I couldn't get into this one. The writing was subpar and I found my mind wandering too much. The characters seemed very one dimensional and I couldn't understand why they would stay friends.

If you've ever experienced sorority life, you know there are definitely some highs and lows with your sisters! I was really looking forward to diving into this book, especially since it features African American characters. However, I found that the story didn't quite match my expectations. It took a while for the plot to really get going, and I wasn't immediately drawn to the first characters introduced, which made it hard for me to connect with them. By the time things started to pick up, I was already feeling a bit burned out. I do however believe the story will appeal to others Sadly, this one just wasn't for me!

Thanks to Netgalley and publisher for allowing me to review.

I truly wanted to enjoy this book. As someone who has experienced life in a sorority, I approached the story with the hope of engaging with some dynamic and compelling sisterhood narratives. Unfortunately, the execution left much to be desired. The character storylines needed to be introduced much earlier; doing so would have drawn readers in and fostered emotional investment. Instead, I found myself detached, unable to root for any of the characters.

Moreover, the pacing felt sluggish, and I believe the book could have been significantly tightened—perhaps by at least a hundred pages. The central mystery, rather than weaving a web of intrigue, was disappointingly predictable; the identity of the killer was evident far too soon. While I recognize that these authors are still finding their footing, and I would certainly be open to exploring their future works, this particular offering did not resonate with me. This is a 2 for me. Thank you NetGalley for the ARC.

As we celebrate the month of October, for some it means it's Halloween but for the readers in the world - it can mean two things Spooktober where you read Spooky thrillers/horror books or Pucktober where you read Ice Hockey Reads. As a mood reader, I am aiming to do a bit of both and mix it up. One of my favorite settings and themes for books is college fiction and sororities, which is why Amber and Danielle Brown's book grabbed my interest. This book is set on the 10th anniversary of their sorority sister's murder "Lupe". Ten years ago, Priscilla came home to find Lupe at the bottom of the stairs dead and her other sorority sisters and Travis around the body all covered in blood. The other girls claimed that Travis pushed her down the stairs. Priscilla went along with it and the girls' testimony put Travis behind bars despite his protests of innocence. Now on the tenth anniversary, Travis has been set free on a technicality. On the night of the tenth-anniversary party, a lot of alcohol was flowing and the next morning Priscilla woke up with a bump on her head and no memory of what had happened that night, and her sorority sister Zoe had vanished without a trace. What has happened to Zoe and where is she? A few days later, her body turns up dead with a threatening note, and then Val - another sister gets attacked. Is Travis hunting down the girls one by one to get revenge or is someone setting Travis up, the same way they did ten years ago before Priscilla walked in? Find out in this past/present timeline thriller set within a black sisterhood and friendship circle. A perfect addition for your Spooktober reads.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with a free copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are my own.
I was granted access to this book as a member of the Hive from Harlequin

I must say that I was both nervous and excited to read this book. I had mixed feelings about Amber and Danielle's freshman novel (I thought it was spicier than it needed to be for a thriller) and I wasn't sure if I was going to enjoy this book or not. I must say, I liked this book better than their first even with the heavy subject matter.

This book is actually a little similar to "Society of Lies" which was published in October 2024, and those books would be certainly interesting to read back to back. And while this book wasn't my favorite book of 2024, I still enjoyed it better than Amber and Danielle Brown's first book, and therefore I will most likely want to read their next book when it comes out.
Many thanks again to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to review this book.

This book is full of twists and turns till the very end. It was a bit hard to get into because of all of the characters - both tracking them and flipping between current day and the past but once I got a hang of that, it was a great book. Lots of layers and storylines.

Thank you to the publisher & NetGalley for the ARC!

I will keep this brief as I only read approximately 20% of the book. I couldn't get past the writing, this is a poorly written book. Details didn't make sense and random analogies were made that were unnecessary and distracting.

Priscilla (Prissy) and her five Zeta sorority sisters have stayed good friends since their college days and now Prissy is hosting a huge reunion for many of the other women who attended their university. The main reason for the reunion is a special tribute to their other beloved sister (Lupe) who lost her life in a fatal push down the stairs by a young man who was obsessed with Lupe and was seen covered in blood fleeing their sorority house.

All the women now have careers and have financially done very well for themselves and live very high end life styles but not without many problems and secrets that will cause anger, mistrust, jealousy and contempt among the women. When after the night of the reunion one of the sisters goes missing and strange events start to follow them especially Prissy, she knows she must get to the bottom of why someone seems to be stalking all the women, and then another of the sisters is found dead although the police don't think the events are related except all the sisters and their husbands are probable suspects even though Prissy fears someone is out to destroy all the sisters who were home years ago on the night their beloved Lupe was murdered.

This was such an entertaining and fun novel that never had a boring moment and also had plenty of suspenseful twists and turns. A few of the women were very annoying and obnoxious yet that made the book more enjoyable. (Characters one loves to hate!) The girls were so materialistic and self-centered and quite the drama queens that it was hard to swallow sometimes,
although I'm sure this was the effect the authors were looking for and it was laughable at times unless I was rolling my eyes at their selfishness but underneath all the facades the sisters did really love one another.
Some parts of the book I really disliked were quite a few of the in your face sex scenes and talk that were pretty crude and unnecessary. There wasn't any type of romance just very descriptive talk and it was a little disappointing for me but I'm sure many readers won't have a problem with it and I guess my gripe was that there was too much of it throughout the book and I wish it could have come down a few notches but that's just my opinion!

The last third of the book took on some serious notes and personal struggles that were unexpected and appreciated. I had a hard time putting this book down because something was always changing and the low-key suspense was hanging at the end of every chapter which I loved. I definitely recommend this fun mystery/thriller to all readers who enjoy fast paced drama queen stories!

I want to thank the publisher "Harlequin Trade Publishing" and Netgalley for the opportunity to read this novel and any thoughts or opinions expressed are unbiased and mine alone!

I have given a rating of 3 1/2 OBSESSIVE STALKING 🌟🌟🌟🌟 STARS!!

Zetas Till We Die is a gripping, high-stakes thriller that keeps readers on the edge of their seats with its fast-paced action and complex characters. The author’s vivid descriptions and authentic dialogue immerse the reader in a world where every decision has life-altering consequences. Overall, it's a compelling, heart-pounding read that leaves a lasting impression.

Interesting story about 5 sorority sisters. Told in dual storylines - past and present. I also liked reading the court transcripts.

The characters were likable but the story was very predictable. I figured out the twist early on. There werent any real thrills, but it did keep my attention. Their first book is still my favorite.

Zetas Till We Die follows 5 sorrity sisters who reconnect after several years in honor of their 6th sorrity sister who tragically died while they were in college.

This was a neat mystery that was pretty entertaining. I liked how the author flased back to the college days to give more insight into the lives of college sorrity sisters. There is the typical camaraderie, arguments and disagreements. One night one of these disagreements will change the whole trajectory of the Zetas lives.

The author did a really good job with displaying what a sisterhood is like and sisters remain loyal to one another. The book was a bit long but overall a solid 4 star read.

Zetas til we die by Amber and Danielle Brown was a fun, interesting, page turning read! I actually really enjoyed this book, and couldn't put it down. The story follows a group of sorority sisters from Arcadia University and their lives after a tragedy that had occurred several years earlier. During a reunion, another tragedy takes place, followed by many more. Lots of twists of turns, sisterhood, friendship, love and everything that makes a good story most enjoyable.

Thank you to Net Galley and the publisher for the early release of Zetas Til We Die by Amber and Danielle Brown. All opinions are my own.

I enjoyed this book. I made the mistake of reading a review before I read it and that made me hesitant to read. However, once I shook that over and read it for myself, I was all in. Several twists and I was able to figure it out, after some anxiety and staying up all night. You know a book is good if you keep telling yourself - just one more chapter! ROFL

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the early release of Zetas Til We Die by Amber and Danielle Brown. All opinions are my own. This was a mediocre thriller that had me intrigued by the synopsis but fell short during the reading experience. I did not really connect with the characters which made it hard for me to connect with the book. This was not bad by any means it just was not very shocking to me. The twists and plots seemed pretty obvious to me. If you are newer to thrillers you will probably enjoy this one more than an avid thriller reader.

The story was good, the dialogue and other bits felt juvenile at times and a little hokey but the concept was good.

One girl from a sorority is found dead at the bottom of the stairs with a boy who’s been allegedly stalking her hovering over her body. The sorority sister, Priscilla, who finds her believes he’s the one to do it and with the help of her sisters, they build a case that gets him convicted for her murder. 10 years later, he is released as the math just ain’t mathin, and as the sorority sisters start getting picked off one by one - Priscilla believes he’s back to get revenge.

This book had potential, it was an easy read - I never felt like i struggled to get through it and enjoyed the past/present/trial POVs. Unfortunately though, overall, it didn’t quite hit the mark for me. For one, it was too long. There was so much unnecessary detail included in this book and I found the brand references, descriptive language, and self-absorbed thoughts of the characters were distracting. It reminded me of “In my dreams I hold a knife” but just because the sisters were just as insufferable as the frat characters in that book - I sometimes don’t know if the authors were intending for their characters to be unlikeable... And then building off this, I just wasn’t invested in the characters - I quite often had to flip back to figure out who was who. Even when characters start getting picked off the FMC is still trying to seduce her husband - it just didn’t seem realistic. There was also other plot holes and parts that didn’t quite add up or seem to fit with the narrative, and this resulted in the ending falling flat for me. There also was some lost opportunities here to make the twists hit home a bit more: for example - husband’s secret didn’t land as he was a side story, the FMC not getting the opportunity to confront the one who was responsible for the initial event was also disappointing.

This is my honest review of the book - thanks for the opportunity to read it from NetGalley.

Zetas Will Die was a twisty turny thriller with some romance. This book kept me entertained until the very end.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this arc in exchange for an honest review.

10 years after the tragic murder of one of her sorority sisters, Lupe, Priscilla is hosting their 10 year reunion when one of the sisters goes missing mysteriously the night of the party. This party also happens to be shortly after the man convicted for Lupa’s murder has been released on a technicality during the original trial. What ensues is the systematic killing and attacks on the sorority sisters while the killer slides under the radar.

This book was okay. I wasn’t overly wowed by it, but I also didn’t dislike it. It’s an adult/new adult book, but the writing style seemed more YA to me which I did feel like hampered my enjoyment. I’m also in general not a fan of sororities (or frats for that matter), and it being brought up that these girls are “sisters for life” when they haven’t all met up in 10 years is just weird to me, especially because they all live in the same area. Like I don’t get how you claim to be sisters and then don’t all hang out together for a decade. I don’t even go 10 days without spending time with my blood related sisters. The plot twists were also fairly predictable and there was a little too much drama coming from this group of grown women, acting like they were still in high school/college.

I will say I did enjoy the dual timeline and the original court proceedings were a great addition for the dual timeline. I liked that main character was a couples therapist while having her own marital problems because it made the character more reliable and real. While the book had a more YA writing style IMO it was very well written.

I was excited for this one based on the blurb! It follows a group of sorority sisters reuniting to remember their murdered friend, but things take a dark turn as they start getting eliminated one by one after the convicted killer is released. Unfortunately, the story felt slow and dragged on too long. The plot was pretty predictable, and there wasn’t much character development. Plus, the secret relationship felt forced and out of place. Overall, it was a standard mystery with standard characters.

This was on my most anticipated read list. The story started off strong. Enjoyed getting to know the characters. Became very involved in their lives. I would have enjoyed the atory more if the story didn't focus on the main character. Or at least make her more likeable. I normally don't have a problem with unlikable main character. However, this was one was too much. By the end of the story, I cared nothing about her. I was more invested in the supporting characters.

Unfortunately, around the last 3rd of the book, I started enjoying the story less. There were too many twists being thrown without you being able to understand what each one felt. Also, the story could have been cut about 50 pages.
