her head as everything unfolded. Using Rachel’s phobia against her was a fabulous touch by Sue Watson. I felt her rising levels of panic throughout. ‘You, Me, Her.’ Is an absolutely cracking psychological thriller and I loved every minute of it!
“Because she's dangerous!”
Thrilling, surprising, engaging, but also terrifying … I would say a thriller worth the name !!!
A woman moving into another city after a trauma. Her child and her husband. A new unexpected friend who is not what she thinks she is. Some complicated dynamics and a narrative that it catching and engaging from the very beginning and will leave you wanting more. It was fast paced and action packed so you never get bored. I truly think I needed to read a book like this. I wanted to be surprised by a plot that I was not expecting and at the end, it seems that this book gave me exactly that!! Up until the last moment I truly thought I had it all figured out. Turns out I was absolutely wrong. Might have predicted some twists but others I was clueless to. And I really really enjoyed that. I particularly liked the fact that the reader is there, alongside the main character, Rachel, trying to figure out the truth behind this terrible experience that she is facing. I usually enjoy books where children are involved and when they are the only source of truth and verity … we should listen to them so much more !! This book was the perfect thriller to get you out of a slump and suck you in a narrative. I’m very glad I had the chance to read it !!
“He said that just now, he looked through the window and someone was in the pool waving to him!”
