An easy read and a who-done-it that you just have to finish to find out if your suspicions are true.

A tad predictable but an enjoying read nethertheless. I'll look out for more books by Teague.

I might have a new favourite series. The Killing Circle is book 4 in a series I hadn't read before. I will be reading the rest of it ASAP. I couldn't put this book down. Twists and turns like crazy. I loved it.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for my copy of this book.

When a teenager is found dead during the school day at his school, DI Hollie Turner and her team investigate. It appears Kyle was beaten up and stabbed, the burning question is why.

I am really enjoying this series. This book was excellent, if a little scary with respect to the technology! The teenagers were written well and were very real. I really like Hollie, she’s perfectly imperfect and I think I’d like her as a boss. Her team are all so different but such good team players. The story was fast paced but the little details were teased out. A page turner for sure. Roll on book 5!

A 17 year old student is found dead in a school outbuilding.
Detective Hollie Turner and her crack team have to find the culprit - or culprits and the reason why he was beaten.
The school has had a problem with bullies in the past, is this one of the instances of bullying?
They uncover a lot more than they expected.

Another absolutely gripping read from Paul J Teague!
I love the way Hollie is so dedicated to her work, and how talented her team are.
The characters are developed, and the pace of the book is fast and intense.

Focusing on the easy access young people have to social media, the internet and how easily they find ways around parental controls.

I highly recommend this book to those who love a good police procedural with a strong female lead.

Thanks to Netgalley and Storm Publishing for the opportunity to read this book.

This book was a stark reminder of the reality of the good, the bad and the ugly that can come from technology in this day and age.

I liked how we got to peek into the victim's life and frame of mind through his journal entries as the book went on, even though our detective friends may not have been fully caught up yet. This was so well done, I really enjoyed it.

The characters were well written, well developed and interesting. The school setting was intriguing and I liked how the characters navigated such a massive undertaking of evidence, potential witnesses and possible suspects.

Although this book is part of a series, I read it as a standalone. I didn't feel lost at any point and feel I could go back and read the other books in the series, as nothing was spoiled from the previous books.

All in all I really enjoyed this book and I'll be keeping my eyes peeled for more Detective Hollie Turner books in the future.

This talented author has written a suspenseful novel. Intrigue and mystery…secrets and red herrings. Realistic characters keep the story moving quickly. Don’t try to guess the ending too early. It is not easily done. Thanks Netgalley.

Oh my goodness, what a good book. The Killing Circle: A totally gripping and addictive crime thriller (Detective Hollie Turner Book 4) by Paul J. Teague is quite a good read.

Someone at Crestwell Academy masterminded a sinister circle to silence a student, Kyle, and his camera forever. With the school on lockdown, the killer still on the loose, and frantic parents demanding answers at the gates, Detective Hollie Turner is in a race against time to solve the case, but can she decipher the killer's taunting message and uncover their secrets before another life is taken?

The teenagers were so frustrating at times when they were being interviewed, but I may have been like that when I was their age.

The Killing Circle is a solid mystery with very well-developed characters. I liked the relationships that the team had with each other.

I look forward to more in this series. I would recommend this book and this author. A very good book.

A brilliant police procedural with a devastating twist. The focus on social media and modern technology makes this terrifyingly eye opening. As ever, the team of characters is engaging and seeing Hollie’s own life and family as it develops is an interesting by-play to the main plot line. I think the author did an amazing job of capturing the different classes and life experiences involved in this and am sure they will leave many parents sleepless as they wonder exactly what their children are up to on line,

This is the 4th book in the series and I have read the previous three and enjoyed them so this book had alot to live up to. And boy did it.

I could not put it down. I wasn't hooked from the first page to the last.

DI Hollie Turner and her team are called in to investigate the murder of sixth former Kyle Wilson whose body has been discovered in an outbuilding in the grounds of his school, Crestwell Academy. From the outset the team have to wade through the lies and deceits of Kyle’s classmates, and the obvious aggravation that some of the parents bring to the case.

This is the fourth book in the DI Turner series, and I think the best so far. Sadly I gave the first book a scathing review, but there were improvements in book two and by book three I was well and truly hooked!

Nice that there was no massive cliffhanger in this book like the first two, makes for much more exciting reading.

Roll on the next case please.

Thank you NetGalley and Storm.

*4.5 stars ✨

I became a fan of Teague’s last year with the Hollie Turner series. This is the 4th installment and was almost as good as the first three. Hollie is back when the body of a 17 year old is found dead at school. As the sad and devastating circumstances of his death get revealed, Hollie and her team are finding it difficult to get answers. They are nothing if not persistent though. I enjoyed seeing them in action again and can’t wait for another riveting story.

One school. A killer hiding in plain sight. 72 hours to uncover the truth. Tuesday 13:14pm – Seventeen-year-old student Kyle Wilson is lying in the foetal position in a derelict school outbuilding. As Detective Hollie Turner studies the boy’s lifeless body, pushing back the tears pooling in her eyes, one question plays over in her mind. Who would want this teenage kid dead?!

This is such a gripping thriller. It’s fraught with tension, intrigue and tons of teenage angst. It’s a heart wrenching subject. It’s a prime example of how technology can cause deadly consequences. I was glued to the pages. It’s a high stung thriller that took my breath away. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced free copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. I received a copy from the publisher through NetGalley.
