As a mostly romance reader I absolutely loved this love triangle with a mer dur mystery twist. I had so many theories as this story progressed, bouncing back and forth between past and present and not a single dang one came even close to the truth. KMod did it again and it's no wonder I constantly go back for more.

I really loved Carmen. Outside of her inability to decide between two boys/men... She was a really strong and likable character who still let her emotions show and I appreciated how Kiersten portrayed her. For as much as I dislike love triangles, I loved how this one was written and how Carmen symbolized her road to her choice in the end.

I really want to give my opinion on who she chose, but I don't want to ruin it. I will say I loved her choice and while I think things turned out the way they were supposed to, I wish she could have been brave enough to trust her instincts earlier. I have a feeling they were right all along.

The audio was fantastic. Diana Bustelo narrated Carmen and the rest of this cast so well and I really enjoyed listening to this story.

I love Kiersten Modglin and this is no different. A gripping blend of psychological thriller and coming-of-age story. Following Carmen's experience at the seemingly idyllic campground, the discovery of a dead body and her first love amidst "sinister secrets" creates a web of intrigue. No one solves the mystery in the past and also the present like Ms Modglin. Also? Extremely sexy read.

Three friends. Two brothers. One body.

Eleven years ago, Carmen left Hunter’s Hollow after discovering her friend’s body, leaving everything behind, including Jack and Dean Hunter. She has now returned to face the past, but soon a guest is reported as missing and it feels like the past is what is returning to Hunter’s Hollow.

This book was not a typical KMod book, with all the twists and turns of a fast-paced thriller. Rather, it is more of a romantic suspense novel with a coming-of-age vibe as well.

But don’t let that fool you, this book will suck you in and have you completely consumed by it. It is very atmospheric and keeps you reading to find out the next piece of the story.

I loved the love triangle between Jack, Dean and Carmen. I am not usually a fan of slow burns, but this was done so perfectly, holding my attention enough to binge through it in 24 hours.

Overall, if you enjoy a good romantic suspense, you need to read this book!

Thank you NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for a copy of this audiobook in exchange of an honest review.

I love this author so this was a must for me. It was was mostly a tale of romance. There is a ghastly murder but it is barely a blip in this tale. We have our protagonist as a young teen and then later as an adult. She falls in love with teen brothers (I guess).
And this is that story. It was really sweet actually.
Loved the narration!

This book was a romance thriller which intrigued me as I don't think I had listened to one before. If Kiersten Modglin wrote it I want to read/listen to it. This one has your heart going out to Carmen as her father dies and she must move to a new place.

She moves to a campground in the Hollow for her mother to be close to her best friend Jill Hunter. Jill has two boys Jack and Dean. Both boys like Carmen and she gets her heart broken and put back together again.

Her best friend Shelby gets murdered at the hollow and the case was never solved. Then someone else goes missing and it is clear a killer is still on the loose.

I liked the past and present time lines, found family, a little mystery and romance all tossed together for a highly entertaining audiobook.

This was different for this author in that it was more of a drama, love triangle story with a very SMALL side story mystery BUT I actually really found myself enjoying it. It's nothing super unique for a brothers love triangle but I was swept up into it right away.

I wish the mystery had been a bit bigger and then the conclusion of it was kind of anticlimactic, lame but the overall story was cute. It was fast and kept me entertained. Probably not for everybody tho but I like her addictive writing style. But I do hope the next one has just as much romance but also a bigger mystery storyline!! I do really love that she's doing more romantic drama. The audio format was great and I'd recommend it!!

Thanks to #NetGalley and #DreamscapeMedia for the book #TheHollow by #KierstenModglin. After her fathers death, Carmen and her mom move to Hunters hollow, to help run a campground with her mothers best friend. Carmen grows up with Jack and Dean, with something of a love triangle. A fatal tragedy that happens in one of the cabins leaves Carmen devastated and she hasn’t returned in 11 years. Now she is back for the summer and is trying to get to the bottom of that horrible night and hopefully to move past it all. I enjoyed this book and couldn’t stop till I had devoured it all.

Couldn't get into this one. Maybe because it didn't seem like a thriller but more love triangle type stuff. I only listened for an hour or so and then quit. Her books seem to be either blah or out of park for me. This one fell short.

After reading other reviews, I know it’s been said many times, but I’ll say it again anyway- this is not the full-of-suspense thriller that we’re used to from Kiersten Modglin. While there are still elements of a psychological thriller, buried secrets discovered, and omg moments, this book focuses more on the love triangle between Carmen, Jack, and Dean at Hunter’s Hollow and all that comes with that. This audiobook was very well done and narrator, Diana Bustelo was fantastic. Thank you so much to NetGalley and to Dreamscape Media for the opportunity to be among the first to listen to The Hollow. Kiersten Modglin is one of my favorite authors and she never disappoints!
