The Addition and Subtraction Kindergarten Math Workbook by Naoya Imanishi is a wonderful tool for introducing young learners to the basics of addition and subtraction. The workbook is visually appealing, featuring bright colors and playful illustrations that capture the attention of kids and keep them engaged throughout their learning journey.
The content is well-organized, with a good balance of exercises that gradually increase in difficulty. This pattern is apt for keeping children motivated as they can master the foundational concepts of math. The activities, which range from simple number recognition to more complex addition and subtraction problems, are both fun and educational. this could have been a good exercise mathematical workbook for any school curriculum.
One standout feature is the variety of exercises that go beyond just number problems. There are activities that encourage counting objects, tracing numbers, and even using visual aids like number lines. These diverse activities help reinforce the concepts in different ways, making it easier for children to grasp and retain the material.
While this workbook is excellent overall, the reason for the 4.5✨ rating is that some of the problems towards the end might be a little too challenging for children who are just starting to understand addition and subtraction. These sections may require extra guidance, but with a bit of support, kids will benefit from these more challenging exercises. So, I felt that for one standard class it is bit easy and other bit tough. To make it balance for only one class at a time this should be standardized.
All in all, I highly recommend this workbook to parents and teachers looking for a well-rounded, engaging resource to help their young learners building a strong math foundation for themselves.

I like to use this book for summer work or as an early finisher type book for my students. I do think a lot of the activities in this book are more appropriate for the 2nd half of Kindergarten vs. the beginning. Overall, I appreciated the variety! Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the ARC!

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher.
This was a good book for learning addition and subtraction.

Quick, well illustrated, engaging workbook that my daughter looks forward to doing. A nice resource that isn't so repetitive that she gets bored but does reinforce concepts to help her advance.

This is a great workbook for kids starting kindergarten or even in preschool. I'm homeschooling my kids and am saving this for when he's ready for these equations.

This workbook has a lot of great features. There are basic addition and subtraction problems with graphics to support young minds (ex. Birds flying away and pizza being eaten/removed for subtraction). I also like that there were some pages that just provided encouragement to the student. As a homeschool parent with kindergarten teaching experience, I feel that this workbook would be for a very advanced kindergartener. It may be more well suited for a 1st or 2nd grader as some added practice or maybe as a summer practice after completing kindergarten. It’s definitely too difficult for just entering kindergarten. That being said, I would definitely use this to keep my 1st grader learning in the summer before 2nd grade.

This is a nice workbook! I think some pages could be done independent but others will probably need some assistance. Great variation and colorful pages. Some colors were close together and might cause problems for those who struggle with differentiation. I will purchase this for kindergartener!

As a new homeschool teaching mama I am on the lookout for the perfect books to help my child learn and grow. This book was packed full of fun and engaging activities that helped us as we started to learn. I highly recommend this workbook for use with your little learners. This is perfect as we start as kindergarteners to learn a wide range of concepts and learn to enjoy math. Using the book we are able to go at our own pace, which is so important to us. I love the bright colors and illustrations, and creativity that keep my child interested. I found myself interested in the activities. I can’t wait to find more workbooks from this collection and I will be making them a part of homeschool when we start this fall.

Such a fantastic book! I taught preschool for many years and this book should be done at the end of the year and send home to finish the summer before. Such a cute book and so fun! My preschooler loved it

As a homeschooling mom of four, I’m always looking for new and fun ways to teach. My kids love book work as extra or filler work on school days. This was really fun for my kindergartner! He loved it! Easy to use.

I'm glad I didn't give up when downloading this thing felt impossible. My son and I are enjoying this one! Kindergarten here we come!

A fun colorfully illustrated guide that helps kindergartners learn math skills. Great books like these aid children in gaining math confidence and eventually, helps prepare them for STEM careers. An essential resource!

This is a cute workbook, but we know that academic work of this nature is inappropriate for kindergarten. At this age the focus should be on using materials from the real world, or manipulatives specifically designed to enhance full-body learning. I don't think this workbook offers anything new and it in fact appears to use outdated pedagogy.
