I really struggled with this book. I didn't realize that one of the love interests was going to be a youth minister. I didn't really like Marissa, I understand that living the way she did can contribute to being spineless, but even her internal monologue was very whiny. I don't love cheating in what I'm reading. I think it has to be handled well, and that didn't really happen here. Jacob continued to profess his love for Marissa, but he never stood up for her or even told her how he felt before she got married. Honestly as a former fundie kid, this was just really triggering in all the worst ways. I'm giving it 3 stars, because I think someone without my background might enjoy it.

DNF. I stopped reading at 20%. This book was not for me as I could not become interested in the story line.

This book was requested when I was young and requested more books than I could possibly read. Sadly, I no longer have access to this book and my tastes have changed. Thus I will not be able to give feedback on this title.

I don't know if this is some type of Christian book or not, but it really wasn't what I was expecting from the blurb and/or the cover. By the 60% mark I was already skimming through most parts and hoping for an end to the madness. I don't know if it was just me, but most of the characters were horrible human beings and I just couldn't get over the whole cheating bit. It's just not something I want to read about.
