This book was fine, but nothing to write home about. The story had its moments, but it didn’t leave a lasting impression. It wasn’t bad, just not particularly memorable. If you’re invested in the series, it’s worth a read, but I’d recommend borrowing it from the library before spending money on it. A take-it-or-leave-it kind of read.

Of course this was worth the wait! I inhaled the last two books! This did not let me down! I love this book!

I binge read this in, like, 2 days. It’s an amazing conclusion to the trilogy and I just loved everything about it. I’ll miss Arwen, Kane, and all the incredible side characters, but at the same time, I’m so happy with how everything ended that it makes me sort of glad that the story concluded so perfectly? If that even makes sense?! 🥹
Truly, this entire series deserves 15 stars because I adored all 3 books.
✨Fae, humans, witches, dragons
✨Slow burn, steamy romance with tension and banter
✨Found family
✨Emotional damage
✨Dual POV
✨Action packed and well paced
✨Fight to save the kingdom

I liked the way this book wrapped up mostly nice and neat. It wasn’t as food as the first two but still fun to read. I definitely recommend reading it, especially if you read the first two.

this really just didn't seem me, I miss the banter of the two characters, the plot was predictable, sadly I loved the first book but the others lost that magic for me

I had the awesome pleasure of being on the ARC team for all three of the Sacred Stones books and it’s been a journey. I can’t wait for Kate Golden’s books in the future.
I thought this was a great way to wrap up the series, and even hint at a possible spinoff one day. The ending of book two had me STRESSED so I was excited to see how this one would go. I’ll miss Kane and Arwen and their adventures. I need a Griffin and Mari story NOW.
Definitely recommend for anyone looking for a fun fantasy experience. This series has a special place in my heart. 🩷

I have mixed emotions when it comes to this book. I was really excited to enter back into this world and I was left feeling unsatisfied - the story just fell flat.
The beginning I was feral for the main characters to be back together especially after book 2 ending but the fact that it took almost half the book to get to that point was agonizing. Also, how the heck did we squeeze in a pregnancy trope and only-one-room in the mix.

4.5⭐️
Bravo. Well done. It had everything a well balanced, gripping romantasy should have: the perfect amount of world building, spectacular imagery, war politics (but not too much), intriguing plot and finally steamy angsty romance with a hot Fae king. I loved it. I also see some great potential for Mari and Griffin’s story especially because Mari’s work in Evendell is not done 👀 but that’s just me hoping for more from Kate Golden and this world!!

Such an incredible romantasy series & what an epic conclusion!!! I absolutely loved Kane & Arwen and all of the amazing side characters {I'm begging you Kate, please please please give us more of Griffin & Mari}. This book had so much action and plot twists and emotion and wow I just adore this series so much.

The final book in the Sacred Stones series and it was such a nice way to end the series. This series is a great romantasy series and I had fun reading all three books. The story wrapped up nicely and though I could absolutely do with another book following these characters, I had a great time regardless! I really enjoy Kate Golden's writing and can't wait to read what she writes next. Her world building is really well done and the series is one that I will absolutely be recommending!

This is the final installment of the Sacred Stones series and I am sad to see it end. It’s been a while since I’ve read a romantasy that grabbed me right from the jump. I devoured the first book and couldn’t get enough. And now here we are, at the end of the series.
I’m not sure how to review this book without giving anything away but let me tell you that I dragged my feet. I just didn’t want to say good bye.
Because it is final installment, there was a lot going on. It was action packed but I did feel like the middle was a tad bit too long. But it was fine because it introduced me to new characters and I got to spend more time with the ones I’ve loved since the beginning. If I had to pinpoint what makes this books so good is that Kate Golden has a knack for creating complex and relatable characters. Plus her world building is amazing!
But overall, this book was great and the series is just plain awesome. Highly recommend to romantasy lovers.

I absolutely loved this book. Anything that Kate writes? I just know it’s gonna be incredible. From the beginning from the middle to the end, hands-down, my favorite series out there.

This series started so strong for me! I've been burnt out on romantasy lately, but I ate A Dawn of Onyx up so fast. The final book in the trilogy was...fine. It's quick, it's spicy, it's enjoyable to read, but it's nothing new for the genre. I do like the length of the series, it makes it more accessible!

I thought this was very good and I will have to add this to the shop shelves. Thank you for the chance for us to review.

Thank you so much Kate for giving me the opportunity to read an advanced reading copy and get to know how this story ends!!!
I think this must be the best book of the trilogy. And yet, when I read the author’s note, Kate explained she found it the most daunting as you have to leave no lose end, everything must make sense! Well, mission accomplished.
I will try to avoid any spoiler so this review will be on the shorter side and based on the notes I was taking while reading.
First note:
“Arwen is suffering every day awaiting her wedding to the king to be used as a breeding tool. The goal :give the king a full blooded fae heir.”
Well I can tell you that reading about her captivity was no picnic at all and I was raging!
Second note:
“Kane believes her dead and is looking for the help of a sorcerer to turn him full blooded fae. But beware what you wish for as it will come with a catch. A huge catch.”
Following Kane in his quest was hard too and when he had his wish granted, let’s just say that it didn’t lessen my stress level! You have to admire his dedication though! That’s a tough guy !
Third note (edited to avoid spoilers):
“Past protagonists reveal to be ruthless!” Prepare for betrayal here! The heroes will have a lot of ordeals and setbacks. It was very bad for my nails…
Fourth note:
“Lazarus is a despicable villain with world domination on his mind. He is so greedy he is causing the ruination of the realm.”
Well you have a true evil villain in that story! Powerful but also bordering on madness. Kane and Arwen will have their hands more than full!
Fifth note:
“Dread and anticipation and holding breath! Hanging on tight to my seat when faced with near death situation and mad escapes from burning cities crawling with enemy guards and monsters.”
I think that one is self-explanatory: that book was so engrossing and gripping that I sometimes forgot to breathe!
Sixth note:
“Arwen has grown so much since the beginning of the story. Going through near death multiple times, facing danger and overcoming her fear, being brave. Becoming worldly visiting all the different kingdoms and cities. Being aware that « it was courageous to just get up each day when there was so much to fear. Most importantly this woman liked herself. »”
Arwen’s character development throughout the series was truly amazing! She became so confident. A skilled fighter as well and I do love a badass female LOL
To add to these notes I also loved:
-The found family: »I loved these stories. The links between us all-how his family of sorts was held together through memory and history and laughter. »
-the romance with “I would let the world burn for you” vibe and spice!
-The prophecies with deal to make.
-The action and ordeals keeping me interested;
And what I believe is a clue to a future series happening in the same world but…we’ll see if I am right.
All that to say that Kate did great and that if you loved the first two books you HAVE to read this one!

I was lucky enough to be an arc reader for this series from the beginning. I absolutely loved every second of it. If you are looking for an amazing romantasy trilogy then this is where it's at. A stunning world, magic, character growth, romance, and found family. This has all the things. Kate will continue to be a must read for me.

Getting to be an ARC reader for this trilogy has been amazing. I really enjoyed all three books and thought book 3 perfectly wrapped up the series. I plan to read more of her books in the future and hope she does a spin off series!
(Forgot to rate book on here until now, sorry)

THE MOST PERFECT ROMANTASY SERIES. Beautiful worldbuilding, epic romance, so much character growth, the magic was STUNNING. I was rooting for our FMC on every page. I can’t wait to re-read it all over again!

I’m just not ready for it to be over. I need more.
I find it so much harder to write a review for a book in a series that I loved, which seems like it would be easier but I don't even know where to start. The characters in this series are some of my all time favorites, they're easy to connect with and root for. Arwen grows so much throughout this series and is such a bad*ss and Kane is the ultimate Shadow Daddy, touch her and die, lives for his love MMC. I loved their romance from the start and I'm happy with the ending despite how I'll always want more of them -- so hopefully we get a Mari/Griffin series and they play a little role in it(: Mari is her sassy self in this one but a lot more serious, growing her knowledge and control of her powers, and Griffin is his usual quiet, protective, lovable self. I would have loved more of them but there are extra chapters that fill that and hopefully more on them in the future. They are the core four characters to watch, root for and love here but that's not to say there aren't other characters I was intrigued by just as much and would also love to see more of. Like the rest of the series, this book is full of magic, plenty of action scenes, danger, drama and politics -- and of course romance: spicy, swoony, sweet, all of the good stuff.
This is a romantasy series that I will always recommend. It's fast-paced with easy to follow world-building/fantasy elements, lovable and interesting characters, fantastic banter and is packed with emotion. It's definitely one that can be reread and enjoyed many times. 10/10

Oh my gosh, can I scream it from the rooftops, this trilogy hits the spot for an outstanding Romantasy read.
I couldn't put the first two books down, and grabbed this book up the moment I could. If you are looking for a wonderful completed trilogy read that has twist and turns you don't see coming along with amazing side characters that you fall in love with. Not including the main characters of Kane and Arwen who make you not want to put the books down, the banter is on point with Griffin and Mari.
