This is a real eye opener of growing up in the 70s / 80s in Australia.
What she put her body and family through to enable her to carry on with Ballet.
An enjoyable read.

I enjoyed reading this book for many reasons. It was a trip down nostalgia lane with a lot of indirectly relatable moments. There was humorous moments throughout, juxtaposing the dark and emotional topics that are common in an adolescent's life. Learning, confusion, awkwardness, passion, young lust, parenthood, depression and finding self authenticity are common subjects in this book. The common trials of life that a child and adolescent face are told as the authors version is highlighted throughout, ensuring she leaves us on a happy note by the time the book is done.
