It's great to have summaries and excerpts for upcoming books! I'm always on the lookout for good future releases, so this guide will be nice to have as I plan my reading for fall.
This comprehensive guide is the perfect tool for helping you curate your Fall/Winter TBR list! Spanning over 700 pages, you're bound to find at least a title or two that's right up your alley. While definitely a lengthy tome of information, it's thoughtfully organized into four sections: Fiction, Debut, Non-Fiction, and Young Adult (YA), making it super easy to navigate directly to your preferred genres without becoming overwhelmed. I love these samplers and hope that they keep them coming for many more seasons!
I do not know if I love or hate that there are so many great books continuing to come out this year. My TBR is already longer than my life will allow but I just added a lot more. I recommend this book to anyone who wants to know what is coming. The links to request through NetGalley is a big plus. I will keep getting these as long as they keep getting produced.
This work is very handy for reading enthusiasts who are in constant search for the next thing to read. There are dozens and dozens of authors and books that promise the next great read!
Some great selections here, a lot of times the excerpts won me over on books I might not have picked up otherwise. Thanks for this!
Buzz Books 2024 Great Reads Fall/Winter publication is pure catnip for readers, highly addictive, exciting, and satisfying. One could get carried away and wind up with a very long list of books to read. There are worse plights in life. Each new Buzz Books publication improves the format on getting the most out of the issue. The “Publishing Preview” section is brimming with possibilities and absolute necessities. Then on to the genres with a wealth of summaries and excerpts. Out of the various avenues of exploration, some like The Sequel (marked “wishlist” at NetGalley), The Fabled Earth, The Stolen Queen, The Book of George, the Lotus Shoes (debut) were added quickly to my list, and two series (to me) were noted as well - and that was just a start. To have a trove of such biblio-possibilities to explore is a joy.
I am grateful to Publishers Lunch and NetGalley, as well as all the authors and publishers, for providing this amazing sampling of upcoming books. I look forward to the next Buzz Books publications.
I love these samplers! They are my favorite for learning about new books to look out for in the next few months!
A helpful guide to Buzz Books for 2024. This helps me know what I want to add to my TBR and with descriptions. I liked the layout of the text.
This is my first time reading a Buzz Books. They do a great job of offering titles in a variety of genres. I enjoyed the layout with a summary, excerpt, and then information about the author and book information. I learned about many books I didn't even know about. I made note of several books that I'd like to read. The link to the information on NetGalley was really helpful too.
Each season I eagerly await Buzz Books by Publishers Lunch. I'm always excited to see what books I will look forward to in the upcoming months. This is a great way to get a little more in-depth idea of the book to see if it's a good fit for you. I've often read a synopsis of a book which sounded boring, but discovered after reading a bit of it that I MUST read it. Likewise, I think one sounds thrilling, only to find out it's just not for me. There are books I especially want to read featured in this edition, such as The Stolen Queen by Fiona Davis, The Sequel by Jean Hanff Korelitz, Rental House by Weike Wang, The Resurrectionist by A. Rae Dunlap, and The Lotus Shoes by Jane Yang. Sometimes you luck out and a book you want is available to read now! I can't wait to.see if I get any of the ones I requested. Fingers crossed...
So many books to discover! So little time! Can't wait to get through this preview book and check out all the great books coming out soon!
Thank you NetGalley for the next installment of Buzz Books! Super excited for the fall/winter season!
I enjoyed the fall/winter edition of Buzz Books. My favorite part was the YA section and the excerpts from Divine Mortals (Amanda M. Helander), The Dark Becomes Her (Judy I. Lin), and Jax Freeman and the Phantom Shriek (Kwame Mbalia). This was a great chance to get a preview of exciting upcoming releases!
Thank you to Publishers Lunch Buzz Books and Netgalley for a free sampler in exchange for honest feedback.
Thanks for providing the buzz books! A great way to discover new authors and read excerpts of books to try
Thank you for this fall and winter launch preview. It was such a great helpful little guide for great upcoming reads!
Buzz Books is a gift from the publishing gods. Thank you for sharing, in advance, what we have to look for in the Fall/Winter.
Love this!!! Great resource to know which books to look out for in the Fall / Winter. Only negative is that my TBR will only get longer.
An excellent source of book previews for the upcoming season! I appreciate how this is organized, and how much information it contains to give a good idea if a new author's style/book will fit your interests.
I find these Buzz Books useful for finding out about upcoming books, and for weeding out some books that I thought sounded interesting - until I read a sample. Unfortunately, most of the books that interested me did not have an excerpt. I am becoming increasingly cranky about the fact that the Buzz Books have no descriptions of the books without excerpts. Just telling me the author and title is not enough. I had to look up each book on Goodreads to get the description. This time around I did not actually have the patience to look up every book.
I received a free copy of this book from the publisher.
SO many good books coming out in the YA category in the Fall/Winter. I enjoyed that this guide gave a brief description of the book, an excerpt and the link to directly request it on Netgalley. Very helpful!
