Overall, it is a cute story that had its own charm which I genuinely enjoyed, but this one won’t be a love for a lifetime book.
I received a free copy from NetGalley. People are dying at the hospital and now his job is on the line. So who is behind the deaths if he isn't? When given choices he always seems to pick the wrong one that makes things worse instead of better. A little long sometimes on the medical jargon when it didn't really need to be.
Having a surgeon write a book about a hospital allows the reader to know the medical aspects were accurate. I found the story interesting, characters were well developed and the look at the hospital politics just added to the punch of the story line
Could not finish this book. Tried to read this a couple of years ago and tried again with the same result. I don’t need to like the main character but I need to at least want them to succeed by the end of the book and I found myself feeling like he didn’t deserve to have a positive ending. I was obsessed with Robin Cook for a while so I had high hopes that I would get sucked into this book too. Just didn’t happen for me.
Outstanding. An amazing debut - taut, tense and kept me reading right until the very end.
