I have loved this trilogy from the start! Kane and Arwen’s love story is just so beautiful! For a first Romantasy series, Kate Golden did such a wonderful job creating this world and characters that make us want to come back to it each book. This last book had so much action and emotions and romance packed in. Because there was so much packed in, I wish I had more time in this world to really dive deeper into some of the loose ends. Maybe we’ll get a companion story? But overall, I enjoyed myself reading this story and this last book gave me all the things I was hoping for and more!

#AReignOfRose:⁣

Thanks for the free book @prhaudio @berkleyromance #BerkleyPartner #PRHAudioPartner ⁣

“Do not equate bravery with fearlessness. If someone like you has nothing left to fear, it will be your heart I worry for. Fear is human, and only grows as we come to care deeply for others.”⁣

We say goodbye to Evendell and Lumera and it’s so bittersweet. It was so hard to read Arwen’s chapters. It was so unjust and I was so pissed at first. The amount of emotion that I had from reading the chapters just shows how emotionally attached I am to these characters. ⁣

Like with any war, there’s so much death and destruction that will rip your heart out. There’s also hope, friendship, and a promise of better tomorrow. I cried, I cheered, I clutched my pearls. Typical Romantasy vibes.⁣

Ruby Cherise and Will Damron will forever be Arwen and Kane. They’re both great readers and I highly recommend the entire series on audio.⁣

Definitely a series that will stick with me, one of my favorite Romantasies. The found family is so strong with this series, my heart truly bursts with happiness. The 3rd and final book in the series is out today.

A Reign of Rose by Kate Golden is the 3rd and final book in her The Sacred Stones romantasy trilogy. This picks up a few weeks after the end of A Promise of Peridot, with Arwen captured by Lazarus. Arwen fears Lazarus, as he plans on making her have children as his blood heir; she has been unable to escape, with Lazarus making sure guards are constantly watching her.
Kane, thinking that Arwen is dead, is determined to find the Blade that will kill his father, Lazarus. He leaves behind his team, to find his father; and while sneaks in at the ball, he is shocked to see Arwen, dressed to the hilt, and alive. Kane rescues Arwen, and together they manage to escape and find their way home; to gather their soldiers, and hopefully negotiate with other alliances.
Kane and Arwen return to the Rose Kingdom, with Mari, Griffin, Briar and others that are surprised and happy to see that Arwen is alive. They will need all the help they can get to fight the war against Lazarus. Arwen (the last full fae blooded born), is destined to kill Lazarus, accepting her fate in a prophecy meant to be her doom; but Kane plans on getting the Blade and ensuring that he is the one who will kill his father, and answer the prophecy of his death.
Arwen becomes so much stronger and a badass (she becomes a Phoenix), believing in herself, and her powers, as well as her confidence and outlook on her life. Kane loves Arwen so much, that he will do anything to keep her safe. I really loved how much both Arwen and Kane love each other. Great couple. I really liked the found family vibes, with so many of the wonderful characters, such as Mari, Griffin, Dagan, Briar, Wyn, just to name a few.
What follows is an intense, non- stop action, dragons, war and spice. Kane is determined to find the Blade that will kill his father and protect Arwen. The last 1/4 of the book was full of adventure, danger, intrigue, fast-paced, twists and turns, with an epic battle at the end. I was unable to put the book down, as it kept my attention throughout. It was also emotional, as well as steamy; with Kane and Arwen being together.
This was a wonderful romantasy, with the war, exciting, non-stop action filled; and romantic side with the emotional love and spice. The climax and epilogue were great, especially with Kane and Arwen together. A Reign of Rose was so very well written by Kate Golden. I hope that Kate Golden will give us more into this unique world; perhaps Mari/Griffin, Hart Renwick or Aleksander. Let’s hope, as I do want more.

Thank you to #partner @prhaudio for this free #audiobook in exchange for my honest review!! #PRHAudioPartner #sponsored

Also thank you @kategoldenauthor, @netgalley and @berkleypub for an #ebook #ARC and printed copy of 𝓐 𝓡𝓮𝓲𝓰𝓷 𝓸𝓯 𝓡𝓸𝓼𝓮!! 🌹

This has been by far one of my top favorite series this year…if not my favorite!! I picked up A Dawn of Onyx at a #bookstore randomly after reading the blurb. It was from then on…I was hooked!! I messaged Kate immediately and told her my new obsession, hehe!

A Promise of Peridot couldn’t come out soon enough, but it did and I devoured it! This was my favorite in the entire series…the story line, the fact that peridot is my birthstone, and holy crap that #cliffhanger!! BTW…absolutely love the #audiobooks for this series! The narrators did a phenomenal job! 🎧

Then, once A Reign of Rose was out to claim as an ARC; I jumped at the opportunity! The problem was I couldn’t bring myself to read it right away because it meant the end of this series…and I wasn’t ready to say goodbye. However, here I am…typing out my love for this series and writing my review.

I LOVED IT!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

And a special shoutout to the author herself! Thank you Kate for writing these books and introducing us all to the Sacred Stones, thank you for taking time to chat in your DMs too!

This is the final book in the Sacred Stones Trilogy, and a fitting finale to Kane & Arwen’s story! If you have started yet, read A Dawn of Onyx then A Promise of Peridot first.

Kane’s character arc is my favorite of the series. I don’t want to give any spoilers, but his grief broke my heart in the beginning of the book. I love how her & Arwen will go to the ends of the earth for each other.

The author does a great job of balancing the action and romance in this series. The final battle was so satisfying, especially seeing what Arwen’s transformation is. Dagan’s letter at the end left me crying. There are several interesting characters introduced in this story, including the Rose Queen & Fae gods. I am hoping this isn’t the last we will see of this world, because I NEED Mari & Griffin’s story!

𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲: romantasy, bathtub spice, he thinks she’s ☠️, longing & pining, mad queens & savage king, talking her through it, spicy training sessions, masked ball

Thank you to PRH Audio for providing me with a copy of this audiobook. Thank you to Berkley for providing me with a physical copy of this book. This review is voluntary, and all opinions are my own.

Absolutely my favorite one in the series. Like are you kidding me??? It came so full circle!!

I was so anxious pretty much the entire book because I had 0 idea how we would get a HEA, but Kate blew me out of the water!!!

(4.5/5) God, I love this series so much. This was the perfect way to end Arwen and Kane's story (but I'm also pleased with how she left it open for Mari and Griffin to have their story as well).

From the very beginning, I've loved the imagery Kate uses to set the scene for us - for each new Kingdom they explore, each new character we meet, the descriptions are truly magical and really set the tone and build the world.

Arwen and Kane have not had it easy through this series, but the heartache and yearning and pain all pays off in the end - though you will not make it through this series completely unscathed. Expect lots of emotion, laughter, tension, and spice in this fantastic conclusion to the sacred stones trilogy. Definitely recommend to all my romantasy friends!!

I absolutely cannot say how much I loved the conclusion of this book. After the cliffhanger from book 2 I was so excited to dive in! The world was lush, and imaginative, we explored more and .. ah the romance! Also: I cried. Some storylines really got my heart. A perfect conclusion to an excellent trilogy!

the scared stones trilogy is finally complete! arwen and kane are perfect together and you can’t change my mind. they have been through SO MUCH together and this conclusion was phenomenal. the battle scenes, the tension, and the FEELS. yes I may have teared up but it’s fine.

this series is for those who love fantasy romance with fae, a morally gray love interest, and an fmc who doesn’t think her softness is a weakness.

I adored this ending to one of my favorite trilogies. It was seriously perfect!

This book picks up shortly after A Promise of Peridot leaves off and is non stop for the whole book. Arwen and Kane seriously can’t catch a break but I loved their growth as a couple throughout the book.

This series has the BEST side characters and we meet even more in this book. I don’t know what the author has planned but I would LOVE to see some spin off romances from some of them. Aleksander? Heart? Mari and Griffin? I’m here for it all to be able to stay in this world a bit more.

If you haven’t picked up this series yet, do it, you will not regret it!

An action-packed ending to a phenomenal trilogy. The beginning of Reign of Rose was a slower, suspenseful build to an explosion of action with the last 100 pages having me on the edge of my seat. The Sacred Stones trilogy is a must-read for fans of Sarah J Maas, and I cannot wait to see what is instore for Kate Golden's next book.

A Reign of Rose by Kate Golden
🗡️
I love this series with my whole heart! It’s one of my very favorite romantasy series. I was so excited for this book, and it did not disappoint! It picks up right after the events in A Promise of Peridot, and it keeps you on your toes with betrayal, plot twists, nonstop action, and excellent spice. It was the perfect ending to an excellent series. I am totally satisfied with the way it ended, but am also so sad that it’s over. Kane is once again, peak book boyfriend material. He’s a Shadow Daddy, he’s completely obsessed with Arwen, he’s a little bit morally gray, and he would crawl through literal fire for the woman he loves. He is absolutely perfect. If you want a romantasy trilogy with a lush world, heart pounding action, political maneuvering, sweet found family, snarky banter, excellent angst and pining, and a swoony romance, go read this!! P.S. I need more books in this world! Specifically one about Griffin and Mari.

This is it 😥😭 We have come to the end of The Sacred Stones trilogy and I am sobbing 😭
I cannot believe it is already over. I don’t want it to end…

A Reign of Rose is a bit darker than the rest given the ending of the last book, A Promise of Peridot. If you were left hanging in the last book with that insane cliff hanger, don’t worry, AROR jumps right back into the story. A good first quarter or third of the book is mostly Arwen and Kane but we do finally get to see the rest of the gang more later on.

AROR is an incredible conclusion to this debut series and it’s super action packed. Just be ready. The war is coming to an end and our favorite characters are faced with many tough decisions, grueling battles, and have to take desperate actions as they fight Kane’s father, the evil Fae King Lazarus.

Overall, the pacing in AROR is pretty fast and Kate does an incredible job at balancing some of the more emotionally charged and darker scenes with more lighthearted and uplifting scenes. My personal favorite aspect of AROR, and honestly the entire series as a whole, is the banter. Kate is a master of banter and it just reels you in and makes you fall in love with her characters just that much more. This is one of those books I will literally laugh out loud or crack a smile at the words on the page when I get to those banter scenes. 🥰

If anything, I wish we got a little more Mari and Griffin.🥰🥰🥰 Can we get some bonus chapters (maybe even a novella … please I am begging)????

I have too many, but here are some of my favorite quotes:

“I’m only afraid of living without you. In death, in life. It’s all the same to me if we aren’t together.

“I urge you to remember this; do not equate bravery with fearlessness. If someone like you has nothing left to fear, it will be your heart I worry for.”

“‘This room is a cemetery of hobbies, witch. It makes me ill.’ Mari’s eyes devoured his as if prepared for combat. Kane snorted…‘Tread carefully, Commander.’”

I am sad that this is the last I’ll be seeing of Kane, Arwen, Mari, Griffin and the rest of the gang 😥 This was an absolutely wonderful debut series that I will miss very much. After all, there is a reason this series went viral! I am excited for what Kate has in store for us next and cannot wait for her next releases!

Happy Reading!

A Reign of Rose by Kate Golden Review
5/5⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
3/5🌶️🌶️🌶️
I can't believe this series is over! I have absolutely adored this series since book 1! After the twist ending of book 2, I was desperate for A Reign of Rose! I'm so sad to see this story come to an end. It was such a stellar book! I laughed, I swooned and I cried (like a lot) but I loved every second of it. This final installment put me through the emotional ringer but boy was it perfection! I won't spoil this book or the other two with this review because I want as many new people to go read this fantastic series! The Sacred Stones is one of my all-time favorite series! This series is a fantasy romance perfection! There's action, there’s heartbreak, there’s romance, there are dragons 😉, prophecies, witty banter, strong friendships, and there’s a badass FMC. I hope we get to see more of a certain two characters in the future, I know their story will be epic. I can’t wait to see what Kate has in store for her next story!

Thank you to the publisher, Berkeley Romance, and Kate Golden for an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This will forever be one of my favorite series. It all came together so beautifully in the end. The pacing could use some work, especially towards the middle after the characters are reunited, but all in all a really fun easy read perfect for those who want a mildly action packed fantasy romance.

This was one of my most anticipated releases of the fall and was so happy to receive an ARC! I had loved the first two books and this book provided such a satisfying conclusion to the series. The way Kane & Arwen fought for each other was amazing and made the ending feel deserved.

One of my favorite things about the series as a whole and this book in particular is how the author balanced spice and plot. This was definitely the spiciest book of the three which was 🔥, but also serviced the plot and felt like a natural culmination. It can be hard to stick the landing of a series, but Kate Golden did that and more with A Reign of Rose!

I really enjoyed this book and the conclusion of it all!!🥹
I loved all the moments between Kane and Arwen and I’ll love to them forever 🥹

Thank you so so much Berkley and and NetGalley for the ARC! 🩷

A wonderful ending to this trilogy. I love Kane so much in this book. It is, by far, my favorite book in this trilogy. It is fast paced throughout. I was not bored at all.

I admit that it took me a minute to remember how the second book ended when I started this book. Kane and Arwen are separated in the beginning of this book. He is on a mission to unalive his father and she is being held captive by Lazarus. I’m so glad that they weren’t separated for long, though. When they finally get together, it’s very emotional.

I love how it all ended. I would love to see more with some of the side characters, too.

There aren’t many trilogies or series that I can say leave me fully satisfied with how they end, but A Reign of Rose knocked it right out of the park and ticked all my boxes. I promise that all the turmoil you went through with the first two books will be worth the agonizing wait for October’s release. This series has an amazing plot with that delicious enemies to lovers trope that we all adore but with all the twists and turns that will have you craving more and more.

What an end of an era! A Reign of Rose is the final book in The Sacred Stones trilogy, and it does not fail to deliver heart stopping action and twists and turns as the war reaches it's pinnacle. I absolutely adore these characters, and loved seeing their vulnerability and love for one another grow even more in this book. The found family aspect is one of my favorites, and the supporting characters are just as loveable. I think that this series would be perfect for anyone who loves romantasy, or is looking to try a romantasy series for the first time. The author did an amazing job of creating a robust world with interesting magic that is easy to understand and catch on to, and without needing the books to be 800+ pages each.

Thank you so much to Kate Golden and Berkley Publishing for this ARC and gifted copy!
