Definitely not my preferred sort of book. For one thing, Romeo and Juliet stories are absolutely overdone. And this particular set-up - the warring families replaced by competing restaurants - is absolutely the most common way to restructure. It's a tired plot and while it attempts to explore the source of the conflict between the families it remains drastically overdramatic and overblown.

This book was requested when I was young and requested more books than I could possibly read. Sadly, I no longer have access to this book and my tastes have changed. Thus I will not be able to give feedback on this title.

Was not able to read this book before it expired. I believe I would have liked it based on the synopsis and the fact that I have loved all of Askew & Helmes’ books.
