This book is the second in the series, but i think it was better than book #1. Super cute, super fresh, and super artistic. I loved this book. It would make the perfect halloween read, so add it to your tbr soon! This book will peak your interest and keep you invested all the way through.

I have to say, first off, I liked the first book better than this one. HAving said that, this one was filled with a diverse cast of characters, more so than the first, and more of an in-depth story line in the relationship between FMC Caroline and MMC Ben.
Their relationship is a second chance, later in life ( 35+) romance, complete with Ben's two teenage children thrown in. The family dynamic was a good secondary storyline.
I'm assuming book 3 will be about their friend Alice and that should be interesting since she is under the thumb of her grandparents
3 stars from me.

Another delightful witch romance by Molly Harper! I love her energy, her humor, and her great female friendships - she is an auto-read for me. I was first drawn to her because of her series set in Kentucky, where I grew up - she gave such an accurate vibe of the setting it was deeply satisfying. I'm sure that readers from Michigan are now getting to enjoy the same 'aha!' moment, while I learn new things about the quirks of a new area.

"Big Witch Energy" is a fun, cozy, mildly spicy, witchy romance. The book is the second in a series, but works fairly well as a standalone. I did have some unanswered questions, especially about the magic system, that might have been answered in book one, but nothing so substantive as to really dampen my enjoyment of the book. FMC Caroline and MMC Ben are sweet together, even if his "I never stopped loving her" schtick made me mildly cringey since he had a whole family with someone else during their time apart. I loved Caroline's friends, her chosen family, including Plover. And Ben's kids are fantastic characters, even if slightly unrealistic. Overall a fun and worthwhile read.
4 stars. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for a complimentary copy of this book. These opinions are my own.

This book felt so incredibly long, it seemed like it would never end.
I didn't particularly like the writing style and some plot choices that the author used.
The relationship between the characters lacked warmth, and Ben wasn't fascinating.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I enjoyed Book 2 just as much as book 1! I love the ghost-wrangling angle and the romance was sweet. Lots of action and a pleasing end.

3.75stars—BIG WITCH ENERGY is the second instalment in Molly Harper’s contemporary, adult STARFALL POINT paranormal, mystery/suspense series. This is witch Caroline Wilson, and doctor/single father Ben Hoult’s story line BIG WITCH ENERGY can be read as a stand alone but for backstory and cohesion, I recommend reading the series in order as there is an ongoing premise throughout.
Told from dual omniscient third person perspectives (Caroline and Ben) BIG WITCH ENERGY follows the second chance relationship between our story line couple. Caroline and Ben were childhood sweethearts but a curse threatens the Wilson family, and Caroline was unable to leave Starfall Point, sending the man that she loved towards a future with someone else. Fast forward to present day, Dr. Ben Hoult returns to his home town with his two teenaged children in tow, a return that pulls the family into a world of mayhem and magic. Dark magic is taking aim at our story line heroine, and with the help of Ben’s children Mina and Josh, Caroline will discover the truth about a family curse that goes back hundreds of years. What ensues is the rebuilding relationship between Caroline and Ben, and the potential fall-out as the past refuses to let go of a perceived betrayal.
The world building follows the rekindling relationship between our story line couple, and the revelations that Ben’s children discover the truth about their connection to Starfall Point
The relationship between Ben and Caroline is one of second chances. Unable to leave Starfall Point, Caroline pushed Ben Hoult out of her life but never out of her heart or mind Ben’s return home comes with the addition of his children, and the position of Starfall Point’s new doctor, and the possibility of a new chance at a happily ever after. The $ex scenes are all implied.
The secondary and supporting characters include Caroline’s coven: Riley (Edison) and Alice; ghost mentor and house butler Plover; attorney Clark; an assortment of ghosts, as well as the introduction of Caroline’s parents Gert and Denny; brothers Will and Wally; Ben’s children Mina and Josh, and handyman Cole.
BIG WITCH ENERGY is a story of magic, betrayal and vengeance, family and forgiveness, acceptance and love . The character driven premise is enchanting and magical; the characters are determined and dynamic; the romance is subtle.

Starfall Point - what a fun series!
Her books never fail to entertain me. They always have light paranormal adventures and don’t get too dark, but are fun romances at the same time.
Book 1 introduced us to Starfall Point and the newly formed coven of witches, Riley, Caroline and Alice, after Riley arrives to the island and inherits Shaddow House. Riley has the job of assisting spirits with clearing up final wishes and crossing over to the other side.
Caroline now comes face-to-face with a blast from the past basically on the doorstep of Shaddow House - someone she never thought she would see again when he left for college and they broke up… her high school sweetheart Be. He left when her family curse kept her confined to the island, and he went off to live his life. He’s now back with his two teenagers in toe and his ex-wife in their rear view…
This has been on my TBR for a long time because of how much I enjoy Harper’s books, and with it being in Audible Plus, the ebook of the second one coming out, I figured it was time. Amanda Ronconi and Teddy Hamilton narrate - 2 of the best in the business! I was able to get the e-ARC and both read and listen at the same time, which I love being able to do. Thanks to NetGalley and Sourcebooks Casablanca for the early copy - this is my honest feedback.

I found myself engaged in the story and romance of Big Witch Energy and enjoy the quaint island setting. The story is not over, and with how this one ends, I worry for Alice, the group’s third and final member.

This book was so cute and fun to get into! With no expectations except it was going to be a cute little witchy romance, I was super pumped to jump in and enjoy it!
And I loved every second of it. It was cute, fun and a blast to read. I finished it in one sitting and was giggling my feet the entire time! Super cute and so much fun for a spooky season, fall read!
Thank you NetGalley for an eARC!

A fun quick read - paranormal romance with dual POV, second chance romance, and a dastardly plot filled with twists.
There is something comforting about reading Molly Harper's books. They are exactly what I am expecting, and always a fun read. While I don't think this series will overtake as my favorite one, this is still a fun book with mature characters and a complex plot that I raced through reading. I still love the world that Harper has built and I have such a soft spot for having it all in Michigan. There is something about Harper's sense of humor that always has me laughing and this book is no exception.
Great book for anyone looking for a fun paranormal romance with a full town's worth of fascinating characters.

Second chance romance between a witch and a doctor who were high school sweethearts. Caroline Wilton is a witch who has lived her entire life in Starfall Point. She can't leave... because if she does theres a good chance she'll die. Her family's curse has her trapped... and when it's costs her everything including her high school sweetheart whom she let go of and who went off to college and never came back... until now. Dr. Ben Hoult has returned to Starfall Point to take over the medical clinic... but he's actually back for Caroline. After a divorce and now raising two kids, he still has his heart set on the one woman who has held his heart all along... the one who broke his heart. Yet when his two teens meddle their way into coven business he suddenly finds himself steeped in the world of magic and that Caroline is now back in his life helping his kids... and restarting their relationship. Yet with angry ghosts, sinister legends, and curses... can Caroline and Ben make this second chance at romance work or will their hurts from the past keep them from opening their hearts up to one another again? This was a fairly cute second chance romance with a witchy touch. It kind of gave me practical magic vibes with the small town and the family curse. It's definitely a cute witchy book for the autumn season! I thought the romance was overall cute but the mystery was meh to me, I thought the couple had fairly good chemistry and while not being an amazing book it was a good read and one I would definitely recommend for spooky season.

*Thanks Netgalley and SOURCEBOOKS Casablanca | Sourcebooks Casablanca for sending me an arc in exchange for an honest review*

Another standout paranormal witchy small island town, dual POV second chance romance that sees single dad, Ben returning to Starfall and rekindling a relationship with his high school sweetheart, Caroline. Thanks to a family curse, Caroline hasn't been able to leave the island and has the ability to help ghosts attached to heirloom objects find peace.
When a dark presence from her family's history becomes increasingly menacing it will take all of Caroline's and her friends' efforts to save the trapped spirit and banish the evil haunting Caroline's family bar. Great on audio narrated by Teddy Hamilton and Amanda Ronconi and perfect for fans of authors like Erin Sterling, Ann Aguirre, April Asher or Hazel Beck.
This is the second book in the Starfall series but can be read as a standalone. I can't wait to read Alice's story next! Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an early digital copy of the newly reissued Sourcebooks Casablanca edition (the cover of which is fantastic!).
Steam level: some open door scenes

Is it possible for Molly Harper to write anything I don't like? So far, it doesn't seem like it. It might not have been my favorite of her books, but it's still a lovely read and along with the first one, an excellent series that I'm greatly enjoying.

Returning to Starfall Point, it's time to find love for another of the Island's residents.
Ben has recently returned to the island with his children, to his childhood home, and Caroline has never left, owing to a family curse.
A fun found family, witch, sweet romance, just as one comes to expect from Harper.
Delightful.

A high-school-sweetheart-second-chance-romance with a magical twist! Caroline's family is cursed to never be able to leave the island, and her former boyfriend Ben returns after twenty years to go on to bigger-and-better-things, now divorced and with two teenage kids, their reunion is already awkward enough without the addition of magic and ghosts.
I love that this fun romance focused on elder millennials thriving! And it's so refreshing that Ben's teenage children were actually plot-relevant and not accessories.
The romance itself felt like it took a bit of back-seat to the overarching magic/ghost plot, but you couldn't have one without the other!
I'm definitely interested to see where the third book takes us next.

Thank you to NetGalley and Sourcebooks Casablanca for providing the ARC.
This was a fun little witchy second chance romance with a bit of mystery and intrigue. Caroline is a cursed witch with the inability to leave the island she grew up on and Ben is a doctor, back after 20 years and a failed marriage, and maybe looking to rekindle a romance that he thought he had left behind.
Caroline and Ben were a mix of dorky cute and just a bit ridiculous, but in a good way. At times, things were awkward, but I enjoyed myself when reading their story. Not the best book, but it was a good start to the witchy season.
