I love these Buzz Books with their long excerpts and a variety of genres. I can't think of a better way to find new books to read. My favorite book in the collection was The Teller of Small Fortunes by Julie Leong.

I always enjoy these publisher samples. I feel like I'm able to get a much better sense of what the reading experience will be like from the excerpts, in addition to the summaries.

Some featured books that I requested and/or am particularly interested in reading (thanks to this sampler):
- The Book of George by Kate Greathead
- Rental House by Weike Wang
- William by Mason Coile
- How Does that Make You Feel, Magda Eklund? by Anna Montague

Thank you to NetGalley and participating publishers!

As always, Buzz Books gives a great preview to upcoming titles that everyone will be talking about. I appreciate the ability to quickly scan the titles, previews, and read a quick chapter to see which ARCs to request. I like that it includes a mix of both fiction and non-fiction titles. As a Polar Night enthusiast, I'm particularly excited about getting my hands on How to Winter by Kari Leibowitz.

Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for access!

I love ARC samplers. They are so effective at getting books on more book influencers’ radars. It’s nice to be able to sample upcoming ARCs before committing to reading the whole book. I like that it’s a collection of various authors and genres. I look forward to getting these every time they come out!

I always appreciate these book samplers because I have a chance to check out some of the new books coming out that I wouldn't necessarily buy. The introduction had a great list of the books coming out in the upcoming months and I wish some more of those books were included in this sampler - particularly the Paula Hawkins book!

I love a good list/descriptions of books that will be released! I'm always scoping out books I think I'd like, and I enjoy getting my library holds in early.

I appreciate the publisher and NetGalley for allowing me to read Buzz Books 2024/Fall/Winter in exchange for an honest review.

Thanks very much to NetGalley and to Publishers Lunch for the opportunity to review Buzz Books 2024 — a look at almost 50 of the buzziest books coming out this fall and winter. What a gift to prospective readers (and reviewers). I wasn’t previously aware of these editions and greatly appreciated the opportunity to read this edition.

Part 1 features summaries and excerpts of 22 works of fiction by many writers many of us will recognize. I’m especially looking forward to new fiction by Rumaan Alam, Jami Attenberg, and Fiona Davis. Part 2 features forthcoming fiction by 13 debut authors. The excerpts in this section are especially valuable. Part 3, Nonfiction, includes 5 forthcoming titles including a memoir by singer-songwriter Neko Case, Kari Leibowitz on maintaining a positive winter mindset, and Dava Sobel on Marie Curie. And Part 4, Young Adult,, features six forthcoming titles. I don’t read a lot of YA, so really enjoyed a chance for a look inside these books — for example Judy I. Lin (?The Dark Becomes Her) and Jill Tew (The Dividing Sky).

I enjoyed the excerpts and especially liked the chance to preview work by debut authors. The excerpts are generous in number and length and the collection features quite good variety. I’ve added several books to the list I’m looking forward to reading soon.

This was a great guide for books due out in the fall/winter season. A few of my book clubs like to do themed books or add upcoming new releases and this is a great way to keep up with what's going on. Highly recommend.

I always find so many new authors and books in Buzz Books! In the latest edition, I'm especially excited about Every Moment Since and Sky Full of Elephants. I really appreciate the opportunity to read fairly lengthy excerpts from such a wide variety of books, especially those by debut authors who I otherwise would know nothing about.

This is the first time I’ve downloaded the Buzz Books summaries and excerpts. I found the publishing list very helpful in looking for books by favorite authors as well as indicating which new publications are debuts which is a category I often fail to track.

I found the various excerpts to be especially helpful in narrowing down books I was considering as I read through them and found that some I thought I might like were not for me and others that I wasn’t considering immediately pulled me in and made me want to read more.

I’m very excited about a few of the titles including Old Soul, The Resurrectionist, This Cursed House, William, The Stolen Queen, Harlem Rhapsody, and The Elements of Marie Curie. Some of these were already on my list and others look like great finds. I can’t wait to finish them all!

Thank you to Netgalley and Publishers Lunch Buzz Books for a copy provided for an honest review.

Love these previews, but I do wish there were more I want to read actually publishing in the fall. I guess the publishers are trying to avoid the election but I really need them out now. Anyway, there are many tantalizing offerings between these pages and that makes me happy. Good job to all the book industry!

BuzzBooks, as always, a very precious guide to the upcoming books. I have to confess that before choosing which books to buy in the next months, I am used to consult BuzzBooks pages to create my wishlist.
