This was my first novel by DeWitt, and it will absolutely not be my last. I adored this story. I really liked Sage right away and her heart for animals and her farm and friends. She was written in a down to earth way and it stuck true throughout the entire novel. She didn't help to make herself a hero or the center of attention but because she was a truly good person, and someone I loved spending time with in this audiobook. I also liked Fisher and his self-awareness. He knew where he had messed up and wasn't afraid to open, honest, and vulnerable with Sage. The romance here felt easy and natural. These characters complemented so well, and the chemistry was palpable. The author did a great job of balancing the heaviness and lightness of the different plot points. It was an easy story to get sucked into and I was sad when it ended.
I also loved Karissa Vacker and Zachary Webber's performance. They brought these characters to life and gave a spectacular performance, which I've come to love from all of the books that I listen to that have either/both of them in.

Sage Byrd, a lifelong resident of Spunes, Oregon, seeks redemption after her breakup with Ian, the town's golden boy, by participating in the Festival of Spunes. Fisher Lange, a former New York City chef grappling with grief and a tarnished reputation, agrees to partner with Sage to improve his image and overcome obstacles in the town. As their strategic alliance blossoms into a passionate romance amidst the backdrop of the summer festival, they discover healing and the fleeting nature of time. The audiobook narrators are skilled voice actors that will make you feel like you are there in the moment. You will laugh out loud, your heart will race, and you may even shed a tear!

I am always very conservative on labeling a book I read in the first half of a year as one of my favorites of the year but trust me this is going to be top 3 for me when 2024 comes to a close. Tara makes the characters realistic, relatable and can articulate their issues in a way that makes you go “Me, too! That’s how I feel about XYZ!!” The humor had me laughing out loud and while Zachary Webber’s narration is always fantastic this one was fantastic +1. I like that Tara left some of the side character story lines open so if she decides to make this a series I will be ecstatic but this is perfection by itself.

the narrating of this story was amazing!!!! the narrators brought this beautiful story to life and made it so much more entrancing and captivating to read!

what a truly lovely story. like all of Tarah DeWitt’s stories, the beautifully complex characters show such a raw & authentic love in so many abundant forms. I cried my eyes out & laughed out loud repeatedly while reading this story, & it once again solidifies my Tarah DeWitt fangirl status 🥰

Sage & Fisher are such lovable, beautiful characters. they both go on a deep journey of finding peace & safety while being in very different stages of life. I adored how they leaned on each other & become beacons of hope & distraction through emotionally deep moments of their lives.

also the way Fisher & Indy find their new peace & normal with each other was so special to read, especially as Sage so seamlessly ties their little family together. just a truly beautiful story. thank you for the arc :)

Reader that want a confused single dad (uncle) that is all thumbs at parenting, out of sorts about his job and life's work and transplanted to small town to try to pull it together, LOCK IN.

Couple that with a Jill of All Trades, (Perceived Master of None) that feels like she's made up of nots (Not too tall, Not too short, not too slim, not too curvy...you get the idea) and runs headlong into everything because of it, BE SEATED.

This man (Fisher) told her (Sage) "You once told me you thought you were a lot of nots. I want you to know that to me, you're everything". And I guess I was supposed to just move on with my day like that line didn't have me ready to take to my bed and weep. This is a solid contemporary romance for the small town, single parent, forced proximity lovers

Savor It not only captured my heart but my attention as well. When I started the book, I did not want to put it down as I was savoring the plot, enjoying the characters, and feeling all kinds of emotions.

The two main characters are both likeable, charming, and are dealing with their own issues. Sage is bubbly and has a hobby farm and has a hard time saying no to taking in animals in need. She is also trying to avoid the pitying eyes of the locals who know her ex has moved on quite fast after their breakup. Fisher is a Chef who recently lost his sister and is now responsible for his teenage niece. He and his niece travel to Spunes, Oregon so he can consult on a restaurant opening. Sage and Fisher make a deal which they hope will help both.

I found this to be a wonderful and charming romance book which had the characters dealing with real life issues. I thought the author did a great job depicting grief, frustration, pain, and loss to name a few. I also enjoyed the characters’ banter, their interactions, and fun moments. The characters felt real, and I enjoyed how they began to be open and vulnerable with each other. I love books which evoke emotions. There were times in the book where I wanted to give both a hug, and other times where I enjoyed smiling with them, and other times where I cheered for them.

This is the first book which I have read by Tarah Dewitt, and it will not be my last. I loved the emphasis on community, small town charm, growth, resiliency, communication, and love.

I had both the book and audiobook which made for a delightful reading experience. I thought the two narrators did a fantastic job.

Savor It by Tarah Dewitt is a heartwarming story about Sage Byrd, a woman who has lived in the small town of Spunes, Oregon her whole life and Fisher Lange, a chef who temporarily relocates to Spunes to help open a new restaurant. Both Sage and Fisher are healing after loss and needing to rediscover themselves after life-changing events. Sage and Fisher come up with a mutually beneficial fake dating scheme but end up finding valuable understanding and support from each other as they spend time together.

This is the second book I have read by Tarah Dewitt (the other was Funny Feelings). I really enjoyed this one. I thought it was sweet, funny, and had the right amount of spice. I really appreciated how gentle the various characters were with each other and also how the story resolved.

Both narrators (Karissa Vacker and Zachary Webber) brought this story to life. They did a great job portraying the characters!

I loved the small-town romance vibes where everyone is in everyone else’s business! Each of the characters – even the side ones – felt so real and made me want to be friends with them. The writing was easy to follow and wow- some of those scenes were spicy. I liked that this book also focused on some real topics people deal with in their lives, such as career burnout and grief. Both narrators did a great job with the dual perspectives and kept me intrigued.

I like upbeat books, and the tone of this one is too serious for me. I’m sure others will enjoy it. The narration is well done.

Thanks, NetGalley, for the ARC.

First thing’s first: thank you Netgalley for the ALC of this book!
Savor It was a sweet, grumpy x sunshine, small town romance between Sage and Fisher. Sage is a local in love with town, but recently dumped by her fiance who is now engaged to someone new. Fisher is a chef from NYC who’s been hired to consult on a new restaurant being built.
This book was so good to me. The vibes were just right, there was enough yearning, the characters were easy to root for, and the conflict was believable. I really really loved this one and will be thinking about it for a long time to come.

This quirky, 'opposites attract' romance is a delightful, heartfelt and steamy story. Sage and Fisher's slow burn romance is filled with fun banter, hilarious awkward moments, and countless moving and romantic moments as well. Sage never met an animal, or human she didn't want to help. She lives on a farm in the small community of Spunes, and finds the joy in everything and everyone. Fisher is the guardian of his teenage niece, Indy, after the sudden loss of his sister. They are both heartbroken and don't know how to relate to each other. They had to move from New York to Spunes for the summer when Fisher was at a crossroads in his career as a renowned chef. They aren't happy in the smalltown with it's nosey, quirky residents, but their new neighbor, Sage, and her ardent animals eventually make them feel alive again. When Sage needs a partner to compete in a community competition, Fisher reluctantly agrees to help. As they spend time together, they both help each other learn to see life differently. They bring light into each other's lives, and their chemistry is off the charts. As Fisher and Indy's time in Spunes comes to an end, will they find the strength to stay or will they leave as planned, breaking all their hearts?
This is a wonderful journey of forgiveness, redemption, second chances and love. I was cheering hard for Sage and Fisher right until the very end, and I wasn't disappointed. I really loved them together and I also loved the evolution of Fisher and Indy's relationship as well.
Both Narrators, Karissa Vacker, and Zachary Webber were outstanding in bringing this story to life. Their intonations, and voice changes were eloquent and fluid making me feel every emotion from joy to heartbreak, laughter to love, and everything in between, making this audio experience pure gold!
This is my first book by Tarah Dewitt and I really enjoyed her beautiful writing, rich characters, and this entertaining, moving story with lots of heart. I will definitely look for more of her work.

2.5 stars rounded to 3 for the Zachary Webber and Karissa Vacker narration and the stunning cover art.

I might be an outlier review here, but I feel like a lot of what happened in this story was underdeveloped and felt unnatural. I wanted to feel more of an emotional connection to Sage and Fisher, but I didn't get any chemistry from them. I also didn't really understand some of the plot pieces and their purposes. For example, Sage's brother's accident really didn't offer anything for the plot.

I wanted to know more about Sage's flower growing and all her animals, I wanted more from Fisher and Indy's relationship, I wanted more of Fisher's role as a chef. It seemed like there were so many components added to check off boxes but they didn't add up to a connected story.

so 👏🏻 damn 👏🏻 good 👏🏻

Tarah DeWitt has solidified as a favorite author for me. She perfectly creates characters that are living and working through their grief and/trauma, but also are still multidimensional, and relatable. I don’t love books that dwell in drama for the sake of devastation. This book just nails it. It’s personable, sweet, slow but not boring and gave me those little stomach flutters we all so crave as romance readers. It’s the slow, little moments here. The mundane made magical.

I absolutely loved the audio narration, and ended up binging it in a day. 4.5 ⭐️

✨Thoughts✨
I was completely in love with this book from the moment I laid eyes on it. So, when I discovered that the audiobook was finally available to review, I couldn't resist getting my hands on it. Being an avid fan of audiobooks, I have to say that the narration in this one is absolutely exceptional. The dynamic dual narration by Karissa Vacker (also known as Vanessa Edwin) and Zachary Webber, is a match made in heaven. It's like a dream team of voice actors, perfectly complementing the beautiful writing of Tara DeWitt. Trust me when I say, you won't be disappointed. This audiobook guarantees 100 percent satisfaction.

🔸Both narrators truly capture the essence of every emotion and effortlessly transition between characters, making it an audio version that is both engaging and easy to follow. With every word, the story tugs at your heart and explores vulnerabilities with the utmost care. It's as if you're transported into the very fabric of the narrative, experiencing the evolving love story firsthand. There's something immensely comforting about small-town romances and the richly layered characters that will leave you sighing and swooning. I simply cannot sing enough praises for this masterpiece of an audiobook.

🔸If you are a fan of romance audiobooks that are narrated flawlessly and possess voices that can transport you effortlessly into the heart of the story, then this is undoubtedly the perfect listen for you!

4 ⭐️. This was so refreshingly adorable! I really liked this love story between Sage, small Oregonian town girl and Fisher, big city chef who has custody of his angsty teenage niece who visits her tiny town for the Summer. This has all the makings of a Hallmark movie but I think it digs a bit deeper, skips the cheese and delivers the perfect amount of swoon! I loved how these 30-somethings acted liked 30 somethings. No miscommunication tropes here, real adult conversations - wow refreshing. I fell in love with these two, their farm animals and the quirky little town. It was a nice reprieve from a bit of a book slump and mediocre thriller reads. I even shed a tear or two at the end. This was my first Tarah Dewitt book and will not be my last!

Read this if you’re into:
* Small town setting
* Dual POV
* A bit of opposites attract
* Found family and community
* Friends with benefits/summer romance

A huge thank you to MacMillan Audio for this advanced listeners copy in exchange for my honest review. I LOVED the narrators, Karissa Vacker and Zachary Webber (swoon), they did a phenomenal job with this book and highly recommend the audio.

This was such a fun, flirty and adorable read. I loved the cozy small town charm. All of the characters were great. The banter, the chemistry, it was done incredibly. I love that we got the perspective of the two main characters - I loved being inside their head as their relationship blossoms. We never questioned where they stood as individuals - regardless of our opinions on their choices. I wanted to jump into the book and befriend all the characters… and hope that there are more following about some of the people we met along the way.

Thank you NetGalley for my advanced reader and audio copies!

One of the best audiobooks I've ever listened to! 1000% RECOMMEND! ZACHARY WEBBER + KARISSA VACKER KILLED
THIS NARRATION SO SO GOOD!! Listening to Savor it made the book 10x more enjoyable!!
A beautiful character driven story about reinventing yourself + realizing what truly matters. There’s something so beautiful about meeting characters when they aren’t at the best & slowly learning to LIVE and enjoy life again.

Burnt out chef Fisher finds himself moving to Sprunes Oregon along side his niece who he recently become guardian of. Fisher finds himself neighbors with the local golden girl Sage. Let me tell you I absolutely adored her quirky self. A lover of animals + gardening! My girl Sage is living her best life. I loved that Sage was happy with her life as it was. I think the older I get the more I realize it’s the little things that matter.

Throughout the summer the two join forces to work together, and my favorite part of this was how much they both just needed each other! It was truly beautiful to see Fisher and Sage fall into each other. It felt inevitable and organic. The setting of this book was perfect. Small town coastal vibes will always be my favorite.

THINGS I LOVE:
- MEET CUTE ( I love that Fisher is the one who finds himself in a compromising situation)
- Small Town Coastal Vibes
- Golden Summer Girl
- GARYYYY
- The intimacy scenes add to the connection between Fisher + Sage
- Indy and Sam
- The library

I was super excited to read this/listen to it. I have never read this author and heard so many good things about the book and the author. Plus, the narrators are two of my favorite (Vanessa Edwin and Zachary Webber). How could it go wrong?

But it was just meh. Boring. I felt like there were so many things going on as far as storylines and nothing was finished. Sage and her animals, Fisher and his guardianship of his teenage niece, Fisher in town to come up with the menu for the new restaurant, the canoe race, her brother's accident. It was just too much. I didn't feel any real connection between Fisher and Sage, either.

Thank you to St. Martin's Press for the advance readers copy and to Macmillan Audio for the advanced listener copy. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Omgggg I loved this book.
I mean can anyone live up to Meyer Fucking Harrigan? Probably not. BUT!
Sage and Fisher. Omg swoon. I absolutely loved their chemistry and quirks and all their shitty puns. It was so fun to see them try to not fall head over heels but doing it anyway.
So many warm lovely feelings with this one.

Thanks to NetGalley and St Martins Press for an eARC.
