Thank you @berkleypub for the gifted EARC of A REIGN OF ROSE!

After that cliffhanger of an ending in A PROMISE OF PERIDOT, I immediately requested this one on Netgalley and thankfully the Berkley gods were kind to me and granted me my request.

It’s hard to write about this one without spoiling the first two books so I’ll have to be a bit vague.
I loved this book and thought it was the perfect way to wrap up this trilogy. There are a few loose ends for some of the side characters but it sounds like Kate Golden is planning on writing some additional books set in this world so I’m hoping those questions will be answered in future books. (Kate - please give us a Griffin & Mari book!!!!).

Here are the tropes for this one:
*Masquerade ball
*Dual POV
*Epic battle
*Prophecy fulfillment
*Escape from captivity
*Badass FMC
*Secret softie MMC
*Found family

A REIGN OF ROSE is out on October 8th!

Full transparency, I’ve had the honor of getting this arc a couple of months early. And I DREADED leaving this cozy yet fierce world that Kate has created. Knowing that this was the end of Strong and Softhearted Arwen & Mesmerizing and Lethal Kane, gave me so much pre heartache it’s not even a joke. After the CLIFFHANGER LEFT AT THE END OF BOOK 2, I was scared and excited to see how it would all shake out. Arwen left with Lazarus as Kane slowly pushes himself to madness.

As much as I love Kane, I loved him even more after this book. His perspective could have deteriorated but he perseveres and his thought process never waivers with his beliefs. Same as Arwen gone through so much, doesn’t cause her to become jaded (gem pun intended) and cold.

BUT, the unsung hero of this book is Mari and Arwens relationship,

““That has to be worth something,” Mari murmured. “I have to be worth something.”
“You are worth everything, Mar.””

A Reign of Rose is everything I hoped the ending of the Sacred Stones trilogy would be!

The story picks up shortly after the cliffhanger of the second book, and from there the stakes get higher and higher. The story pacing was absolutely delightful, with action and plot twists moving the story forward, but perfectly balanced with incredible moments of friendship, tenderness and romance. This one will pull at your heartstrings! It's incredible how much these characters have grown throughout the three books while still staying true to those we met in the first book.

Without spoiling, I will just say to trust Kate Golden to give Arwen and Kane the sendoff they deserve, and she does so without sacrificing any of the banter and passion we so love in this series! But we also get to travel more in this book and discover more about the world. And let me tell you, there is so much potential for future spin-offs. Two spinoffs, if I'm being exact. One revolving around a certain commander and a certain witch who need to be locked into a room for a couple hours, and another one about a character you'll meet in this book. You'll know him when you meet him! Hint: blood.

*sigh* Saying goodbye to these characters is virtually impossible, but I'm so grateful for this journey with them. Hopefully we'll get to see them again soon!

I’m speechless.
I honestly don’t know what to say besides this series is grossly underrated.
I’m so incredibly sad it’s over.
I’m super hopeful for a spinoff in the future, though, based on certain character arcs and plot lines that were left open-ended. 👀
However, Arwen and Kane’s story was done perfect justice here.
I really couldn’t have wished for more.

Thank you so much to Berkley Romance, Netgalley, and PRH Audio for providing advanced copies of this! All thoughts and opinions are still my own.

I really enjoyed the first 2 books in this trilogy and was excited to see how it all wrapped up. Unfortunately this was a bit of a slog to get through.

While the action scenes and plot were enjoyable, there was just too much lengthy, descriptive, and often repetitive exposition and internal monologue that slowed everything down.

I thought the wrap up was satisfying without being too clean and tidy. And I would totally read more from this author in the future.

It just wasn't quite the epic conclusion I was looking for with this series.

This was a great conclusion to the sacred stones series. Like with the other two books, Kate Golden managed to weave action and love with a fantasy world that is accessible and interesting. The continued character growth for both Kane and Arwen was impeccable - it’s hard to weave a good character story over 3 books but this trilogy managed just that. It was fast paced and exciting, the romance was beautiful, and Mari and Griffin remain two of the best side characters!

I feel like I just said goodbye to friends who have become family. The ending was beautiful and perfect way to end the trilogy. ARWEN AND KANE will forever be a top couple for me. The book was fantastic. You felt the joy, the pain, the love...all of it. Just when they think things are figured out, they cant catch their luck. This series man...if you're just getting into Romantasy and you're not ready for those big hunker THIS IS PERFECT for you.

A Reign of Rose by Kate Golden🌹🥀
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

a masterpiece. beautiful series. I was not ready for this to end. I waited so long until I picked up my eARC for this book because I genuinely did not want this world to end and be done with. If you need a Romantasy series to read. Pick up this triology please.

The amount of emotions and panic I went through while reading this was a wild few days. I read this so quickly and dealt with so many emotions as with each passing chapter. (I flooded Kate Golden with DMS 😭 I’m sorry Kate for bombarding you with my emotions throughout this journey)
Everything about this was incredible to me. I loved all the action, the storyline, etc. I literally think each book just kept getting better and more ambitious. This being the final one of the triology is sad but it was written so perfectly and done so well.

Kane. I love so dearly. That man is DEVOTED to his woman and the most attentive hundreds year old man I ever seen written. He is such a green forest in my eyes it’s not even funny. I kept just squeeling and in awe of the things he would say and do. Hes everything.

Arwen is such a badass and so strong. I admire her strength, especially because this girl doesn’t get to catch a break in this fucking series and she took it all like the badass she is. I also love her positivity and outlook on life. She’s wonderful.

Mari and Griffin. My favorites. I want a book just about them ( COUGH COUGH KATE PLEASE DO THIS FOR MY SANITY. A SMALL NOVELLA PLEASE). Their banter and tension is just so strong I feel it through the pages.

I will never be able to recover from this series. I think it’s going to put me through a fantasy slump AGAIN and I picked this eARC up for me to start to ready fantasy again but here we are. I’m about to not pick up fantasy for another few months I swear.

Thank you so much Berkley and Kate for the opportunity to get to read this masterpiece before release. I am so thankful I was able to get the opportunity again to be able to read and review for you. Kate I am so proud of your debut trilogy and I will be purchasing every piece of work you create.

I enjoyed A Reign of Rose and thought this was a great ending to The Sacred Stones Trilogy! It had a mix of action, politics, magic, banter and romantic tension that had me really wanting to see how everything was going to wrap up.

Towards the last third/quarter, I found myself a little more invested in the new side characters and Mari and Griffin’s story more than Kane and Arwen’s. So I hope that was setting us up for a few new series!

Thank you so much Berkley and Netgalley for the ARC! A Reign of Rose comes out on October 8!

This was a great ending to this trilogy. I feel like it wrapped up a lot of loose ends and questions that I had while also introducing some new ones that set it up for possibly having a spin-off series which makes me excited. I enjoyed seeing these characters grow and change throughout this series and I’m really going to miss them. I wish we got to see the main characters together a little bit more in this book but it made me appreciate the scenes that they did have together more. If you are looking for a new romantasy series that has an intriguing world, great character development and romance I highly recommend it. Thank you so much Berkley Publishing and Netgalley for sending me an ARC of this book and I can’t wait to see what Kate Golden writes next.

Oh my goodness gracious I LOVED this epic finale of this trilogy so much! And I loved how Kate Golden set it up for a spin-off series in the future! This was everything I wanted plus more. I could not put it down!

This may be one of my absolute favorite series. Wow! I love Arwen and Kane so much.

“It kills me bird, that I cannot promise you any of it. All I can promise you is myself- my love, my respect, my devotion- every day that we have together, and every day and every day that exists beyond then.”

I FINISHED THE TRILOGY!!!
I read all of these books back to back because I was so invested in them. I really enjoyed all of these so much!
The ending of the second book really left you hanging so I was so ready to see what would happen next. This was high stakes and stressful.
I truly think this was a GREAT ending to this story. I did not predict it, and I loved how the author wrapped up this journey.
I love all of these characters but I also really love Acorn. I can’t believe I haven’t mentioned him in my other reviews. He’s so adorable!!!
This book was such a rollercoaster of emotions, honestly, this entire series is.
Arwen is one of my favorite FMCs ever! I love how she cares about others and I just love her attitude about everything.
This had some great romance scenes too. They are just too good together.
It’s hard to write reviews like this because, of course, I can’t spoil this amazing story.
I really think you should read these though! I find fantasy books good for fall, so now is seriously the perfect time. If you read the first two now you will be ready for this one to come out in a few weeks!
This book will be out on October 8th! Only one more month!

Read If You Like:
🥀suspense and drama
🥀fae, dragons, witches, and more!!!
🥀touch her and d!e
🥀main characters being heroes

I was really excited to dive into this book, especially with how A Promise of Peridot left me hanging. Unfortunately, I didn’t love this one as much as I hoped I would. The pacing started off great, then it slowed down and I found myself getting bored. The plot felt all over the place. I did enjoy Kane and Arwen’s character growth in this book, but my favorite part were the side characters, Mari and Griffin. I wanted more of them! I’d definitely read their book if it’s ever coming out.

A Reign of Rose is the final book in this romantasy series. If you like books that are fast paced and have decent world building without being overwhelming, you might like this one! Kane and Arwen both go through so much and I enjoyed their relationship. There were a couple times that I felt like Kate Golden was trying to wrap up all the lose ends in this final book, which I'm happy about but it left me with more questions than answers. Overall, I'd recommend this series to anyone who loves a good fae romance with amazing side characters. Thanks to NetGalley for eARC!

Reign of Rose is the final installment to the Sacred Stones trilogy by bestselling author Kate Golden! Our beloved MCs have to find their way back to one another and garner allies amidst the looming threat of war and a deadly prophecy hanging over their heads. This epic finale is one that will tug at your heartstrings and keep you on the edge of your seat! It’s a heart pounding, sexy, fast paced, beautifully done ending to the viral romantasy series.

I loved this series so much and I’m very sad that it’s over, but I have to admit that this one took me a really long time to get into. But once I hit that 50% mark, whoooo baby it got good!!! They action, the romance, the spice🔥 I’m still so obsessed with Kane. Like, top tier boyfriend and I fear I am going to miss him so much! And Arwen is such a bad ass!

Hart was hilarious. Literally everything that came out of his mouth had me cracking up. Your honor, I love him🫶🏼

Also…. Kate….. did you set us up for a future book about Mari and Griffin, because if not, I may cry😭 I NEED them like I need air to breathe. The tension is thick between those two.
