Have you ever read a trope and been like "do I like this...?" and upon further reflection decided "yes, I do like this!" We love a queen who embraces herself and a golden retriever who puts his queen on a pedestal(for easier access, ya know)! This book was absolute perfection. 10/10 can't wait to read again. Stalker in the sweetest way possible, yes please!

FIVE SIZZLING STARS I absolutely could not put this book down... As soon as it was available on audio I IMMEDIATELY did a re-read! I am so excited for book two, Navessa Allen has now become an auto-buy author for me!

Butcher and Blackbird vibes and the perfect spice. I honestly think this is a great beginner dark romance book. It’s dark and the spice is spicing, but there’s humor and you can’t help but absolutely love Josh both as himself and as the masked man.

I will say, the first 40% was so strong. I expected this to be a five star read, but the last half dragged on. I didn’t ever really want to pick it up after the masked man reveal. That’s not to say I didn’t enjoy my time but just wish the whole thing was as exciting as the first half.

This is a super fun dark romance. This one is for fans of the Buther and Blackbird series - if you loved that, you'll quickly be a fan of Lights Out as well!

If you loved Butcher and Blackbird like I did, you will enjoy Lights Out! It's full of great banter and dialogue between Aly and Josh. I loved their story. Do be warned of a significant spice level and dark romance.

A perfect intro to dark romance read! I would absolutely handsell this title to people who are interested in dark romance but are not ready for something as intense as HAUNTING ADELINE or GOD OF MALICE. This book fills a much needed hole in the dark romance market, and was a surprisingly sweet and exciting erotic read!

What a fun/dark read!!! Love to see the trigger warnings lol. I think this was the perfect book to get me out of my reading slump. Nothing to serious, something that I could mindlessly read while doing tasks around the house.

This book is now on my 2024 favorites list and would be a ten if I could rate it that high. I loved every minute of this story. It's a dark stalker romance with a dark intriguing plot to go along with the heart racing relationship of two very captivating characters. It's a dual perspective, following Aly and Josh, both interesting with crazy backstories that were detailed and descriptive and added so much to their present. Josh is most definitely my favorite character, he was just thoughtful, wanted to keep his loved ones safe and had a never-ending amount of witty comebacks. It is 3 on the spicy scale, the relationship dynamics between Aly and Josh were just spot on. I highly recommend this book. It was great but please check trigger warnings before picking this book up.

Great read! Loved josh and his two sides. The more I kept reading, the more difficult it was to stop. Lots of action and humour throughout.

This book was everything I could've asked for in a dark romance. It was spicy, kinky, dark as hell, while also giving me all of the rom-com vibes I love. The chemistry was so good and I already want to reread this asap because I loved these characters so much!

This was such a fun book! I loved the banter and chemistry between Josh and Aly. I loved that she was so feisty and he pushed her boundaries but was super protective. I never knew I had a mask kink.

I work in healthcare and am not super into doctors so I was a little hesitant going in, but I had such a fun time with this book. Definitely a dark romance with spice, but also a fast-paced story that I finished in one sitting. So, lack of interest in doctors be damned, this was still very enjoyable.

Where are my dark romance girlies who love stalker romance? This one is for you!

I won’t lie, it did take me a minute to get into this book, but when I did, I was obsessed with it.

I immediately fell in love with Aly! Aly is a badass and isn’t easily rattled.

The connection and the banter between Aly and Josh is *chef’s kiss*. I just absolutely loved these two together. Josh is definitely swoon worthy. And the spice was A1! I might have developed a new kink 😏.

I started off reading this but then turned to the audiobook. I loved this duo narration. The narrators, Jacob Morgan and Elena Wolfe, did a fantastic job bringing the characters’ personalities and stories to life. I was sucked in and didn’t want it to end.

Definitely read this if you enjoyed Butcher and Blackbird and love a couple who slays together.
