Young teenagers are on the run and end up in the wilderness and they’re all arguing and fighting amongst themselves. All of them were damaged emotionally and they’re scared of the future. It’s a SciFi YA that does have some trigger warnings and some bad language but it stays PG for the most part if you’re wondering.
The entire story takes place basically with them already in the woods and I got to know each character here and their motivations. Each one will be challenged in different ways and I thought the author did a good job explaining the place. The end had some twists that were surprising and I feel like it will really take off with book 2.

I’m sorry to say, this book just wasn’t for me. I made it about 15% into it before I just had to let it go. Some subject/verb agreement mistakes were prevalent, as well as just some plot into that didn’t make sense to me. Maybe it gets better, maybe not. But if I’m struggling 15% in, I need to lay it down. Thank you for the opportunity to read it early. Perhaps I will revisit another time.
