This is a wonderful
Story. The world building is just so beautiful. I loved all the little details. How everything is not perfect and human flaw still exist. The characters are so vivid and very vibrant. I loved them. Such self reflection and humanity that causes the real issue not what you would expect. The plot was a joyful ride with just the right amount of twists. Martin made me laugh. I highly recommend this book. It is a great touching belly laughing romance.

This was a cosy fun time and much spicier than I anticipated. Loved the mouthwatering recipes especially!

Thank you, Netgalley, the author, Random House Publishing for the gifted e-book! ❤️ #gifted. My review is comprised of my honest thoughts.
Read this book if you like: Family curses/hex, paranormal, spicy
I enjoyed this one. It was cozy, funny, and spicy. It was a bit too insta love for me, but it was a good read.

✨ ARC Review✨
Rate: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨
I was actually surprised by how much I enjoyed this book! This was a new author for me and I can't wait to read more from her. I loved the witchy and cozy vibes it had! And the SPICY! LORD!
Dian's a witch who owns a cafe in London and wish I could visit it! The setting for the story is perfect and who doesn't like a cafe with rainy weather?! Especially with a chai and a good book! I loved how Dina’s Moroccan background is woven into the story. It gives her character so much depth, and the whole book feels even more special with that cultural touch.
Dian believes that she is cursed since whenever she tries to get close to someone, bad luck follows...
However, in walks Scott, just back from traveling the world after taking time to heal from past heartbreaks. He’s ready to be the best man at his friend’s wedding.
Que the cute meet up! By chance, Scott and Dian meet at her cafe and their attraction to each other is magic! While the sparks are there, they go their separate way. That is until they are unexpectedly reunited as maid of honor and best man at their close friend's wedding.
As the wedding progresses, Dina and Scott are forced to spend more time together and even "forced" to be roommate :p
Their attraction is undeniable and the SPICY was everything I wanted! And it worked so well because their chemistry felt real, they had communicated and their backstory added depth to their relationship.
I love a strong female lead and friend group! Also, the guys weren’t afraid to show their emotions either so that made me love the book even more!
I can't wait to read more books from this author!

Talk about pumpkin spice 😳
Witch books are my favorites, but combine that with baking? Even better. Dina owns a pastry shop and just happens to like a little magic with her pastries. Shes always been unlucky in love and now she needs to protect her heart even more - Dina believes she has been hexed and anyone who loves her will be harmed. When she meets Scott at her best friend’s wedding, the last thing she expected was to fall for him. Maybe loving him will be worth the risk.
I had such a great time reading this book. I thought Dina’s magic and spell working with her pastries was so original and I loved the way the author wrote these scenes. Scott was such a dreamy love interest and he fell hard fast. This book was the perfect blend of sweet and spicy, and I can’t wait to see what this author cooks up next. I’ll definitely be rereading this come Fall.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for a review copy.

This was a light, funny witchy romcom. While it didn’t work for me from a chemistry standpoint, I had a lot of fun reading it.

It was cute and fun. Perfect for the spooky season. Would definitely recommend and reread during the fall again. Easy to read and understand.

This was very cute and sweet! It took me a little bit to get into it, but it was an enjoyable read for sure.

This book was such a breath of fresh air! I loved all of the fall and Halloween vibes. Dina was such a loveable FMC and I also loved her friends and how supportive they were of her. Scott was also the sweetest and I loved them together so much. I knew that they wouldn't be able to stay away from each other because fate was constantly bringing them together. I can't believe she cursed herself because she didn't love herself enough to let someone in fully. I related a lot to Dina because I have the same issues. I honestly wish she would have told her mom about the hex sooner but also I guess if she would have, she may have never met Scott. I felt so bad that she felt like she couldn't go to her parents about her being bi, but I am so happy with how they reacted in the end. Such a great read and I can't wait to read more by this author.

From the very first scene, I was completely vibing with the fall aesthetic! 🍂 A witchy coffee shop in London during October? Yes, please! This book is packed with uncanny coincidences, delicious baked goods, a sassy feline familiar, and just the right amount of spice. It strikes the perfect balance between cozy, magical, romantic, and healing from past relationship trauma.
Highly recommend it to all my spicy romance-loving friends—especially if you’re looking for the perfect spooky season read! 👻
Thank you, NetGalley & Random House, for the ARC!

I wanted to love this book since it hits all the right spots for me when I'm looking for a witchy romance but there was so much about it that rubbed me the wrong way. Not a bad book, per se, but it just didn't hit the way I wanted it to.

Such a warm comfy atmospheric novel! Perfect to cuddle up in front of the fireplace on a cold autumn evening.
The story is set in London so reading it as American is always a joy to learn more about the other side and how they write novels (single quotation versus the double). I love that this was a witchy novel about a baker who meets the perfect man for her.
This was a bit of a telling instead of showing story so the beginning was really a slog to get through but it really built up in the middle and end. I wish the hex was more focused on at the wedding. It wasn't until afterwards that it affected them.

This cozy witch paranormal romance was so much fun. With a chaotic bisexual fmc, you know you're going to have a good time. I loved the idea of not finding love because of a hex from an ex and then finding the perfect someone. This was so much fun.

Best Hex Ever by Nadia El-Fassi is a delightful blend of charm, wit, and enchantment that captures readers with its imaginative storytelling. This urban fantasy novel features a strong, relatable protagonist who embarks on a journey that is both humorous and heartwarming. The story is built around the world of magic, where spells and hexes are as ordinary as coffee and conversations, and the stakes often feel personal and high.
What sets Best Hex Ever apart is its ability to balance humor with depth. El-Fassi's writing is sharp and engaging, with a tone that keeps you hooked from the very first page. The magical elements are well-crafted, and the world-building feels fresh, combining elements of modern-day life with a magical twist. The character development is another highlight—our protagonist is smart, resourceful, and vulnerable, making her a character that readers can root for from start to finish.
The relationships between characters, both romantic and platonic, are also key to the story's success. There’s a lovely dynamic between the protagonist and her companions, each adding something unique to the plot. The humor doesn’t detract from the emotional beats; instead, it enhances them, providing a perfect balance of light-heartedness and sincerity.
However, some readers might find a few of the twists predictable, but they’re still enjoyable due to the strength of the writing and the well-executed pacing. The romance, while present, doesn’t overshadow the main plot, which is always a pleasant surprise in genre fiction.
Overall, Best Hex Ever is an engaging, fun read with an intriguing magical premise and an endearing cast of characters. Nadia El-Fassi has crafted a story that will resonate with fans of urban fantasy and anyone looking for a bit of whimsy in their reading. Highly recommended for those who enjoy a well-paced, entertaining adventure with a dash of romance and a sprinkle of magic.

This was a bit of a mixed bag for me. I loved a few things but the others absolutely didn't work for me. What I loved was the emotional depth given to the characters. It was so brilliantly done. The coming out scene was the highlight of the book for me. However, I would have loved to see the characters connect a little more. Falling in love is different from falling in lust and there's a fine line you need to walk to make sure that it doesn't come across as the characters only in the relationship cause they're physically attracted to each other, which is where the book seemed to gravitate more towards.
Nonetheless, it was a fun and breezy story and I enjoyed myself as I read this!

Dina is what’s known as a kitchen witch, she puts her magic into her baking. She is working on making the best tasty treats for her best friends wedding when she meets the best man and there is an instant chemistry.
.
The story was cute. I loved Dina’s parents, they were fantastic. And I thought Scott was a great character, he’s just breaking through the fog he has been in for the last two years after a bad breakup. I also really liked the idea of using magic to put feelings into food.
.
I just struggled with Dina’s character a little bit. I wanted to like her but I kind of didn’t. 🙈 She had this “oh woe is me” attitude and was all “nothing will solve my problem”.
.
3⭐️⭐️⭐️ Also the spice in this was like, extra spicy and the insta love was just a lot. I didn’t feel like I got enough moments where the couple was connecting on a level other than “OMG you are so attractive”.

I value the opportunity I was given to read this in advance, but I still haven't read this. With so many books ahead of me, I cannot return to this title.

Best Hex Ever was an adorable witchy romance filled with lighthearted banter, whimsical magic, toxic past relationships, spice, and so much emotion. These characters were not afraid to feel everything with their entire chest and that translated well as the reader. I absolutely sobbed when the FMC came out as bisexual to her mother and when she was able to see herself from the perspective of someone who loved her. It was so emotional and empowering and beautiful. I loved that the MMC was not afraid to cry or self reflect on how past relationships made him insecure about certain things. This is top tier emotional maturity that I LOVE to see in books. Then there was the spice. No punches were pulled and it was HOT. I blushed more than once and could not keep the grin off my face while reading. I’m not usually a fan of an “insta love” relationship, but this one was a delight.
I’m always looking for reads that elicit physical emotions and reactions, whether it be laugh out loud humor, actual tears shed, or heart palpitations from a really intense scene. Best Hex Ever will make you laugh and cry and you will feel that second hand heartbreak.

Thank you to Netgalley and the Publishing Company for this Advanced Readers Copy of Best Hex Ever by Nadia El-Fassi!

Theres something so cozy about baking romances and mixing that with a touch of witchy charm is enchanting (all puns fully intentded). I love the overcoming a hex trope it perfectly builds in tension and creates stakes for our couple
