I think this sequel was an absolute blast - Dimova weaves in all the ends and answers all the questions I had at the end of book 1 and she does so so expertly and so masterfully. Kosara and Asen's relationship improves rather realistically - there is no miscommunication but conflicts arise in other aspects of their lives that cross over. I, of course, LOVE the Slavic folklore representation as well as the Bulgarian folklore and creatures! It's really awesome and fun to learn about new creatures and the similarities and differences between Russian creatures and Bulgarian ones!
Overall, an amazing sequel and truly a wild ride (I read in a day. Literally)
