I enjoyed this book but found it kinda slow. The characters were great and DeWitt covered heavy topics well but something about it didn't do it for me.
Thanks to NetGalley, St Martin's Press & MacMillan Audio for advance copies
All of the stars!!!! Infinity of them! Tarah knocked it out the park with this one and it will be the talk of the summer for sure. I just loved the connection of the characters and their relationship development. The audio was just incredible and the narrators were chosen perfectly.
An absolute GEM of a read. I read an early copy of this and getting the ALC was even better the second time around. These two narrated embodied these characters better than anyone I could’ve imagined. The story was told in such a way that highlighted just how fantastic of a story that Tarah wrote. This book had me captivated from the very beginning and I couldn’t stop listening to these two until the final words were spoken. It’s a beautiful story that was transformed in a way that you feel like it breathed new light into this book.
I loved this book. Single guardian is my favorite trope. Sage and Fisher were a lovely couple. And steamy scenes were a hot. Spoons was a wonderful small town with the usual small town shenanigans. I liked the male narrator a lot.
This review is for the audio book. This book would have had a higher rating if the story content OR the narration was exceptional. Both were just OK. The story was kind of bland, and honestly the best thing about was the notable pets. Both narrators had the problem where the voice is great for their own gender, but not good for others because they try to take their voice too high or too low. This makes it very distracting for the overall listening experience.
Thank you to netgalley for the ARC. Opinions are my own.
Tarah DeWitt’s "Savor It" is a delightful romcom set in the charming coastal town of Spunes, Oregon. Sage Byrd, reeling from a breakup and determined to prove herself, teams up with Fisher Lange, a grieving chef on sabbatical, for the town’s annual summer competition.
Their strategic alliance quickly turns into something more, filled with steamy encounters and emotional healing. DeWitt’s skillful storytelling captures the heart of small-town life, blending humor, romance, and poignant moments.
"Savor It" is a perfect summer read, brimming with charm and Big Feelings, making it Tarah DeWitt’s best work yet. Highly recommended for fans of heartfelt and spicy romance.
The narration for this one was 🧑🍳💋. As usual, Tarah delivered another gem. Can’t wait to see what she comes out with next!
I loved this audiobook. I finished it in a day, I couldn’t stop listening. I love a good rom com and this book did not disappoint. I loved the whole hearted characters, foodie talk and multiple relationships that were being worked on. I also really loved the narrators of this audiobook, they are two of my favorite to listen to.

Having recently read Funny Feelings and falling in love with it, I was ecstatic to pick up another book by Tarah Dewitt. However, while I like her character writing and the setting of this novel, the story didn't hook me the way I was hoping it would. As I mentioned, the small town setting of this story is idyllic and dreamy, and Sage is a very sweet character, but I had a lot of issues with the pacing of this story. The pacing of Sage and Fisher's friendship and romance seemed rushed at times, and overall had an awkward timeline. Often, they were very blunt sharing their feelings and trauma with each other when I felt like they were hardly even established as friends. I did really like them as a couple once near the end of the book, but there were many moments reading this book when I couldn't tell if the romance was going to develop any more or stay in the limbo it was in. One a more positive note, I did really like the message of this book regarding career ambitions and personal happiness. As I get older, I grow weary of romances with billionaire love interests that promote idealizing wealth. Instead, I love when author's address that personal happiness should always take priority. So overall, I still love this author and this book had many elements I loved, but I feel like in it's production Savor It's marketable setting, vibes, and tropes got prioritized, when the priority should have been creating a cohesive and increasingly captivating love story.

a cute romance in a small town named spoons that’s all about canoes. it gave me gilmore girl mixed with virgin river vibes. fisher, a chef, and his high school niece indie relocate to a small town for the summer to help start a restaurant for his boss in new york. and he meets sage who shows the two around town and helps them both heal a little bit from their grieving and discover that small towns aren’t always so bad.

𝜗𝜚 sage:
i loved her, she was such a fun character and reminded me of actual sunshine and i loved her personality and how she just took in all the abandoned and stray animals, like no hesitation. that’s the dream farm. how she immediately clicked with indie was so cute.
𝜗𝜚 fisher:
i love that he first attempted to be so grumpy but was an actual melted buttery cinnamon roll for sage. we love to see it. i also loved to see him recover from his slump because of his time in spoons. and his progress with indie too.

°•*⁀➷ the writing
this is my first Tarah Dewett book and will not be my last, it was put together so well and had me giddy ready for more. The writing was fast paced but not rushed and wrote even some of the side characters as intriguing and captivating to know more about.

so CUTE! i loved that sage and fisher were friends first, and that she was there for indie too. she was so quirky and just absolutely adorable. she definitely gave off the vibes of being an elementary school teacher, jessica day vibes for sure. the spicy scenes were even mild and shorter than most i’ve read so it’s a great story for beginner romance readers too.

°•*⁀➷ in conclusion,
it was another fun small town romance that had me hooked with the delightful and down to earth real-feeling characters and romance.

I love a cute small town romance with the sweetest love story! Fisher and Sage are absolutely perfect together! Grumpy sunshine for sure, but it definitely works for them. Fisher is going through some changes after the loss of his sister and job in NYC and heads to a small town in Oregon with his niece. Sage has just come out of a 5-year relationship and the last thing she wants is people feeling sorry for her. When Fisher agrees to Sage's fake dating offer, he's almost certain he can win over the townspeople. As they start spending more time together, they start falling for each other. Both become vulnerable with each other and are able to build a relationship in which they support each other and most importantly, communicate. This book is fun and heartwarming, and I absolutely loved all the animals! 4 stars!
Thank you NetGalley, MacMillan Audio, and Tarah Dewitt for this lovely book!
Savor It was a delightful romance story, filled with the vibe of a small town in the Pacific Northwest, the fictional Spunes, Oregon, on the scenic Oregon coast. (Their Welcome To Spunes sign even has a sense of humor; it says “Not to be confused with Forks, Washington”!)
Sage and Fisher make a great couple. Fisher is a temporary neighbor, with his niece, for whom he has recently become the guardian. He’s in town to help set the menu and other startup details for a new restaurant for his boss. He’s a wonderful chef, but after experiencing some burnout, he was “exiled” to Spunes for the summer. New York City is his home base - talk about “geographically undesirable” for Sage! Sage is a teacher and has a magnificent garden. She is the caretaker for the neighboring house while the owners are away; Fisher and his niece are renting the place and that’s how they meet - in what is definitely not a “meet cute” situation. Their relationship goes from neighbors to friends to lovers. But what will happen when the summer ends and Fisher goes back to NYC?
Chapters are told either from Sage’s point of view (POV) or from Fisher’s. On the audiobook, there are two different narrators, but it’s not a true duet narration. The male narrator, Zachary Webber, does the chapters labeled Fisher, and the female narrator, Karissa Vacker, does the chapters labeled Sage.
Thank you to St. Martin’s Griffin and NetGalley for the opportunity to read an advance reader copy of this book and to Macmillan Audio and NetGalley for the opportunity to listen to an advance copy of this audiobook. All opinions are my own.
The perfect dish for summer. Spicy, sweet, funny and captivating. I loved Sage and Fisher and wish this was a series that I could watch with the quirky town and amazing characters. I mean, who has a pet duck? I need more! The audio is fantastic and the narrators did a great job!

This is a cute little rom com about Sage (the hometown girl) and Fisher (the down on his luck bachelor who has custody of his teen niece).
I loved the characters in this book, but it was a bit spicy for me and I felt like Sage and Fisher didn’t have enough tension developed, before becoming an item. I guess I just prefer more slow burn romances.
Still, this is a very cute book and premise.
Narrators were great and I don’t think any rom com lovers will be disappointed.
Thank you to the author, NetGalley, and MacMillan Audio for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
What a cute romance book! Small town romance is my favorite trope so I was all for this one. I was drawn to the chemistry between Sage and Fisher, and I loved Indy’s character.
I thought the audiobook was well done. I liked how both main characters had their own narrators. It prevented me from getting confused in regard to which character was currently narrating.
Plus… any book that revolves around food is a book for me! 😋
Cute read that would be great for the summer. Loved the small town setting and a chef MC. Loved the animal loving and rescuing FMC. I feel like I've been reading more romance books that contain a deceased parent as integral to the storyline......is this becoming a popular trope? This one is steamy if that is what you are looking for.
Thank you Netgalley and Macmillan Audio for the ALC.

Savor It is an adorable small town romance between a hotshot chef and his neighbor. Fisher reluctantly moves to the coastal town of Spunes, Oregon with his moody niece in order to help open up a restaurant for his boss. Sage loves her town and her hobby farm. Fisher is not fitting in well in the small town and after a kiss with his neighbor leads to dating rumors, the two decide to form an alliance to improve his image. However, the two find themselves having real feelings for one another.
This was very cute and I loved the setting of Spunes. DeWitt has created an adorable world and I cannot wait for a few side characters to become the leads in future installments. I highly highly recommend the audio version. Karissa Vacker and Zachary Webber are two of my favorite narrators and they are perfection as always. Overall, a fun small town romance with heart.

A delightful audiobook! It was a little sweeter than I like my romances, but it was great to listen to. The narrators were great, brought the characters to life perfectly.
I wasn’t a fan of how often the book’s title was used, both POVs used “savor” and “savor it” a few times, and it was cheesy to me. The plot was a little flat, but it was an easy listen.
3.5 stars. Thanks to MacMillan Audio for an early copy of this audiobook! Super cute, small town romance with a grumpy chef and a sunshine girl who has a small collection of rescue animals. So many things to love! The audio has two narrators for the dual POVs. It's steamy but not overly spicy. Definitely recommend for fans of Abby Jimenez and Emily Henry.
