a great book to get some good looks into some of the new books coming! I liked how there is a description and then an excerpt from which you can tell a good amount about the book without it being to long or to foreshadowing about the whole story!

This is a great sampling of upcoming fall books. It’s laid out by genre and very easy to navigate. So many great things on the way and it’s helpful to have information about so many.

I discovered a few books I will be reading that I hadn’t heard of before. I added them to TBR.

I look forward to these publications twice a year to bring me current on the latest up and coming books arriving in the near future. Convenient links to request advanced readers copies of the books is a very nice option. I always end up with a minimum of ten new books added to my TBR list with each publication. This is a much valued publication keep it coming!!

Always a great preview of things to come and an excellent starting point for your TBR list for the year! For me, the most anticipated highlight was Jean Hanff Korelitz's follow-up to The Plot, The Sequel, and it did not disappoint! I also discovered some great literary offerings from other unexpected and unknown (to me) authors that I will now request in NetGalley. I look forward to this edition every year!

While I love that it introduces me multiple books and new authors I may not have come across otherwise, this book is lacking categories with each excerpt, and only lumps together books together by main categories (see TOC list below) that provide no insight into the genre, theme or trope.

TOC groups books by fiction, debut, non-fiction and young adult. After the TOC, is a list (without links) groups books by:
- Fiction: Notables, Highly Anticipated, Emerging
- Debut
- Commercial
- Non-fiction: Essays, Criticism and more; Biography & Memoir; Politics and Current Events; Social Issues; History & Crime; Business, Science & Technology.

Great collection of incoming books to look out for. Very well curated with so many interesting reads, especially of debut authors.

This is such a god-sent gift to readers! By providing excerpts, it helps the reader know if a particular book/ author's writing style is to their liking. The option to immediately request/wish for the book from NetGalley is the cherry on the top. Will be looking forward to Buzz Book every year.

I am extremely excited about BUZZ BOOKS, and the title could not be more fitting! For anyone who loves to stay abreast of what new books will be publishing, this is for you. If you are a picky reader who has a strong preference for a certain genre or two, the handy categorized lists - by genre- will make BUZZ BOOKS a definite hit. This is the opportunity to have - all in one place- succinct but meaningful summaries, enough sample pages to read in order to know if you want to pre-order this book for yourself or a gift, along with forthcoming publication dates and authors' names/ previous books (if not a debut.) I quickly found 2 novels that I know are not-to-be-missed books for me as well as potential book club recommendations! Then, making this publication buzz worthy in and of itself is more than just the chance to read a few pages when a book catches one's eye but also to immediately request the book from NetGalley.. I have made a note to look for the next edition Of BUZZ BOOKS in January 2025.

It's easy to request a book if you're interested, there's a link at the end of every excerpt along with information about the publisher and other pertinent information.

Buzz Books 2024 is a fantastic way to "try out" a book and see if it is something that will keep your interest. It offers a wide variety of genres, allowing you to explore different them and discover something new. I especially loved being exposed to genres that I don’t normally read. However, I wish there had been more non-fiction books on the list than there were. I loved that you can skip around or come back to the ones you skipped. The selections provide just enough to give you a taste of the author’s writing style

I always look forward to the Buzz Books guides. They never fail to highlight the books that end up being my most anticipated reads. Books that span genres of taste, there is truly something for any mood / reader. The Coles notes of books to read !

First of all, thank you NetGalley for adding to my already teetering stack of TBRs. I really loved the way this was organized, especially the debut section where I might have otherwise missed these new authors. I also was able to scan through the coming soon titles to find my favorite authors like Anne Tyler, Fiona Davis, Janet Evanovich, Richard Osmand, Louise Penny, and more.

I loved seeing Susan Rieger's new book listed as I just finished it thanks to NetGalley, and I loved it.

This will take quite some time to go through more thoroughly, but it is a great resource for keeping track of the things I want to read in the future. I imagine it is a great tool for booksellers as well!
