Volume two comprises of episodes 15 to 29 of the webtoon.

This picks up where Kody is being bullied in school physically and emotionally. He continues to keep this from his father even though his father has his suspicions. Early on in this volume we see that Kody did have one close friend, and due to Kody being standoff ish and weary because of his past he loses his friend.

Lumine is desperate to help Kody and wants to be his friend, Kody is stuck in his old ways and is worried about getting close to any one.
Also, Lumine is worried about a strange shadow cat he keeps seeing around Kody, he thinks it may bring harm to Kody or others.

Lumine continues to try to be the best bodyguard and is staying as close to Kody as he will let him, but when Kody gets past Lumine and heads home from school, he ends up being kidnapped by people who are out for his blood.

Lumine hunts down Kody just in time to save him from the kidnappers as they are starting to cause some serious damage.

In the heat of the moment Kody realizes he isn't able to protect himself and Limine is there for him , this whole scene is heartwarming and shows the bond the boys are truly growing with each other, even though Kody is resistant.

We also learn a that Lumine may not just be your average weredog.

This series continues to keep my heart pulling for more. The boys are growing together and I can see that they will have more ahead of both of them and they are learning to count on each other.

The art does a wonderful job at really conveying the emotions as well as drawing you in.
The writing is fantastic , its readable for a middle grade reader ( my daughter read this as well and Loves it, shes obsessed and wants more) Its also very readable for an adult.

Lumine’s Volume Two ramps up the action with Kody getting kidnapped, and Lumine is determined to save him. As the two boys continue to grow closer, you can really feel the development in their relationship. Lumine’s determination to do his job well and protect Kody shines through, even as the tension of the situation increases. It's clear that Lumine is trying his best, and it’s heartwarming to see how much he cares for Kody, despite Kody’s initial resistance.

This addition does a great job building the suspense and deepening the emotional stakes, while still maintaining the charm and humor of the first book. The cliffhanger at the end is sure to leave you eager for the next volume. This is a great continuation that keeps you invested in both the action and the characters.

Nothing at all happens in this for the first half of this book. I get that this witch kid is unliked in his school. You've beaten me over the head with this fact. I need about 5 pages to pick that up, not 125. This school is normal except witches and werecreatures go there. The second half picks up but it's just page after page of werecreatures tossling around. It's so damn repetitive. I just didn't like this at all.

Volume two is a fantastic continuation of Lumine's story. Beautiful illustrations and well written. Readers will devour this volume and be on the edge of their seats waiting for volume 3.

Actual rating 3.0-3.5 stars.

Lumine by Emma Krogell is a werewolf paranormal fantasy set in a world not so unlike our own. in Volume 2, the mysterious young Lumine still seeks acceptance from Kody as his bodyguard, and has learned more about Kody's secrets at school--that he is bullied at school for his witch powers. While Volume 1 was fairly slow and focused on exposition, Volume 2 is a bit faster paced, as more characters are introduced and the world and magic rules are further explained. There are some plot-significant fighting scenes, as well.

This is a solid example of a series in which the reader can observe the creator's growth over the course of each chapter--the contrast between Volumes 1 and 2 demonstrates the potential of Krogell's growth as an artist and as a storyteller, and I can only imagine the progress that continues from there (more chapters are available on Webtoon, should readers want to see for themselves).

That said, this does feel like an early work in Krogell's repertoire, as some of the dialogue can be a bit stilted on occasion, and some of the character interactions can seem a bit awkward. Still, this is something that improves with practice, and I look forward to how the series develops in later volumes/chapters!

I found myself enjoying volume 2 from the beginning to the end. Lumine is such a cute character full of determination and Kody is such a grump as these two have their lives already woven together and their journey is only just beginning I can't wait to see where this goes. The art was amazingly done, too cute.

I thoroughly enjoyed this volume 2 of Lumine. The graphics are phenomenal and I'm really enjoying the journey with Lumine and Kody

Okay, I love a grump and Kody is about as grumpy as they come. He is giving black cat vibes and our poor baby Lumine is just trying to be his friend. Obviously being his body guard as well is tricky but he is trying so hard.

The art is phenomenal and I cannot wait to continue the series.

This series is absolutely precious and the relationship between Kody and Lumine is a joy to follow. I love reading about supernatural odd ball pairings.

Ich habe das Buch nicht vollständig gelesen, da es erhebliche Layoutprobleme hat und darunter leidet das Verstehen des Textes und die Motivation. Die Bilder sind alle allerdings sehr schön. Leider nicht meins.

I received an advanced copy from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
Secrets are unveiled, friendships are torn, and Lumine still can’t figure out why he can’t turn into the werewolf he’s meant to be. In this second volume of the hit webcomic Lumine, Kody is still moody as ever, as Lumine defends and protects his charge (Kody), from bullies at school. Things change between Kody, a witch, and Lumine, a werewolf when Kody gets kidnapped alongside his nemesis from school. Can Lumine come into his full power before it’s too late? Or will he and Kody succumb to their weaknesses at the very end?
This was fantastic! I love reading the Lumine webcomic from Webtoon. This second volume comes together in this stunning graphic novel, full of questions, violence, and a mysterious being at the end of the book. Kody and Lumine’s friendship borders on staying alive after Kody is kidnapped and to be sold on the black market. I was so happy when Lumine came into his power, aka The Werewolf. I can’t wait for volume 3, or perhaps I should catch up on Webtoon instead…

How can anyone not fall in love with Lumine? In this second volume, our tiny fluffy werewolf is ever more determined to be the very best bodyguard to his outcast witch ward, Kody, who is still being mercilessly bullied at school. Even a single former friend who shunned him has no chance at getting past Kody’s barriers after betraying him, and it seems that Lumine will also pay for that betrayal with Kody’s everlasting disdain and mistrust. Yet, when a fellow student is in danger, Kody comes to the rescue at his own expense and Lumine must find the beast within him to save them both. Beautiful artwork, emotional and endearing storytelling. Just a great manga. I can’t wait for the next volume!

A good continuation of the story and now that a certain cat is out of the bag I am interested to see how that particular revelation develops.

This volume doesn't really have a story arc independently. This is definitely a case of a webcomic that doesn't translate well to graphic novel form. As a continuation of the first volume, the story is definitely getting more intriguing, but I'm not sure any questions were answered by this one.

Thank you NetGalley and Webtoon for this ARC for review.

Lumine Volume two is a story of an anti-social boy named Kody who has trouble with the bullies at his school. Lumine is a were dog who vows to protect Kody even though both of them are having trouble with their powers, and Kody is not letting Lumine in. This book has beautiful graphics and a story that will be identifiable to many kids. It has a found family feeling and touches on real problems even though we are in a fantasy world.
There is quite a lot of violence in the book so I would say it is for older audiences.

I love the art style of the author. The mystery of what’s really going on with Lumine’s lineage has me intrigued.

Kody is a witch but he can’t use magic without coughing up blood.

Kody’s dad Aiden is investigating the kidnapping of witches.

The ending was a cliffhanger! Can’t wait to read more!

Thanks, NetGalley for the ARC.

I absolutely adored this book. The graphics are beautiful and the story was exciting from page one. I am already obsessed and can't wait for the next one to be released. I can't wait to find out more about Lumine's backstory because this one left us on a cliff hanger and now to patiently wait for the next volume. Lumine addresses different issues children have such as not fitting in, bullying, and friendship. I will definitely recommend this to my patrons. They are going to love this series!

Lumine is a werewolf, who is the bodyguard of another child named Kody. Kody often finds himself in trouble and is being bullied at school. Lumine wants to help but Kody doesn't want help. Lumine has a job to do now that witches are being kidnapped but he also has to protect his own secret!

Ive never read any of the Lumine comic before but I really like the idea of it! I think the art is a nice style and while we have 2-3 different plot focal points they all seem to be moving at a decent pace. Ill be interested to see where else this one goes in the future!
