I am really sad to see this series end but this was a wild ride from beginning to end. I immediately want to reread this entire series and look forward to more books from this author.
It gave all the romantasy vibes, while not skipping on the magic and adventure. The couple's chemistry was so good and they're honestly one of my favorite book couples of all time.

*thank you so much Netgalley and Kate for letting me read a copy of this early!*
I always try to be more professional and coherent in my reviews for netgalley, because I recognize the privilege of being able to read these books early and the importance of reviews.
However, there is just something about this series that makes me just want to be able to put a sound recording of me screaming into a goodreads review. Or a video of me doing one of those silent reviews from tiktok, because I think my facial expressions while reading this book is more accurate than any words I could come up with.
I had no doubt in my mind that I would love this book. After reading both of the first 2 through netgalley and devouring each one, I couldn't wait to delve in and likely devour this one as well. And I did. This one picks up right where the last one left off, throwing us directly into action.
This book is definitely darker and more intense than the others, as war looms. But don't worry, the sweet tender moments between the characters we love and cherish are still there. I loved seeing the sweet fluffy moments between Arwen and Kane (and the spicy ones, obviously) in between the intense, more stressful bits.
I think that this was a fantastic end to this series, and while I'm satisfied with the ending, I'm sad to say goodbye to these characters I have grown so attached to.

I MISS THEM ALREADY ITS SO UNREAL.
this was the perfect end to a trilogy and I am just so in love with what Kate wrote. There was a point in the book, about 60% in where I said to myself "there's no way this is all going to get wrapped up" and it was done PERFECTLY. The tension, the action, the REVEALS... ugh I already want to reread it.

Thank you to Netgalley and Berkley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review
This was such an exciting, twisting and twirling end to the series. I honestly had no idea how with that cliffhanger the story could possibly tie up every thread, but this was such a satisfying conclusion, and I really like how there was room for the story to continue with other characters (fingers crossed it does).
Such an bingable and incredible series it's going down as one of my all itme favorites

Loved every second of this incredible book. I’ve followed the story from the first installment and I loved watching Kane and Arwen’s relationship grow. This book was equal parts heartbreaking and empowering and I love that the author has kept the story somewhat open so that she can explore more within this world in the future.

Before I start my review, I want to thank the publisher and the author for letting me receive an ARC!! 🫶🏼
I fell in love with this trilogy from the very beginning. The first book had me HOOKED and the second book left me speechless, leaving my jaw on the floor.
The third and final book was truly amazing and made my heart SO happy, especially with how it ended.
I laughed, I screamed, and I cried.
I felt all the emotions in this book but it came together so beautifully and my heart feels full.
I couldn’t have asked for a better ending to an amazing trilogy. I miss the characters so so much already and I’m really hoping that the author will continue with other characters… cough, cough (Mari & Griffin). 😉
I can’t wait for you all to read this come October!!

If you’re looking for a fantasy trilogy to binge read, I highly suggest you pick up The Sacred Stones series by Kate Golden. These books have everything a romantic fantasy loving girlie wants - a morally grey mmc, a strong willed fmc, touch her and die vibes, all of the angst, AND DRAGONS!
I was hooked from book one and was so thankful to be an ARC reader for the series because waiting for each book to come out would have potentially killed me. Kate Golden killed it and I can’t wait to see what she puts out next!

What an epic ending to Kane and Arwens journey. I hope there are more books eventually in this kingdom as there are so many other characters I’d love to see get their happy ending. I laughed at all the banter and cried at the emotional ending. Even the moment with the strix toward the end. So special! I may of highlighted more passages here than any other book. The journey to get back to each other, stay together and the epic battle at the end all made for a perfect Romantasy. The spice here was steamy and just the right amount.

4.5 stars for the finale in this fantastic trilogy!!
This has been such a wild ride and I'm super disappointed that it's over - when I tell you i've been checking netgalley for the past 3 months waiting for this book...
This was a fantastic finale, and did not succumb to the classic third book blunder. Kane and Arwen will remain one of my OTPs for life. These books gave me major acotar vibes when I wasn't sure I would ever feel that way again - so bravo Kate Golden. I don't want to say too much so that I don't spoil anything, but just know it was fantastic - the romance, the spice, the action!!
This being a debut series is so so impressive and I can not wait for whatever Kate releases next!! (Hoping and praying for a Mari and Griffin spin off!!!)

Thank you to the publisher for sending me an ARC! I was dying to snag this one and so glad I was given the chance to read it early.

Oh, Kate Golden, you never disappoint me. With the insane cliffhanger of book 2, I NEEDED this one desperately. And luckily for me, this was a great finish to an amazing trilogy! Overall, the story was fast-paced, action packed, lots of romance and drama, a loving chosen family, betrayal, and it ended in a big way. All the things we love in a fantasy series. I will say of the 3 books, this one would probably rank #3, but don’t let that sway you… I REALLY love the first two.
SPOILERS BELOW!!!!
Things I loved:
- The sad boy pining from Kane at the beginning to try to get to Lazarus for revenge.
- Small, but I loved the tie in between the prologue scene with Halden and the scene later on with Wyn. It was a great connection to Arwen as a character.
- Griffin and Mari stop I could cry.
- Even more magic and world building which was fun, normally I feel like by the 3rd book you don’t get much more development in the way this book did.
- I live for a really big dramatic final battle, and we got that. There were so many moving parts and they all came together really well at the end.
- A happy ending epilogue <3
Things I wish could’ve been better:
- I wish that there was more drama and fight drawn out to get Arwen from Lazarus in the beginning. I feel like that was all so rushed, and since it was left on such a huge cliffhanger from book 2, I guess I was expecting that to be bigger and more important, but instead she escaped in the first 15-20% of the book.
- This is maybe silly, but the first spicy scene in this book was so awkward to me for some reason. I don’t know if it was the dialogue, or the placement of it, but it felt so weird to be happening when it did? Your girl loves a spicy scene too, so this is out of character for me.
- Much like the scene above, I felt like there were a few chapters that just felt jumbled or out of place in a way I can’t describe.
Overall, I really adored this series and this little family of characters made me so happy!
