Awesome story! Gavin and Sera were a great team. His colleagues were amazing. I now need to read the other books in the series. My only critique is that the ending was abrupt and I wanted more!

I skipped the first couple books of the series, so this is the first for me. It was okay. I liked that it was about a branch of police that you don't usually read about.

Addison Fox’s Threats in the Deep, the third installment in the New York Harbor Patrol series, delivers a captivating blend of romance and suspense. Despite being part of an ongoing series, this book stands well on its own, making it accessible to new readers like myself.

The story kicks off with an intriguing twist: Gavin and Sera, who shared a fleeting but memorable New Year’s Eve encounter, have been unable to forget each other. The stakes rise when Sera discovers she’s pregnant and struggles with how to locate Gavin to share the news. As an assistant district attorney, Sera is thrust into a high-stakes task force involving the police, Coast Guard, and federal agencies—a significant career opportunity that also brings her face-to-face with Gavin, now a diver with the NYPD's Harbor Unit.

The reunion is anything but smooth, as both characters grapple with unresolved feelings and new challenges. Fox expertly weaves together a gripping narrative that balances romantic tension with the thrill of suspense, all while exploring complex themes of responsibility and reconciliation.

If you enjoy stories that mix heartfelt romance with high-stakes drama, Threats in the Deep is a highly recommended read.

Threats In the Deep is a romance with a little bit of suspense in the background. The romance doesn't move quickly instead they get to know each other as they work together on a task force. The story moves long until the very end where everything is wrapped up in a nice little bow.

The story doesn't standout but its also work a quick read.

Assistant district attorney Sera Forte spent a night together with NYPD diver Gavin with unexpected consequences. Unsure of how to contact him they eventually find themselves paired up on a task force to solve the most recent crimes. It feels like the person behind this case seems to have it out for those closest to them on the force that it's starting to feel personal and it feels like Sera and her unborn child is as risk. I really enjoyed following along with this book there was plenty going on. Clearly that attraction the two also spent together didn't go away and liked seeing how thing progressed with how they felt about one another. Overall pretty good book I really enjoyed it.

When I read the blurb for this title, what could be better than a romantic suspense with a dash of surprise baby? There was plenty here to provide the romance and the suspense and that's why I liked it.

Sera finds out she's preggers after a single night Gavin and doesn't even know how to get in touch with him to tell him the good news. Good thing they get put on a task force together! They then must navigate their news and getting to know each other before they can even talk about what they are going to do about the baby.

The romance is sweet and adult -- there's no rush to jump back into bed (not that they wouldn't mind!) and they have to get to know each other against a backdrop of an illegal gun operation that is much closer to everyone on the team than they suspect. While things get wrapped up fairly quickly at the end, I did like how Gavin and Sera work the case together. There's a really nice relationship thing going on here between the main characters, which I loved. It's why I like these mini romantic suspense series from Harlequin. They are very satisfying when it comes to both elements.

Overall, a suspenseful and romantic story that starts out a bit slow, but picks up nicely as the pages turn. It can be read standalone, but one thing I also like about these series -- I now want to go back and read the rest!

Threats in the Deep by Addison Fox, book three in the New York Harbor Patrol series, is a good mixture of romance and suspense. Gavin and Sera had a one night stand on New Year's Eve, exchanging only first names and small details about who they were. Neither has been able to forget the other and now Sera is pregnant; with no idea how to find him to tell him. Sera, an assistant district attorney, is invited to participate in a special task force with the police department, Coast Guard, and several federal agencies. It's a good career move and an intriguing opportunity. The last thing she expected was to encounter Gavin, the father of her baby. Gavin, a diver with the NYPD's Harbor Unit, was equally surprised to see Sera. The two of them had a lot of things to work through. They both have complicated family histories that make it difficult to get close to others, but they have to learn to trust each other since there is an unexpected baby on the way. I liked their connection and how Gavin's interest in her and her work made Sera feel good. Also, the way they talked together and how sensitive they were to each other's moods. Sera's confession of her pregnancy might have shocked Gavin, but he quickly embraced the idea. I enjoyed seeing how their time together brought them closer and helped them overcome their hesitation.

The discovery of a weapons cache by the diving team provided a suspenseful situation that kept me hooked from start to finish. Gavin and Sera's teamwork was amazing, as was the involvement of the other Harbor team members. The escalating danger by the person behind the guns had everyone on edge, and intensified with the team, and their families, coming under attack A twist at the end brings insight and danger to Sera, with a final confrontation that had me on the edge of my seat.

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

The story combines romance and suspense, revolving around Gavin and Sera, who shared an anonymous New Year's Eve and haven't forgotten each other since. Sera, now pregnant, doesn't know how to find Gavin. She is an assistant district attorney who joins a special task force, only to unexpectedly encounter Gavin, a diver with the NYPD's Harbor Unit. Their initial meeting is awkward, but they soon reconnect and develop a deeper relationship. Sera's pregnancy shocks Gavin, but he quickly embraces it. Both are initially hesitant to admit their strong feelings but grow closer over time. The suspense element involves a case with a weapons cache and escalating danger, keeping the story engaging. The team's efforts and the final confrontation add to the story's intensity and excitement.

Interesting story

This book gives the reader a look inside the NYPD Harbor Patrol, and the divers/support teams who staff the unit. It is the 3rd book in the series, but I didn't feel lost at all.

The main characters, Gavin and Sera, had a one night stand on New Year's Eve, but haven't seen each other since. Both have thought of the other, but with no last names there was no way to track each other down, until one day, Gavin walks into a conference room and sees Sera.

The two of them definitely had a lot to work through. They both have complicated family histories that make it difficult to get close to others, but they have to learn to trust each other since there is an unexpected baby on the way. I appreciate the way that they work through their issues and plan for the best life for the baby, without assuming a future. This book was mostly clean, moved quickly and kept me engaged.

Thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this book, but my opinions are my own.

Good mix of romance and suspense. Gavin and Sera spent an unforgettable but anonymous New Year's Eve, exchanging only first names and small details about who they were. Neither has been able to forget the other. Sera is pregnant and has no idea how to find him to tell him.

As the story opens, Sera, an assistant district attorney, is invited to participate in a special task force with the police department, Coast Guard, and several federal agencies. It's a good career move and an intriguing opportunity. The last thing she expected was to encounter Gavin, the father of her baby. Gavin, a diver with the NYPD's Harbor Unit, was equally surprised to see Sera. Their first meeting was awkward, with Gavin being a bit of a jerk and Sera unsure how to deal with him.

I enjoyed the development of the relationship between Gavin and Sera. Though it got off to a slightly rough start, they didn't take long to get to know each other. I liked that Sera trusted her instincts and realized Gavin's attitude wasn't like him. I liked their connection and how Gavin's interest in her and her work made Sera feel good. I liked how easily they talked together and how sensitive they were to each other's moods. Sera's confession of her pregnancy shocked Gavin, but he quickly embraced the idea. The obstacle they face is that each is freaked out about the intensity of their emotions and hesitant to admit them. I enjoyed seeing how their time together brought them closer and helped them overcome their hesitation.

The suspense of the story kept me hooked from start to finish. I was intrigued by the diving aspect of the case and the discovery of the weapons cache. Gavin and Sera's teamwork was terrific, and I loved the involvement of the other Harbor team members. The escalating danger caused by the person behind the guns had everyone on edge, and it intensified when the team came under attack. I could feel their frustration as lead after lead turned into dead ends. A twist at the end brings insight and danger to Sera, with a final confrontation that had me on the edge of my seat.

This is the first of this series I have read, but I will definitely read the others.

This was my first experience with the New York Harbor Patrol. I am eager to read more. I enjoyed getting to know the couple and the patrol group and their significant others. Some exciting moments. Thanks to the publisher for providing a copy via NetGalley. My review is voluntary.

I enjoyed this fast paced romantic suspense. I loved both the romance and the suspense equally. I finished this one in one day because I just had to find out what happened.

This is a Romantic Suspense, and this is the third book in the New York Harbor Patrol series. I have read the first book in this series before picking up this book. This book was slow to get going, and it took me a little bit to connect to the characters and the story. I just wanted a faster moving story and some more action. I received an ARC of this book. This review is my own honest opinion about the book like all my reviews are.
