I liked this but didn't love it. Typical tale of rich people that lets in an outsider, nothing was surprising or stood out.

Mabel Dagmar is a scholarship student at an East Coast college. She has for a roommate in her dorm, Ev Winslow, a wealthy and prviliged person. Ev donates a Degas at the school museum on her 18th birthday. Mabel is invited to Ev's birthday party. Why? Despite their difference, Mabel is invited to spend the summer at the Winslow's cabin known as Bittersweet on a lake. Ev's parents rule from the Trillium House. Athol, Ev's oldest brother arrives with his family as well as Banning (second son) with his family. Then the emigna Galway (third son) comes up only on the weekends. After meeting Ev's Aunt Indo, Mabel is quickly involved in the family's mysteries. What is Aunt Indo trying to find out?why are so many doors locked? What will Mabel find out?
The author has written a novel with clues, twists and turns including fascinating characters. It is quite suspenseful.
