I liked this book however at times it felt like it was all over the place. There were times I had a hard time following. I really liked the plot over all. and the twist and turns were great.
Grabbed this read as I was drawn to the title and the fact that it is about characters in a sorority. Though this book has thriller vibes and leaves a hint of who done it…alongside its dual timelines it was a good 3.5 on the scale.
This is Mean Girls meets a sorority! They are life-long friends, except each of them has their own beef. College was years ago, they have moved one, gotten careers, married, had children... Everything is in the past, right? Nope. One reunion and the past comes rushing back.
While I enjoyed reading this, it didn't captivate me as I'd hoped. I enjoyed the writing and the characters. I have to admit that I got a little confused trying to keep each woman's story in order - I'm not the best with names.
Amber and Danielle Brown brings us to Priscilla and her Zeta Phi Zeta sorority sisters and their upcoming ten year reunion celebrating the life of one of their own whose life was cut short by the hands of a murderer who is being let out due to a technicality. This prompts the sisters to keep the party as scheduled and dedicate it to their lost sister. But when one of them disappears, Priscilla and her sisters must figure out if it has to do with what happened all those years ago. As Priscilla delves deeper, secrets and lies start to unravel and reveal themselves. Can Priscilla decipher between fact and lies before it is too late?
Amber and Danielle Brown brings us the story of sisterhood and questions how far would they go to for each other. They delve into friendship, marriage, and trust. We follow along with Priscilla as she makes her discoveries and opens up more questions to answer.
I have read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. I would like to thank NetGalley and Harlequin Trade Publishing | Graydon House for this privilege.
Thank you NetGalley & Graydon House for an arc of Zetas Till We Die. Amber and Danielle Brown has a new fan! This is the 3rd book I have read from this duo and again not disappointing! They are awesome storytellers and truly know how to keep you invested in the story and the characters. Priscilla and her sorority sisters are back together again after 10 years.....but 10 years ago a fellow sorority sister is killed and the murdered is convicted...but as they are return to each other another one of their sisters goes missing again...AND NOTHING IS WHAT IT MAY SEEMS! This was a good pacing, thrilling, and left me wanting more. There were some cliches about police and micro aggression that annoyed me but it didn't take away from the story. Overall, a great book! 3.5 Stars!
This one wasn't for me. I liked the idea for the storyline, but the writing and dialogue felt a bit unnatural and forced. While the characters were in their 30s, it sounded more like they were in their late teens/early 20s with little chemistry and development - I feel like if some parts of the story were changed to make it more into the YA/NA genre, it would have been a better fit.
Zetas Till We Die by Amber & Danielle Brown combined so many of the things I love- spice, mystery, & continuous twists. The authors do a really good job with the dual timelines in this book & It definitely added to the story. This was a solid 3.5 star read & I will be recommending it to all of my friends.
