This updated classic is one that should be added to family cookbook shelves around the country.
I love how Joan Nathan writes and it feels like she is here with you as you make these recipes. I love how they are family oriented and involved with making them.
Really look forward to owning a copy of this book.

Thanks NetGalley for this ARC

Joan Nathan is a legend, and one of the originals who shined light on traditional Jewish recipes. Years ago, when her children were young she published a cookbook based around nine Jewish holidays, giving instructions to assist families in working together to prepare feasts of their own. Fast forward a few decades and her children are now grown with children of their own. She has updated the book to reflect current tastes by adding in a bunch of new recipes to reflect some of the more current trends, while keeping holiday classics. This is an excellent cookbook for Jewish families, as well as anyone curious about traditional Jewish foods, or perhaps someone who has tried and enjoyed some of them at a traditional Jewish deli.

I collect cookbooks and have reached the point where I have many cookbooks and the space designated for my collection is limited. I have to think carefully before adding a new physical cookbook to my collection, and often will flip through a cookbook or wait to see write-ups and reviews including a table of contents to get an idea if its something different and worth adding to my collection. I look forward to adding this update of a classic to my extensive collection when it is released in November 2024.
