Such a fun and cute read! Wasn’t sure how I’d like insta-love/love at first sight trope but I really enjoyed this book. I loved Luca! Millie and Luca were so cute together! Such a fluffy, easy read and I would definitely recommend it. Can’t wait to read more by Hailey Frost!
Thank you to the publisher and Net Galley for this Arc!
This book was sweet and fluffy but absolutely nothing happened for the first 80% of the book.
I was majorly turned off by the tactless way depression was used on page one as a throwaway word. 'This interior design' making our MC feel 'depressed' and I'm not entirely sure why we're still making comments like this in 2024. Call me overly-sensitive but as someone who had/has MDD it's not nice to see it treated like a joke on page one of a book.
However, I ventured on as this was an arc and luckily this is where the insensitiveness did too.
The main characters were sweet together and I did enjoy how the author explored how the media hold different people to different standards. Luca was a sweetheart and I cannot understand why the media were so harsh to Millie as she is the same. This golden retriever x golden retriever pairing was very cute to read and the spice was also written well (even though Luca and Millie are absolutely not my type haha).
Tropes:
-Fame
-Actor x Singer
-Golden Retriever x Sunshine
-No third-act breakup
-Instant Love
-Strong Friendships
I do wish the plot had been developed a bit more, or the pacing re-evaluated. It did seem to drag and the majority of this book just felt like fluff of these two on dates - which is great content in moderation. Some of the writing also felt a bit juvenile in places and I was very shocked to see how old these characters were meant to be - they read as being in their early 20s.
I understand this is a duology but I really did not like how many loose ends there were by the time the book finished. I do want to know what is going on with Kayla.
This was a really sweet read and although insta-love isn't one of my favourite tropes, I didn't find it an issue. The characters were all delightful and I found myself invested in all of their woven stories. It is a very easy and fluffy read that isn't supposed to be too deep and provides a lot of fun. Plus what a beautiful cover! I will definitely be tuning in for book two.
I saw someone promote this book on Instagram and the synopsis and cover drew me in. But that’s basically where it ends with me. I wasn’t a fan of the format and found it hard to read (font size and grey background) and this disengaged me from the get go.
The spicy scenes did not reflect the whole vibe I got from the writing style found in the rest of the book.
This wasn’t fleshed out and felt rushed. I was let down when reading this because it had potential.
The cover of the book is very cute and overall I think it was ok. I wished to get a bit more out of it than the instant love and fluffy relationship. But the characters were very lovely and I think that what they had to deal with being a celebrity was described pretty well. The spicy scenes weren‘t the best I’ve read but ok.
I am so glad i got to read this book!
Luca is an actor, Millie is a singer. Althought both of them are famous, Only one of them is a 'worse part of the singers duo'. They fell in love at first sight, but is Luca ready for all the flaws of being with an international star?
I really enjoyed this one. It shows that sometimes being famous is not that pretty and perfect and people tend to treat stars like shit just because they made a mistake or just because they want to.
AND Luca with Millie? They are so cute together i just can't
AND THE COVER IS SO GORGEOUS! I mean look at it!
I also can't wait for the second book <3
I loved this book; it was my first I have read by Hailey, and I found it to be a nice light, easy read with a good story line and good character building which quickly had you invested in the main characters. The love at first sight trope was cute, not at all corny or over the top and the shared feelings felt by both Luca and Millie was a great relationship to follow and see how it continued to develop. Luca is a sweetheart and easy to love, Millie was a pop star but despite being a big deal was down to earth and a really genuine girl. There was a good level of spice without it overpowering the story line. I look forward to now reading the second when released.
This was such a cute read! (It took me so long to read it bc of kids but it would’ve been a quick read otherwise)
I wasn’t sure how I would feel about the love at first sight type of trope but this was very cute and I loved Luca!
I did find Millie’s hate to be a little strange and unrealistic but at the end of the day I read for fun not for how realistic a book can be. So I loved it!
Thank you so much Hailey Frost for the opportunity to read this as an ARC I very much enjoyed it and can’t wait for the second one ♥️
3 stars.
Pop star Millie and actor Luca meet and fall in love.
If I had to choose one word to describe this book, it would be "cute". This book is a fluffy sweet instalove story. It's an easy, quick read, and there's no high drama or angst involved. The sex scenes somehow felt a bit strange and separate from the rest of the story. I think the challenges being a celebrity were described well.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
* Dual pov
* Happy for now
* Insta love
* Third act: NO break up
ARC Review:
Siren’s Heart: Love at First Sight by Hailey Frost is the first book in the Siren’s Duet series. This was a sweet and fun quick read. I loved this book! I am excited to read book 2 when it comes out.
Millie was such a sweetheart and such a great friend. Her and Luca had me smiling the whole book. They were so wholesome and adorable. This was such a great read! Luca was such a green flag. This man had me swooning. Millie is one half of the pop duo Siren’s. Luca is a famous actor. They meet at a charity football match where Millie is performing the half time show and Luca is a player. They instantly feel a connection with each other. I loved how shy both characters were in the beginning. I loved the dual POV since it gave an insight into what both characters thought about the other. This book also touches on the issues of social media and how hateful people can be online. This was a cute story and I enjoyed reading it.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
HAPPY READING

I'm sorry, but I really don't think it would be the book for me, I really have to get to at least 30% of the arcs to make sure I'm not liking it (often things get better after 1/4) but it was impossible to me. It's hard to believe that these characters are over 15 years old, I found them extremely silly (in not a good way). Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for providing an arc in exchange for an honest review!
I want to start this review by saying that I didn't realize before I started reading that I was opposed to the "instalove" trope. I wanted a cute, fluffy little romance with "Tayvis" vibes, which is EXACTLY what this is. The main characters are adorable, and their little love story is sweet. I know the author was going for the "trouble with fame for females" angle, but the fact that this was their only struggle got a bit tedious to read. I found myself wanting some sort of pining or tension, which I didn't get. However, that is nothing against the author or the story! I just realized I enjoy more of a chase.
Overall, I really enjoyed this book, even if it wasn't my cup of tea. If you love "Instalove," you will love Siren's Heart.
This book is so cute. I was instantly drawn to the cover of the book. The book is about Millie a pop star and Luca an actor. They meet at a football stadium due to their being a concert. The book is cute but not cringy . It was an enjoyable read. Thank to the publisher and Net Galley for allowing me to read this in exchange for an honest review.
This book was so bubbly and fun and sweet! It was exactly what I needed to read after some heavier fantasies lately. These characters felt so real and relatable to me. Sometimes romance books have SO MUCH drama that feels unrealistic. Most relationships in real life don’t go through all that, so this felt real to me and I loved that. I enjoyed the dual POV. I love to read things from the man’s POV. I also appreciated that it was a quick read. I don’t normally enjoy celebrity type romances but this one just hit right for me. I recommend!
Diving into "Siren's Heart" by Hailey Frost felt like wrapping myself in a warm blanket on a rainy day – cozy, comforting, and utterly heart-warming. Hailey Frost weaves a tale of love at first sight in a way that tugs at your heartstrings without being over the top. The characters in this pop star romance are not just relatable and human but endearing. I also love that this is a duo and you see the outline of the second book being highlighted in this one.
What struck me most about this book was its simplicity in the face of complicated love stories. Instead of high-stakes drama, the focus is on the genuine connection between the main characters, making their relationship feel like a gentle dance rather than a tumultuous rollercoaster. It's a breath of fresh air in a genre often filled with angst and turmoil. There was nothing that strained their relationship, which really set the pacing of the entire book.
The backdrop of fame and the struggles of being a public figure added a layer of depth to the narrative, allowing us as a reader to connect more to the characters through their fears and challenges. The different POV between the FMC and the MMC was also a nice pacing change. Which was enough to keep the read intriguing, while it maintained its more cozy pacing.
While this novel holds some spice, I would rate it 3 out of 5 chilli's the romantic scenes exuded intimacy and tenderness, perfectly complementing the unfolding love story. It added more to the character development between the MMC and the FMC instead of overshadowing like some other novels and I loved it, it was beautifully written without suffocating the reader.
"Siren's Heart" is not just a book – it's a retreat into a world where love is simple, yet profound. It's the kind of read that doesn't demand much from you; instead, it invites you to sink into its pages and savor the gentle romance that unfolds. Hailey Frost has created a cozy haven for romance enthusiasts, and I found myself immersed in every chapter, reluctant to leave the characters behind. I found this book to be a escape from some of my heavy reads where I did not have to think about anything. Instead all I had to do was curl up with a coffee and just enjoy this cute little cozy romance.
As I eagerly await the sequel, I find myself grateful to the author for crafting such a delightful love story that feels like a warm embrace on a chilly evening. If you're in need of a dose of heart-warming romance and sweet escapism, "Siren's Heart" is the perfect choice to curl up with and lose yourself in a world where love reigns supreme, love at first sight was never my trope until this book.
A massive thank you to Netgalley for allowing me to review this beautiful ARC and adding a sequel to my TBR list.
Siren's Heart - Love at first Sight by Hailey Frost is the perfect light read to kick your feet and squeal to! I loved following Millie and Luca’s story from their first glimpse of each other through to their happy ending! I always love when a story is progressed through means other than a miscommunication trope, so for those who feel the same this one is for you! I’m really looking forward to reading Siren’s Game which follows the other half of the pop duo so I can get the full picture. Overall, a fun read that lifts your mood, definitely recommend! Thank you to the author and Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op for the ARC!
This review will be published to Goodreads, Instagram, and Amazon AU on the 11th May 2024.
This was a such sweet and cute read!! You follow both Luca and Millie through a journey of love and the struggles of being a celebrity. I was nervous for the love and first site, however this was executed soo well. Depending on who you are this is a 2 or 3 spice level. I was so happy to read that the problems that they are facing don’t really have anything to do with the couple but outside forces. (Aka no miscommunication in the 3rd act!! :) ) Millie’s character is genuinely a strong character and I love her friendship with Kayla. This book has me so excited to see the whole story of Asher and Kayla (I think they’ll be my favorite with the crumbs we got🤭🥰)
Thank you so much to NetGalley, ARC provided by Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op, and the author, Hailey Frost, for providing me with an ARC copy in exchange for an honest and fair review
First of all thank you so much for providing this ARC!
Very very cute romance of a pop girlie and an actor <3
Since rn in this era lots of pop girlies are dating actors
And i'm glad to get feed with this book lmao
Millie has a interesting story about her fame and i really like Luca he's sucha bf material guy
Very sweet and heartwarming book!
at first I wasn't so sure about the love at first sight trope, but I am so glad to stand corrected! This was so much more than love at first sight and Millie and Luca are just adorable! 💗
Super refreshing to read a book where the obligatory third act drama doesn't stem from the relationship itself and see some actually ✨good communication✨
There's cuteness and fluff, but the smut is definitely there as well! 🤭
The book totally has Tayvis vibes, but I appreciate that it doesn't read like a fanfiction, because the story is so different! 💕
Thank you so much to Netgalley, Victory Editing Co-Op and Hailey Frost for providing me with an advance copy of this book!
This book put a goofy smile on my face. It started off a little slow for me but when Luca came into the picture everything changed for me. Their first kiss?? It was everything. I was so excited for them, and when they went back to her apartment i was so invested i got not put my book down. This book overall was such a cute romance story, i loved all the characters so much. Millie really stood out to me while reading she brought so much character to this book. She was so fun, easy going, this book just gave me early 2000's rom-com vibes in the best way. I am usually not a fan of reading books with "famous" people in it, or that being a plot or troe so maybe that is why it was hard for me to get into it at first, but once i kept going and falling in love with the characters, I really enjoyed the book. Lucas really was the main reason i loved this book so much, he was so sweet, cute, and just brought all the typically cute, good girl feels to the book.
