Life goes on for the women of Harper’s. Kitty finds a new job and a new love but must deal with loss and a new found life. Sally and Beth face problems with crime and family. Love this saga. Can’t wait for 5e next one.

I've loved all this series although have to say this title was one of my least enjoyable. I read before bed so like something easy going and light hearted and this title sadly didn't tick the box. I found it to lack any happy times like there have been in other titles in the series. There was plenty of drama and sadness but thinking back I can't think of many happy elements to the story. I also thought it was disappointing more was not made of Vera's story as it is so important. I hope this is addressed in the next in the series.

Thank you to NetGalley, the publishers and author for allowing me to read and review the title.

As always these books. They continue a great family saga. The characters are amazing as always. Plus very heartwarming

As always, with books by Rosie Clarke, reading part of a series always feels like catching up with old friends. This book had a bit of everything- drama, romance, sadness, happiness. I don't know how the author does it, but she makes every book an adventure and always leaves me desperate for the next in the series to be released so I can find out what happens next. Absolutely brilliant - another hit!

Joining the Harpers “family” again we follow the turmoil of Kitty Wilson who is devastated when her father dies, only to then find that her mother has found a most unlikely suitor for her. Could her mother, Annie have ulterior motives?
Kitty is rescue by her kind neighbour Larry who finds digs for her with people who have just as little as Kitty. Restoring her faith in people again.
That along with the kindness of Beth Burrows from the shop. Meanwhile Sally Harper has worries of her own when Ben has a secret that he’s been keeping from his partner Jack, in the restaurant the pair of them run. Ben has broken the rule of good management by not discussing everything with Jack, could this have consequences for both families?

I loved the continuing story through the book of Kitty’s parents! The mention of old characters, the main one being Mr Marco who’s been a favourite of mine since the beginning. My least favourites equally were Joshua Miller and Annie Wilson.
Then there’s the mention of Dressmakers Alley.
One thing that struck home was the treatment/lack of for Robert Wilson and Vera Burrows.

Look forward to the next instalment.
