Having recently stopped in Sausalito on our holiday I was tempted by this book and its title. This is an interesting read and I enjoyed the story and the fact it is inspired by events that happened. I'm still up in the air with the writing style but I liked the characters and the action packed pages. The mystery and murder was impelling as well so it kept me reading.

Overall a good book, very entertaining and intriguing as I never knew something like this had happened. 3 1/2 star from me.

Interesting look at the NorCal counter-culture. Houseboats just happen to be the vehicle, but the attitude has permeated the region for years. Well-written - almost like a document.
