The Perfect Home by Natasha Boydell focuses on three different families that have just moved to the exclusive Westford Park housing estate, The community has beautiful houses with big gardens, a pool, a boating lake, extensive grounds. It also has 24/7 security, which is why most of the families have moved there. The mothers of the three families quickly form a close friendship, and their children do as well.

As time goes on, the security is more lax than expected and weird things start happening, concerning the families that their secrets are not as hidden as they think.

Natasha Boydell does a great job of quickly establishing the different characters and each family dynamic is unique, making it easy to determine which POV you are reading.

The friendships felt a bit forced, with the author telling us they were close without showing us that they are close. The ending also seemed a bit rushed, trying to tie together all the loose ends. However, overall the story was well done. It was fast paced, an easy read, and does all the things a good domestic thriller should do.

Thank you to NetGalley, Natasha Boydell, and Boldwood Books for the ARC.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publishers for this ARC! This book was pretty enjoyable. It hooked me right away and it was easy to follow what was happening. I did find the ending a bit anticlimactic, though.

So THE PERFECT HOME was a twisty, addictive domestic thriller and a solid introduction to me of author Natasha Boydell. I am already seeing what else I can read! I found the lives of all these families so intoxicating. They all seem to have everything together on the outside, when in reality they are all running from ghosts or hiding some skeletons. They all have children who also seem to be a little... off. And when the young kids start to hang out, what could be the harm in that? But it turns out that maybe this newfound group of friends will be the reason that everyone's secrets start tumbling forward. And Boydell has this story crafted in such a way that you think the book is going to be one thing, but it turns into something completely different. I really enjoyed it!

Lily, Sandy and Avril move into the same neighborhood and are fast friend, their children also are best friend so life feels good.
Told in a 3 person pov ,we follow their lives as they leave the past behind them and enjoy life in their new homes. That is until a girl goes missing. Could this have anything to do with why the 3 friends moved homes and that they had thought they'd left behind the past
Tense and thrilling read.

Thank you Boldwood Books and NetGalley for the ARC of this book.

This was my first book from this author and unfortunately, my last.

The book is told in third person from the perspective of three female characters. Families with secrets they are trying to escape from, move to Westford Park community for a fresh start. I found the book to be quite slow and difficult to get into. It felt like the characters were easily overreacting and all over the place, making drama from nothing. There was a lot of internal dialogue and repetition that did not add to the story. I will give credit for two big twists I didn't see coming but those were sort of breezed through.

It took me about 25% to get into the book but after it started to pick up, I was hooked. I enjoyed the book.

This starts out weird, it stays weird, and it is a quick easy read. What is not love?
I did find the whole coincidence of two families moving into houses across the street from one another in the same day/week to be unsettling though. It set a tone.
Does that ever happen in real life?
Love it. Write more.

Avirl, Sandy, and Lily are the newest best of friends thanks to them all moving into a new neighborhood development. Their 3 kids also become the best of friends. In here we follow the family's lives as they adjust to moving in and wanting a fresh start. Everyone felt safe in Westford Park, their problems didn't follow them there or so they thought. One girl goes missing and we have to find her and find out why.

This was a good read. Sometimes it was a little hard to follow, keeping everyone's names and stories straight in your head. For me it got a little boring in parts but when it revealed the things that needed to be revealed, I was glued to the edge of my seat. This was the 2nd book I read by Natasha Boydell and I enjoyed it.

Thanks Net Galley for this free arc. 3.5 Starts rounded up to 4

Three families move into the exclusive Waterford community. The three women bond quickly and become close friends as do their teenagers. Each family has their own secrets until a girl disappears and things come to the forefront. These characters were relatable and well developed. This was a fast paced page turner that I definitely recommend.

Thank you #BoldwoodBooks and #NetGallery for this ARC.

This book took me a while to get into. A lot of information that was not necessarily needed which made the book drag on.

Three families (three POV’s) move into a new rich neighborhood to hide away from life’s previous problems only to have those problems follow them there. The twists within the book did not seem very climatic and it felt like there could have been more but overall this was an easy read.

This was my first book from Natasha Boydell. Thank you NetGalley and Boldwood Books for an early copy of The Perfect Home. The book starts out with three different families moving into a new community. Each family has their secrets and reasons on why they are moving with their children in tow. As the mothers meet and click together, so does their teenage children and that's when the story starts to pick up.

As soon as I picked up the book, I could not put it down. I finished the book in one day because I was determine to find out all the secrets each character had. When I thought I had the book figured out, another twist pops up. I will give the book four stars, only because I felt there could have been a couple extra chapters to finish the story, the ending was good but felt rushed.

I will definitely read more from Natasha Boydell!

Thank you NetGalley and Boldwood Books for an early copy of The Perfect Home. This was a great book about friendships in the older generation as well as the younger. The characters were great, it was a Wonderful read. I didn’t like the ending with Clare, I was a bit confused regarding why she did what she did but otherwise it was happy endings for all and I Love when books end like that. I would love to see a sequel.

I absolutely loved this book. We meet Clare and Sandy and their son Mickey. Avril and Stuart and their daughter Bethany. And Lily and Eric and their daughter Poppy. I loved the multiple points of views. It definitely made the story very interesting. Avril knows it’s time for a fresh start so they decide to move to Westford Park, a gated community with 24 hour security. All these families moved here because it’s a really safe place to live… or is it? Sandy is always on edge, wondering if her ex will show up. There are so many twists and turns! Things in the community seem to be going well.. until they no longer are. Strange things keep happening. Can they all trust each other? I was truly shocked by the ending. I had an idea in my head of how it may end but it ended a completely different way. There was so much suspense in this book. I loved the friendship between the kids, they really seemed to have each other’s backs. I really didn’t want the book to end. I would love it if there was a second one.

Thank you so much NetGalley, Natasha and Boldwood Books for the ARC!

A Tangled Web..
What a tangled web they weave - in this contemporary suspense with a dark edge. Three families, a gated community, a missing girl and neighbours with more secrets than you can shake a stick at. With a deft combination of tension and mystery, an intriguing tale is woven. Compelling and immersive with a well crafted cast of characters and a propulsive plot littered with twists.

Thanks to NetGalley for this arc. This was kinda hard for me to follow with all the characters names introduced. There are 3 families that move into a luxurious community that’s safe with big houses and the 3 mothers become fast friends Avril, Lily and Sandy with their teenagers all getting to know each other too. We get to know each of the women and their families one by one but to me Sandy’s past comes up and we get to know her backstory a lot with her ex. Bethany, Avril’s daughter got expelled from her other school and is now Lily has assumptions about Bethany being bad and possibly could harm her daughter Poppy and also Sandy’s son, Mikey since they are the group of friends. 40% through or around that, that’s when mysterious things start to happen to the teenagers and little by little the secrets that are supposed to be tight lipped slip out and unfold with events happening and tensions get higher as time goes on. At the 70% there’s another twist but the whole story was just lacking some things I was hoping for. Overall I had some fun while I was reading it but it’s very forgettable.
