I could not get into the book as I wished to. It did not pull me in and make me interested. The writing was dry. and the romance was not enough to get me.

I enjoyed reading about Venice in the 16 century. You can tell that a lot of research went into the writing of this book. I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys historical fiction.
