I did not enjoy this one much. I think I have a hard time with the author. The style of writing and formatting just isn't for me.
Book 2 was really great. I liked that it took place in Australia. It was definitely good to learn more about the main characters and her growth.
This book wasn't my cup of tea. I prefer a strong female lead, and Kirby was not that. I won't be continuing with this series.
I liked Circle of Death better than Circle of Fire
However, it still has the same MO as most Keri Arthur books.
I didn’t warm to the characters, I found it to be a standard romance.
But I still love the world building. The mix of paranormal that Arthur throws in, is probably my favourite part of the series.
The magic is intriguing and the variety of paranormal creatures keeps the series interesting. I love the idea of the Damask Circle, a group of paranormal creatures who police their own kind.
It a nice, light PNR
