Whoever is responsible for selecting the excerpts for Buzz Books is on top of it - WELL DONE! I'll read anything with Jami Attenberg's name on it, but I was also thrilled with every other selection in here, all excerpts from upcoming releases (which, at the time of this writing, have now moved into "recently released" status). I'm terribly late with this review, but I wanted to leave one anyway to mention the fine curation, and to express gratitude to Netgalley once again for making it available to me - especially since the Netgalley version includes links to any available galleys of the full book!

I found the compilation of upcoming fiction titles in *Buzz Books 2024: Fall/Winter* to be incredibly helpful! The Buzz Books present book lovers like me the opportunity to have an inside look at 50 of the buzziest forthcoming titles, making it easier for me to decide which titles I want to add to my Goodreads. The variety is impressive, and I appreciate how it includes both debut and established authors across diverse characters, relationships, and subgenres. The excerpts help to provide a clearer understanding of each title and help create a buzzy anticipation for that upcoming release!

For fellow book lovers, you can grab your copy of *Buzz Books 2024: Fall/Winter* at buzz.publishersmarketplace.com.

This guide has introduced me to several exciting titles I wasn't aware of—just what I needed to expand my TBR! A big thank you to NetGalley and Publishers Lunch for this advanced copy. While the ARC is a gift, my reviews are solely based on my own opinions, and I’m under no obligation to any company or individual to post. #NetGalley #BuzzBooks2024FallWinter #BuzzBooks2024

Good account of forthcoming books that whet my appetite for the autumn/winter season. I would probably download one of these again as it felt like a fun shopping experience

There was such an awesome variety of book excerpts in this! Obviously, not all were “for me”, but I found several that I am looking forward to reading! I love being able to read these excerpts and then have a direct link to the netgalley page for the full version! Some of the links were even “read now”. Thanks Netgalley for this wonderful “sampler “

I live for these book previews. It is like browsing Goodreads or your local book store but all in on thoughtfully curated "book." My TBR list has now grown immensely.

I really enjoy perusing through the lists of what's coming available. In particular, looking at debut authors inspires me. My most anticipated read will be Dava Sobel's book on Marie Curie - "The Elements of Marie Curie: How the Glow of Radium Lit a Path for Women in Science." Thanks NetGalley and Publishers Lunch or Buzz Books 2024: Fall/Winter

It's a great idea to have a taster of books before choosing the ones you would like to read. I enjoyed reading the different stories and the different writing styles were more noticeable when reading other authors' extracts.
I did choose a few to read and look forward to writing my review.

In this collection, a few noteworthy titles are highlighted, samples of what is to come of new books in Fall/Winter 2024. There are 4 sections: Fiction, Debut, Non-Fiction, and Young Adult. Each section contains several very interesting titles which I cannot review all here but what follows is a miniscule sentence on a book from each section previously mentioned. Part 1-Fiction, we have Entitlement by Rumaan Alam, a novel about money and morality and Old Soul by Susan Barker, part horror, part Western, part thriller. Part 2-Debut, you’ll find the speculative novel, Sky Full of Elephants, by Cebo Campbell, about a world where white people no longer exist. In Part 3-Non-fiction, we have a memoir of a dirt-poor singer-song writer, Neko Case, The Harder I Fight the More I Love You: a Memoir. There is the story of Kari Leibowitz, How to Winter, who suffered from a circadian rhythm disorder. In Part 4-Young Adult fiction, thirteen-year-old Sylvia Doe has lived nearly her whole life as an orphan and one day discovers strange and wondrous things floating in the river, Sylvia Doe and the 100-year Flood by Robert Beatty. Lastly, Kwame Mbalia writes a magic school fantasy, Jax Freeman and the Phantom Shriek. I have not really done justice to this collection where you will find titles by authors such as Haruki Murakami, Louise Erdrich, V.C. Andrews, David Baldacci, Robin Cook, Fiona Davis, Orhan Pamuk, Deepak Chopra, Dava Sobel, and so many, many, more.

I LOVE The Buzz Books series from Publishers Lunch! Thank you so much for the inside scoop on what will be big in the coming season, and especially for the generous excerpts. The Buzz Books download always informs my purchasing decisions, reader’s advisory, and “TBR” list for the Pennsylvania Young Reader’s Choice Award Committee! I especially love to peruse the Buzz Books for potential crossover titles that will be popular with faculty members. This season I am especially excited to start reading Old Soul by Susan Barker and Old Wounds by Logan-Ashley Kisner. Many thanks, and I look forward to future Buzz Books Compilations!

What a great idea, this gives you a taster of lots of different authors some known to me some brand new and it’s the perfect way to sample someone’s writing style and get an idea of if you want to then read the book or more from the author.
Highly recommended for everyone to have a look through, you just might find your next favourite book/author.
Thank you Net Galley
