This was a really neat book. Probably best for older children but great pictures with lots of details about a creature that many of us may never see.

The Strange Life of an Octopus is an amazing marine science non-fiction read. Kids will get to learn about the strange life of an octopus, its behavior, adaptations, and life cycle.

Excellent introduction to an Octopus' life for children. I think these animals are so special and after reading this book, I think a child will also. It is a great starting point to spark the interest in a young one to further study this fascinating creature.

Thanks to NetGalley and Rosen Publishing Group | Scientific American Educational Publishing for allowing me to read the advance reading copy of this book. My opinion is my own not influenced by receiving the ARC.

This book is broken down into short chapters to explain the life cycle of an octopus. Each chapter includes colorful photos with labels and captions. The wording in the book is simple and straightforward so that a young student can understand. However, correct terminology is used and a glossary is in the back of the book to define unfamiliar words. Each chapter focus is on a fascinating aspect of the octopus life cycle. Children interested in learning about octopi will love this book. It would make a great addition to any level elementary class or library.

Although it is a very quick read, it has a lot of information coupled by beautiful photography.

Nothing I didn't enjoy about this book, except maybe its brevity! ❤️🌹
