Wow just as amazing as book one,I thought was going one way and them bam it went a different way. Loved this book she did not disappoint
I didn’t like this book as much as the first one. I didn’t like Hannah’s character as much as I thought I would. I liked the unique idea of having the child’s point of view throughout the book but it was also really heartbreaking to see her being lied to and made to feel so sad and scared. I loved the wild and crazy ending. So many twists and turns there. Overall a good book, just personally wasn’t my favorite. I’d rate it 3.5 stars. Thank you to NetGalley for my copy!
Gripping and heartbreaking with an undercurrent of unease running through it. Half can’t bear to read/half can’t bear to put it down. It’s marvellous - so tautly plotted and don’t see the twists coming! Will be a smash hit!

The Missing Bridesmaid by L.G. Davis is Book 2 in the Broken Vows series. This book can easily be read as stand-alone as there is not a massive link between the first and second book, only the same characters.
I loved how the first book ended and I had completely different expectations for this book.
There are some good twists at the end but the main twist is easy to guess so early. I would say this is more like a domestic thriller or family drama.
The way the first book ended does not go together with the second book timeline as no one would wait 6 years for revenge. At the end of the first book, Brynn was ready to act, she was ready to take things into her own hands... so 6 years of waiting didn't make sense.
I was sad that there wasn't more about Brynn as she was an interesting character.
Nathan is ready to get married... again. His first wedding fell apart but led him to Hannah. Now they are family to their daughter Lennie and her imaginary friend Whisper. Hannah waited for this day forever and she is worried that something will go wrong. When Nathan lost his father the loss hit him harder than he expected and things started to go downhill!
Can they survive all the challenges life throws at them? Who can they trust and who is the real enemy?
I liked this book but as stand-alone as this is Nathan and Hannah's story.
Thank you Bookouture and NetGalley for this copy!
I really enjoyed this. Ot had suspense, twists and turns. The multiple povs worked well but I wasn't keen on the child's narrative. Or the child to be fair. It was definitely different though and I really enjoyed it
This series is utterly gripping in every way possible. I loved the different POVs and seeing things through Lennie’s eyes as well as Hannah’s. I let out a breath I didn’t know I was holding once the story concluded. I felt satisfied but I’m eager to see what happens next in Liar Liar. Great book overall!
Brilliant book from start to finish. Hannah and Nathan are soon to be married and their daughter can't wait to be a bridesmaid. As their big day is getting closer their daughter withdraws from her daddy and starts saying that he hurt her. It doesn't help that whisper their daughters imaginary friend is telling her things about her daddy.
Someone linked to both their past wants revenge and will do anything to drive them apart even using their daughter against them.
Great plot, I enjoyed the first book and can't wait to read the next instalment.
Very good book. Twisty and suspenseful and I got my questions answered that left me hanging in the first book.
Wow, I really enjoyed this book. It was just as good as the first. Many twists and it was a great book.
Thanks Bookouture and Netgalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own and isn't influenced by anyone else
This was a fun book with a lot of brilliant ideas. I loved reading chapters that were from Lennie’s point of view. I loved how it revealed certain things that you wouldn’t otherwise get without it being seen from her eyes. I was just a little bit disappointed in the end. The build-up that reached its peak toward the end of the book was a little anti climactic. It just kind of seemed to fizzle out a bit and didn’t put a lot of the brilliance from throughout the book to the best use and resolution. Overall it was a very good and entertaining book. I just wanted a little more. Thank you #netgalley and #bookouture for the opportunity to read this arc!
I loved the first one and wow I loved this one even more. I liked how we got a different perspective and I enjoyed the child’s perspective it was different to what is usually done. It had me guessing throughout with many twists and turns it was definitely an edge of your seat thriller. I will definitely be recommending this amazing book to everyone. Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for my advanced copy.
I was lucky enough to receive an ARC copy of this book with Netgalley. This is the 2nd book to the series “Broken Vows.” I did enjoy this book, although I felt like a lot of it dragged on. And, I did feel like it was pretty predictable.
But I am a huge fan of LG Davis and all of her books so I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this series.
Thank you Bookouture and NetGalley for an early copy of The Missing Bridesmaid. I am soooooo happy this series is (hopefully) done. Nothing like the Nanny series. Lennie was a brat and not a good character at all to like. I am sooo sorry to say don’t waste your time on this series.
A decent thriller but I wasn't a huge fan of the child's narrative. The end did surprise me though!
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for allowing me to read this arc in exchange for an honest review!
that. was. INSANEEEEE. the ending was so unexpected! the only thing i don’t like was that there was so many “not after what we did” hints dropped it got kind of annoying after the second or third time. it felt like it dragged a good bit but i was able to get around that.
This is the 2nd in a series, I loved the first one so was eager to get into this one. It wasn’t as captivating as the first one, but it was still a good read overall.
Wow this was even better than the first one in the series. I was totally engrossed
Thank you so much Bookouture and Netgalley for the opportunity to review
Unable to put down. Def 5 stars from me
I was so disappointed after reading the 'Woman at my Wedding' which was absolutely brilliant.
The storyline was long winded, dull, boring and repetitive I was glad when I had got to the end.
Thank you to Netgalley and Bookouture for this ARC I just wish I could have enjoyed it more.
I received an arc copy of this book from Net Galley in exchange for my honest opinion of it. I did not enjoy this book as much as the first one.i felt like it did not become a thriller until the last 20 percent of the book. Before that it was very slow moving and very repetitive. I was so tired of the little girl constantly saying my daddy doesn't love me. I think you need to read the first book to get the whole story. I normally like this author but this one was not a hit for me and I found myself skimming through parts.
This was part two of a series, and it was just as great as the first book! It had me guessing the entire time, not knowing how everything would play out. The ending was fantastic! Lots of twists and turns that I hadn't expected. I haven't been disappointed with anything that I've read by this author so far, and I can't wait to read more of hers!
