I haven't read book one, but I enjoyed this book nonetheless. I had my suspicions who 'invisible' was amongst the suspects and I was pleased to find out I was right ( I've been wrong quite frequently lately!). It wasn't a lot of murders thriller, not for want of trying, but it threw in enough twists that kept me wondering if I was right with my suspect. The characters were written well and the 'omens' worked well in the story. I will be looking for book one to read.
The Logan sisters have always been tight, but Jen needs her sisters and her grandmother. now more than ever.. Jen,, her husband, and their twins love their posh home in the beach at Gulf Shores, but now she's having problems with her memory and she's always so tired and weak. She's pretty sure she's losing her mind and she's terrified.. Someone is doing this, but she doesn't know who and she doesn't know if she's wrong about this theory, too. When her sister, Annie and her grand mother come to the rescue, Jen starts finding out a lot of things she never knew were happening, and she starts to realize that her friends may not be who she always believed they were..
Sit down, put your seatbelt on, and enjoy this roller coaster ride!! You'll love it!
Book 2 in the series. Overall, I really enjoyed this dark, chilling, well-plotted story. It was intense and fast paced and I raced through this in a few hours, frantically turning the pages, desperate to find out how it was all going to be resolved. With that dramatic ending, I wasn’t disappointed! I’m already looking forward to the author’s next book. Utterly compelling reading, The book is inspiring and I wouldn’t hesitate to highly recommend it.
Omg I thought the first one was good but this one was even better , it was more suspenseful as well as give me the creepy goosebumps vibe I was hoping for . And the twist and turns as well as the Atmosphere of the book made it even more fun to read especially since I was up reading it at night and outside my bedroom window it was storming .
Gripping, suspenseful right from the start! The story jumps right into the mysterious notes and disturbing behaviour being shown towards Jen. This was such a great way to introduce the book to the readers! The short chapters allowed the reading experience to be top notch. I started to list potential culprits as the story unfolded I was dumfounded by the quality of the writing style. How impactful this was! Enough details to keep up the tension and thrills. Jen's character was such a strong headed lady keeping up with the back to back situations arising leaving her feeling vulnerable. Her determination was admirable! Ben on the other hand what a sleaze! I wasn't a fan of the decisions he chose to make.
Showcasing the life's of rich people and how not enough money in the world can replace or be a substitute for happiness and love. One thing I was put off by was the references to certain flowers and nature. I wasn't really interested in that.
I did guess who the culprit was, but it was great to see how it planned out.
Thank you Peggy Webb, Netgalley and Bookouture for the opportunity to read this arc.
This is the second book featuring the Logan sisters. Some creepy and scary parts but a very good read. I look forward to the next instalment in this series. Thanks to NetGalley, Bookoutre and the Author for allowing me to read and review this book.
This talented author has written a page turner. Secrets and red herrings…a quick intriguing read. Realistic characters and an intriguing setting…At times, I could only think that this would make a good movie...albeit not a warm and cozy one...even the title is mysterious...thanks Netgalley
This is a dark and twisty book. It’s very well written. I had some problems connecting with the characters but the overall story is great. It was a very interesting read. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced free copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. I received a copy from the publisher through NetGalley.
In the first book the middle sister Rachel was the main character. In this one the author puts the eldest of the three Logan sisters in the spotlight.
Just like in the previous book, the book bathes in an eery atmosphere where nature signals when danger is lurking in the shadows.en
I like Jen. She is strong woman who is not standing idly by when the going gets tough. When it's time to act, she does not hesitate even when the situation is precarious. Ben, on the other hand, was not my favorite person. He is weak and the way he acted in the end was really not done in my opinion. I am glad athe realised even though the horses had already bolted...
I had an inkling of the identity of the culprit and I was happy I could congratulate myself in the end. :)
Great story. I enjoyed myself a lot reading it. 5 stars
Thank you
