I really liked the premise of the novel and the writing. However it fell a bit short in grabbing my attention. The characters were one dimensional and I dnd't care about any of them
This book was poetic justice at its finest. Collecting a woman like a prized possession or in this case butterfly. The most beautiful things must be kept a secret until those beautiful things are no longer beautiful to you.
This book was unexpected at each page of events. I enjoyed the perspectives read to us by each characters mind.
Was Cass really any better than who Ted is?
To each there own. Pretty things must survive and those who harm pretty things or valuable items and do not want the world to know are just as bad as those with secrets. The characters in this book hold many of those.
This was a very surprising and exhilarating read overall. The pace kept me excited and kept me hooked throughout.
I enjoyed this book. It was short, fast paced, and gripping. The suspense building was executed well, as I found myself furiously flipping pages well into the night, anxious to know what was going to happen. This book definitely kept my interest, and I was entertained the whole way through. I didn't like any of the characters, but I feel that was the author's intent. Even still, it was hard to find someone that I was rooting for. Many times, that makes my reading more enjoyable. I found myself reading to discover who would make it to the end of the book. There were really good twists and turns throughout.
