Though the first book in the series was a bit rough, the second book was far better. This third and final book easily surpassed both of them. These are very cerebral books, and although there is a lot of explanation and pausing to take stock of each situation, I enjoyed being so firmly inside the main character's head. This particular book was extremely suspenseful and hard to put down, and there were enough major twists in the last third of the book that I found I wasn't entirely sure how it was going to end -- and I love that feeling. I definitely recommend this series, if only so you can read its conclusion.
